Why Is It That Women Always Promote Themselves In Society

Women - why do you think fat women deserve more sympathy than fat men? Despite...?

I starred this questions, but I wish I could give it 10 stars.

Feminists are always promoting the idea that obese women are victims, whereas obese men (and skinny men) are ignored and treated as though they are privileged, like they perceive all men to be.

Take a look at this campaign called "All bodies are good bodies" :

https://www.facebook.com/pages/All-Bodies-Are-Good-Bodies/253136394756660

You can clearly see the bias against men. Their are skinny women, fat women, normal women, black women, even women with tattoos (her tattooed body is ugly, and I have EVERY RIGHT to think that). But there are no men at all.

Skinny men and fat men just have to suck it up.

The ironic thing is that these very same women are critical of men and their bodies, and will not like a mans body if he is too skinny or too fat. On the other hand, a man can still like a womans body even if she is skinny or chubby, so women are clearly more choosy than men...yet they are the ones portraying themselves as victims.

It is sickening.

They will justify this by saying that women are expected to be a certain way due to the way they are portrayed in the media, but they ignore the fact that the same is the case with men:

Does this video promote stereotypes on women?

I think it is true but nobody talks about it because it has blend in our society so well.I mean we never seen a women works as a construction worker ever. When I think about Janet Jackson at the superbowl, I will get so frustrated and angry.I still can't believe that most people in this day and age would consider a women's nipple as an obscene thing. If that was JT's pierced nipple it would be nothing at all but because it was Janet and she is a women, they butchered her.I personally think that woman should do whatever they want to do and we cannot judge them.Even if they want to get shirtless,so what! What makes most man so ancious about them being shirtless is because they can't control themselves but that's not a woman's problem.Man should let woman do whatever we are aloud to do.One of the saddest things about American woman is that they always want to pleasure man and always worry about what man think of them. You can see on tv how American man always making fun of French woman because they don't shave their armpits.Nobody's ever talked like that about man ever. Most of the times American man they are the most sexist man on the planet and American woman are a natural born female chiuvanist pig.

Why am I so bitter about society every single day now?

Capitalism makes me sick in the stomach. I just can't live like this anymore. I absolutely hate everything about modern society with all my heart, I cannot mold myself into whom society wants me to be. I don't want a job anymore, I don't want money, I don't want to live like this anymore. I'm not interested in my job, I'm not interested in finding a job enjoy because I don't value money. People go about their daily activities consumed and driven by pure greed and arrogance, striving for the latest and the best in a sick and twisted materialistic society. I can't do it anymore. Slogging to work every morning, forced to accept a lifestyle that I despise. Living alongside mindless robots, none of which are intelligent enough to question this 'reality', programmed from birth to only want more and more. I look at people and it deeply depresses me, mainstream media and this whole 'social networking' **** just enfuriates me. My employer is not impressed with the amount of sick days I've taken recently. Days where I am literally that depressed and fed up with this **** society that I physically cannot get out of bed. I actually don't give a **** about anything anymore. I have no plan, no ambition, all I want to do is sedate myself with psychedelics or some other form of drug. I cannot live in reality for much longer. People tell me 'there are so many people who are far worse off', what they don't realise is their contribution to the system that they can't survive without is the very reason millions of people are currently dying of disease and starvation. Capitalism is a virus that has the entire wold infected. I can't put into words the strain it is causing me at the moment. I wish I was dead.

A women's body image, How society's views women's bodybuilding and strengh?

I view weight bearing exercises and strength training as an essential part of fitness for both men and women. However, women with the man-muscle look are typically doing unhealthy things, such as reducing body fat to an unhealthy low level or taking steroids. Male bodybuilders and athletes may also fall into that trap. Steroid use and loss of essential fat are unhealthy for both men and women.

I do strength train with weight-bearing exercises often, in addition to doing cardio and flexibility exercises. I can bench press 115 lbs, squat 210, leg press 270, do 30 push ups in a row, and 3 pull ups.

Outside the gym, I frequently carry a full 5 gallon water jug, which is about 42 pounds. I'm going to college in a town an hour away from where my boyfriend lives, so I go to his house for the weekend. To do that, I have to carry a 25-30 pound suitcase up and down stairs, along with a 10-15 pound travel bag with laptop and toiletries in it. The heaviest I have ever carried was a 66lb suitase full of books when I was moving from my dorm from spring term to my summer term housing.

I would not consider myself buff. I've always thought of buff as a figure like this*. This is what my figure looks like (I'm in the middle)**. But I do feel more strong and capable physically due to working out. Fitness is defined as the physical ability to meet the ordinary and extraordinary challenges of daily life, and I do feel more ready to meet those challenges than I did before I started going to the gym.

Why many women sit with their legs crossed?

Funny. I am actually sitting like that right now.
Guess when you grow up, and wear skirts and dresses as a little girl you are taught to cross your legs of course to not let things show. And it becomes habit. It is comfortable to do now. But you also do it in more formal settings to be proper, more feminine. Like Jay Leno the women are really on show and promoting themselves so they would cross their legs.
However, now that I'm finishing typing this I'm sitting like a guy. But I'm alone in a casual setting. Make sense?

Evolution isn't always progressive?

Gee! I wish I were intelligent enough to understand what you're talking about. I suppose it's because I'm not very bright that your question doesn't seem so much a question but rather the use of Yahoo Answers as a public forum upon which you are taking the opportunity to propagate your misogynistic, prejudiced, myopic, antiquated and erroneous opinion concerning women. I read the question because some people have given me degrees that purport to prove I'm a scientist, and I thought this question had something to do with evolution.

Were Indian women generally always submissive to men throughout known history?

If you go back 10000 years in history, women were equally dominant as men. This was due to the fact that women were equal partners in bringing food for the home and hence enjoyed equal powers as men. However, with advent of Agriculture, the concept of Men owning piece of "my land", slavery and "my women" came into existence. To bring up the children, women started staying at home more than going out and the men started bringing food for the home and all this lead to women losing the dominant position in the society. However, with industrialization, things did change, women started going back into the job market and started reclaiming the position of a bread earner and the whole feminism movement started. This is a long struggle where women will continue to go into the job market and continue to gain rights for themselves in the male dominated society and such phenomenon are hard to see on a day to day basis. However, when you look at the women entering job market over a period of few hundred years, this will become more evident.Sooner or later with industrialization and technology becoming the mainstream enabling men and women alike to earn food for themselves and their families, reliance of women on men will continue to go down. Some of the developed countries are already seeing this trend where women are self sufficient and that has lead to declining number of new births for example in Japan. Where the total population of the country is set to decline in the coming 20 years and women are dominant.Indian women are seeing this phenomenon at a slower pace as the education for girl child has shown slower adoption and hence the dependence of women on men to earn the bread has largely stayed constant. However, the good news is that things are changing and they are changing with increased education for women. The more the women are educated, the more they will be able to earn and be self reliant and more controlling in a one-on-one relationship.Short message: Educate the Girl child.

Why does the media only promote white people as beautiful?

Whenever I see commercials or movies, it is always a white person playing the lead role. The media always promotes "blonde hair blue eyes" as beautiful. They never promote minorities as beautiful!
