Why Is Install Wizard Not Opening

Why is InstallShield Wizard not working? How do I fix it?

I will suggest posting the question on the InstallShield community forum — Flexera Software Community Forums. Or if you have bought the Support plan, you can contact InstallShield support too.

What is the Wise Installation Wizard?

It's a packager, for the lack of a better term, that some developers use to package their applications so people can run them. Wise has been around for some time and I really doubt they are adding viruses or spyware in their little packaging program. It is possible that a file inside the package is infected.

Just like you put stuff in a box and ship it, wise installer is like the box you use as a container to hold different files that the developers are trying to distribute.

Why isn't my PC game installing?

When installing manually, you need to right-click the DVD/CD drive that has the game and choose "Open" from the menu. Then look for the "Setup" file and right-click that one and choose "run as administrator" and let the game install...

But... since the game is from 1999, it should have DirectX8, maybe even DirectX7, so you'll probably have to install that manually too...

Sometimes, when right-clicking the disk in "Computer" there's an option in the pop-up menu to install DirectX. If not, again "open" the game's disc and look for a "DirectX" folder. Inside that folder, double-click the "dxsetup" file near the bottom of the list of compressed files and let the directx install. After that, do as I described at the top of my reply to install the game.

When the install has succeeded, you also should right-click the game's desktop shortcut and choose "properties" and then the "Compatibility" tab. On that tab, tick the box in front of "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and choose either "Windows 98 / ME" or "Windows 2000" from the roll-out menu.

Also tick the box at the bottom in front of "Run this program as an administrator".

Click "OK" and you should be set.

How do I delete the Wise Installation Wizard?

Wise installation Wizard is not a program on your hard drive. You see, when you (un)install software, you're running a program called Wise Installation Wizard that knows what to do to install/uninstall the software you want.

To explain it another way, Wise Installation Wizard is the program that installs other software. It's not installed on your C drive, it is part of your software and deletes your software when asked. It deletes itself in the process of uninstalling your software, and cannot be removed separately because that would be like removing your brain from your body. It just doesn't work.

Why is Android Studio reinstalling every time I open it?

Thanks for A2A!I believe you are launching the file that you downloaded from the internet instead of the shortcut file for Android Studio (This file is generated once installation in complete). The one you've downloaded is an installer and it always installs Android Studio when ever it is launched. So, while installing, check the box which says to create desktop shortcut. Now, when installation in complete, the shortcut will be created on your desktop.Hope that helps :)

How do I fix uTorrent not opening in Windows 10 just after the upgrade?

1st of all, there is no need to worry if you are planning to reinstall utorrent later.Take a backup of all the torrent files present in Appdata.Open Run by pressing Windows+R button and then type this %appdata%\uTorrent\ and press enter to get torrent files. Normally it will be present in the Roaming Folder in AppdataRemember the download location of the incomplete downloads.Uninstall uTorrent.Reinstall utorrent and set your download location as the folder which contains all the incomplete downloads. This can be done through the Preferences option in the File menu. Now, the final step is to open all the .torrent files through uTorrent. You will now observe that it first starts checking and resumes download.

GTA IV not working on Windows 8?

I just got GTA IV for windows 8 yesterday and I've had nothing but problems. First, I couldn't run the installation of GTA IV. But it would say in the install wizard "You're system is incompatible with %P."
So I searched it up and apparently I'm supposed to run it in compatibility mode, so I run it as Windows XP SP3. It installs and I attempt to load the game up. "Fatal Error: WS10" I search it up on google and apparently it's a problem with Games for Windows Live, I get it fixed after hours of troubleshooting, re-installing, restarting.... now when I try running GTA IV (compatibility mode windows XP SP3, and windows vista SP2) I get the error "SecuLauncher: Failed to start the application. (2000)" so I try many things on the internet, with C++ re-installation, .NET framework, etc but then I found something where SecuLauncher looks for GTA IV on C:\Program Files\Grand Theft Auto IV but I have mine installed on E:\Program Files (x86)\Grand Theft Auto IV so I uninstall Rockstar Games Social Club, and then go to uninstall GTA IV and it comes up again with the "Your system is incompatible" and I'm left with it and not being able to uninstall, I think this is absolutely stupid.

My system specs:
Windows 8 64-bit edition
Intel i5 3570k 3.4ghz quad-core
EVGA GeForce GTX 670 1084mhz 6.0ghz 2gb
Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H motherboard

Computer is brand-new, out of the box so I don't see how it could be a hardware problem.

I have a 120gb SSD as drive C and a 2TB HDD as drive E
