What is the worst country to live in?

For myself, the "worst country" would have to be Nigeria. To put this in context, I visited a long time ago, 1975, so I am sure things are different today. But again, what I have heard from many more recent visitors is it was better back then. For another kind of context, before I arrived in Nigeria I had been in Egypt for several weeks and after Nigeria and moved onto Ghana for several weeks, and I totally loved Egypt and Ghana.Nigeria combined a scary manic energy, absurd levels of corruption, very low levels of sanitation and health, with violence just under the radar. Add in depressing. I remember a long day of difficult travel by truck, managing perhaps 20km an hour on single-track muddy roads. We were stuck at another deep mud hole and I stepped away from the road into the rain forest. 20 meters in, I found an ornate neo-classical cast iron street lamp, shrouded in vines. At some point before my passing on a single lane muddy path, this had been a paved multi-lane highway with street lamps along it. Sad.

Is Ireland a good country to migrate to?

Well, if a country is beautiful, prosperous and stable, it is generally a good bet to make a life there. If the people are in general welcoming and friendly to newcomers, and the culture is both rich in tradition and outward looking for influences, you are on a roll. Food produce is excellent, especially dairy, meat, fish and root vegetables. Now, some downsides. If you are an EU citizen, the barriers to working here are low. If you are not, the same red tape will apply as with most countries. Employment is high, but the well-paid jobs are in IT and other high-tech sectors. Income tax is high, rental in Dublin and other job hubs is sky high. For the shopper, Ireland is the most expensive country in Europe outside Scandinavia. You will of course need a high toleration for poor weather: Ireland is a green island for a good reason. We don’t get the climate extremes of other countries - no tornados, droughts or blizzards - but long wet winters and sometimes patchy - and even outright wet and miserable - summers. The plus side to this: on a perfect day Ireland is one of the most beautiful places on Earth, and the air is clean, rain-washed and straight in off the Atlantic.

Five Best And Worst Things About Ireland?

Best:
- It is my home, and where all of my family and friends are.
- The beautiful countryside
- The history, including arts, literature and language
- The friendliness, I can go anywhere in this country and feel like I belong there.
- The fact that we don't have an abundance of guns, and to wish otherwise would be ridiculous.

Worst:
- Better weather would be good
- Recession, redundancies, lack of jobs...
- Northern Ireland's bad rep due to idiots
- The road network is disappointing
- El Governmento

Is Ireland one of the poorest countries of Western Europe?

Definitely not; I would say the opposite is the case. As already stated before, Ireland has a very high GDP per capita, which makes it into a very attractive destination for most people who want to earn money. The quality of life in Ireland though is a very tricky one as there are a few factors that get in the way of leading a very comfortable life:Ireland and Dublin in particular, is very expensive. The prices of rental and some major services are very high, which means you’ll be paying a lot for accommodation. Also having children in Ireland is not cheap as the kindergarten and education here are very dear.Public transport and health care are poor in Ireland. Unless you have a car, you will often struggle getting to and from work if you live in the suburbs of Dublin and work in the town center. Public health care is one of the worst in Europe and private one is much better but also very pricey.Ireland is very poor in recreational infrastructure, which will often leave you clueless on how to spend free time. Cycling infrastructure is almost non existent, facilities for children in parks or even benches are rarely to be found. Also the number of friendly, hang-out spaces is poor in certain neighborhoods. Things like water/amusement parks are also not developed. The housing situation is really bad in major cities (Dublin in particular) at the moment and even having a good job and reasonable bank account will not necessarily land you a decent apartment for rent, as the waiting list has been getting increasingly bigger for the last 3 years and new constructions are dragging. Quality of some houses is also a pain, aspecially in winter; ventilation and insulation can get to a serious problem. All in all, Ireland is a great place for young folks without children who plan on to save some money and do not mind cutting down on living standard for a while. There is some serious money in Ireland and the level of foreign investment is impressive. However, Ireland also suffers from the lack of sufficient domestic investments, which makes it very dependent on international swings.

Which country is best to immigrate to: Canada or Ireland?

Having lived in both Ireland and Canada, I can point out some differences between those countries.RecreationIn Ireland, the culture revolves around attending concerts, watching sports and going to pubs. Of course there are many other activities but those ones are the most popular. In Canada, lots of different cultures, activities and viewpoints are acceptable. Contrary to popular belief, its not all about hockey and building igloos.Business / work cultureIn Ireland, you will be more valued if you are a manager, a civil servant, accountant, finance professional, a lawyer or a doctor. A lot of other occupations are either underpaid or undervalued. In Canada, having outstanding skills in a professional or trade occupation is a better indicator of success than your place in a corporate hierarchy.Attitude to immigrationBoth countries have positive attitude to immigration. However, in Ireland, it can be difficult to get into some professional jobs ( especially in public sector ) if you have not been born there.Conversational styleIn Ireland, having a strong viewpoint is encouraged and it will get you far. Swearing is perfectly acceptable. In Canada, you have to be polite and respectful. People get uncomfortable if you use swear words to describe your viewpoint, even if you are not directing any of your frustration or passion at them.HOWEVER, in a small corner of Canada in Newfoundland and Nova Scotia, Irish conversational style is the norm, because the majority of the population there is of British and Irish descent.WeatherIreland is humid but mild.If you can’t tolerate snow and ice, you will have to get used to it in Canada.Overall, you are better off in a country where you will fit in more easily. If you will fit in, you will find it easier to live and you will achieve more success.

Why is china scum and the worst country in the world?

Because it only accounts for 1/6 of the world's population, it's food is really good, it's really fun and interesting to visit cultural and historical places (the great wall of china, the terracotta soldiers, operas, the great wall of xi'an, etc. etc.), the culture and history are actually very interesting (even if you don't agree with everything that happened. it's still interesting), my best friend is from Beijing, etc. Just because the government is probably corrupt and it's not perfect doesn't mean it's the worst country in the world. There is no country that doesn't have it's imperfections, and lots of countries have corrupt governments (which is actually pretty sad).
