Why is it important to know about our past history?
The study of history is important because it can tell us how we evolved. It can tell us what decisons worked in particular situations in the past and what didn't. This can be useful when taking decisions today in similar situations. We can also take inspirations from certain events to motivate us. For example, The Battle of Thermopylae, The Battle of Longewala, The Battle of Saragarhi. These events tell us how a few stood against many. They can serve as inspirations for people who find themselves outnumbered by their opponents (be it anywhere). Also studying why Empires collapsed may give us insights into how to efficiently run our countries. If the Germans had taken lessons from history, then during World War 2, they wouldn't have fought in Russia during the winter, like Napoleon did.Thus, the main reason behind why we should study History is to ensure that we don't repeat the same mistakes as our forefathers when History repeats itself.

Lawyers for Slick Willy Clinton penned a letter to ABC on Friday demanding that the network correct what they consider "fiction" regarding 'The Path to 9/11' docudrama or decide not to broadcast it. They can sit silent during such fictional and misleading garbage as "Fahrenheit 9/11" but when someone -- especially their beloved Hollywood -- dares to take another tack, and one based on FACT, they resort to what they do best: WHINING! Some people trash Bush as though they could do a better job as president (laughable), but God forbid any of the loony left ever get back in that office. Bill Clinton is more responsible for 9/11 than anyone alive save bin Laden himself. The Republicans may not be doing everything right (illegal immigration and worrying about what the world thinks instead of dropping an iron hammer on Iraq, for example), but at least they are DOING something. Does anyone seriously doubt we would have been attacked again after 9/11with Democrats in charge?
Who's more optimistic about human nature, conservatives or liberals? Can you explain why?
Five-O: I believe that unrestrained and without education, mankind would degrade into a state of chaos, not anarchy. "Anarchists are those who believe that all people are imbued with a sort of commonality, common sense, that would allow for people to, in the absence of the government, come together in agreement to form a functional existence. Morality falls in line with functionality, and its forms differ. Anarchy does not reject ethics, or principles, but rather imposed morality." That definition is very idealistic, even by my standards. But the key is education. The more we educate people, the better off we will all be. In short, I believe with better education there is less need for laws. Without enlightening people, there will always be a need for laws.
Why do neocons hate poor people so much?
Many of the bashers are actually very close to being poor themselves and they are expressing their fear and insecurity by trying to reassure themselves that they are better off than someone else through bashing. It's also part of the current neocon propaganda to bash poor people.
