Do girls feel insecure with good looking men?
My last girlfriend always talked about how I could have anyone I wanted and she didnt understand why I chose her, she would always go off about how she thinks I'm looking at other girls because she's not pretty enough for me, she basically never trusted me. Though I NEVER did anything, and i've never cheated in my life. Now since we broke up, ive noticed in the past 2 years she's been with very nerdy to average looking guys and im wondering if its a security issue for girls like her?
Why are women insecure about their looks?
When I was young, boys would call me fat, ugly, etc. it can really put someone down. After awhile it makes you believe your ugly, because someone would tell me every week. After awhile though I started to believe that was wrong. I still struggle with it, though. Seeing the skinny girls that are tan and have perfect hair, etc. They always seem to be the ones that get the guy, get the money, have popularity, all that stuff. It sometimes makes me believe that it is the only way for me to get a guy or even have friends. You will just look in the magazine and say, "why don't I look like that?" Because you see soooo many girls that look perfect, it makes you feel like your an ugly person that should just crawl in a hole, and no one would notice. It makes you feel so insecure, even if you wear a bikini, that so many people are staring that you don't have a perfect, flat stomach or they notice you have cellulite, or that you need makeup to even look relativity good. It is the most hard in the summer, when I see girls like that. I don't blame that girl for being insecure, because that is how so many of us are feeling, after awhile, you feel like you just can't help it. You feel like you don't belong with all of the pretty girls, and that you don't deserve anything for just being yourself. You know all of the pretty people are celebrities and you think, well, there goes that. I could never be a model or an actress, because they only sell beautiful people. Okay, so that is how I feel, hope I helped.
Why are pretty girls insecure about their looks?
is it because that they know they are pretty, and then they feel the need to compete with other girls with their beauty, and when they find someone who they believe is prettier (ex: models, actresses, etc) they feel insecure? like would below average girls really care? since they've never had good looks before, would they WANT to have something they've never experienced? tell me if i'm wrong...but is this what happens SOMETIMES?

Yes Wouldn't everyone be wary of what other people judge him/her? Society has a great affect on our brains. We often need people to tell us that we look good. Wouldn't you? But there are also times when we don't care about how we look so we do whatever. And there are times we can wear sweats and look amazingly hot.
