Why Is It That Lately I See A Lot Of Women Crossing Their Legs When They Pose For A Full-body

Why do women cross their legs while standing and waiting.???

My female cousins and nieces were taught to cross legs so PERVERTS wouldn't get the idea they were offering their private parts.
Pervs don't need much encouragement so ladies need to err on the side of caution.

Think I'm kidding?

Coax a female friend to sit with legs spread and watch the reactions of men nearby. You'll see what I'm talking about.

Why do women cross their legs?

i do it myself, feels a lot conforable.

Let me say i really don't care what people think about sitting with me legs crossed, it just way more comfortable to put my leg on top of the other one. It just feels relaxing like one leg doesn't have to work. I think its just a lazy pose. Its about as good as being lazy opposed to being asleep. Plus it turns me a certain way so if somebody walks behind me i can see them and still be facing foward at work.

Its a lot easier to talk to be facing diagnal instead of straight ahead.

Why the crossed legs with high heels?

It's only attractive if the foot of the top leg is hooked back around the ankle of the bottom leg. This makes one line of the legs, and shows them to advantage. Crossing the leg and flexing the top foot looks awkward and ungainly but it allows the woman to stretch out the achilles tendon and calf muscle that have been contracted while she stands in heels. In other words, her legs might ache or cramp from having her toes pointed down for so long. She gets some relief when she can lift one foot from the floor, pull the toes toward her, maybe circle her ankle.

Why is it disrespectful to cross your legs during a Catholic mass?

Too casual and/or sexy for church and other settings.

"When sitting, a woman tends to cross her legs. But should we? According to Maura Graber, who has been teaching manners to children and adults for 15 years and is the director of The R.S.V.P. Institute of Etiquette, says, 'When sitting, a woman should cross her legs at the ankles. For one thing, by crossing one's legs at the knees, one is cutting off circulation and can end up with spider veins. It is not considered lady-like to cross one's legs at the knees, especially if one is wearing a short skirt.'"

"Crossing the legs is a means of comfort for many people, and often essential for women when wearing a skirt. It can, however, have hidden, unspoken intentions and be viewed as flirtatious or flaunting (especially if a lot of leg is exposed)."

"In some Orthodox cultures, crossing one's legs is taboo and considered to be very disrespectful. In our North American there are no real taboos concerning crossing one's legs, and we tend to do so to get comfortable when sitting. Should we cross our legs in the temple during services? No. Not because it is wrong to ever cross your legs, but because it is too casual, and too relaxed, for being in the temple. Just think about it, when you get settled into your favorite chair at home, you lean back, cross your legs, and then your mind can wander anywhere it wants to."
