Question #1: What do we need to do to stay healthy and fit?

Without a doubt the most important aspect in healthy living involves what you eat. Eating is how we get the nutrients and micro-nutrients needed for the body to continue producing healthy cells. While the body can adapt to a nutrient deficient diet, the rate and chance for disease increases on such a diet.

Two other important aspects of staying physically healthy are getting enough sleep and consistent exercise. When we sleep our body repairs and produces anti-aging hormones. Getting enough sleep reduces mental and emotional stress. A fitness program is essential for keeping the muscles strong, the joints lubricated, and metabolism high and efficient. In addition, many people find mental health inextricably linked to a good fitness program.

Question #2: Is it important to live a healthy life?

It depends on how we want to live. The average person is not going to focus on health and performance like an elite althete. But everyone ages and is afflicted with all the things that come with that. A healthy lifestyle can allow us to enjoy the things we like to do longer and reduce the number of problems encountered in old age. While we live in an age where medical technology can keep a person alive for a long time the quality of living can depend on how well you live and have lived.

Why is it important to exercise and eat healthy?

They are both very important, but I'd say exercise is more important than healthy eating. For most of my life (up until a few months ago actually) I always just used to eat junk. My mom and I would have McDonalds at least a few times a week, an after school snack would be chips, I'd never really touch vegetables. The only things I ever really had that were healthy were my school lunches. They would usually be a sub with meat and cheese. It was disgusting. Now that I'm a vegetarian it's forced both of us to eat healthier. Also, I've never had a vitamin deficiency. Anyways, I've been physically fit my entire life. Very strong compared to my friends, a healthy weight. Whenever we'd have mandatory cardio testing I'd score as one of the best females in my class. I never played sports, but I got lots of exercise playing outside and stuff. Now that I eat healthy, I'm even more fit. So just from personal experience I'd say exercise, but they're both very important.

Why is important? Let me ask you something:How would you to feel to wake-up with lots of energy every day? How would you feel to grow older and still do the activities you love to do? How would you feel to look at yourself in the mirror and be happy about your body? How would you feel to live happily without worrying about medical bills in the future?If the answer to those questions, is something positive like “great”- then that’s why it’s important! :)Unfortunately we live in a society where so many people today don’t do too well to take care of their health. More than one-third of Americans are obese just to give you an example, costing the US over $147 billion/year in medical expenses.Your body is our own temple! Love it and take good care of it! Why is it important to eat a healthy breakfast?

Breakfast is the difference between a crappy day, and an energy-filled, upbeat, productive day. Breakfast is the first meal of the day, it's the start of your day. When you sleep you are fasting for around 7-8 hours, sooo breakfast is important to re-fuel your body after not eating for such a long period of time.

When you skip breakfast you are more likely to snack more, or even binge on whatever you see when you come home from work/school because you are so hungry. But if you do eat breakfast and it's not a healthy one you will not be able to concentrate, you'll feel weak, tired, maybe even bloated depending on what you eat.
