Why Is My 5month Baby Sleeping All The Time

5 month old STILL not sleeping?

My son is 5 months old. He STILL wakes up every 2-3 hours. Since he was born, we've only had 5 - 6 nights where he's slept well (from 8:00 to 4:30 am). We have a well established bed time routine. I feed him rice cereal @ around 6:30, bath at 7:00, book @ about 7:30, then I nurse him and have him to bed by 8:00. He's usually not asleep when I put him in his crib--and has no problem falling asleep on his own (at the 8:00 bedtime). But, then he almost always wakes up between 10:00-11:00, and then repeatedly every few hours throughout the night. Last night, I was up 5 times with him! I've tried the cry it out--he did cry himself back to sleep (we did it for 7 nights)...I'd come to his crib every 10 minutes or so and reassure him. But, he just KEPT up with his same schedule. I finally gave in, figuring it was quicker just to pick him up, rock him (and/or nurse him) back to sleep than to let him cry for a half hour or more each time he woke up. I'm sooo tired and soooo frustrated

Baby 5 month kicking one leg all the time?

My baby girl kicking her left leg a lot, almost all the time, especially when eating. Is this normal? It's only left leg. She sleeps fine during the night and naps. Could she have some neurological problem or is this normal?

My 3 month old baby is sleeping 4 to 5 hours at a stretch. Is it okay to leave him or should I wake him to feed him?

Babies survived and thrived long before clocks were invented. They know what they need and when they need it. They also have a well-established method of alerting you to their more pressing needs. Allow him to sleep when he's tired. My grandmother always said sleep was when babies did their growing. Feed him when he is hungry; change him when he is wet. Love him all the time. The first few months are pretty straight forward. But it's  going to get complicated!

How safe is it for a 5-month-old baby to sleep on his stomach?

as you can see it is a concern these days. who am I to argue, I had one son and he slept however he wanted b. 1980… If it is a concern of yours, this is the latest trend and it targets SIDS concerns specifically. Hammocks for your babies crib apparently make it harder for babies to turn from anything but their back eliminating a suspected major cause, and some allege it mimics the womb. Kind of hard to argue with babies in the womb. Plus, if the hammock does not raise any other risks, what is the downside to it, aside from shelling out a few bucks for your babies safety. Might want to get two (2 minimum) tho for when the babies diaper has a blow-out in the middle of the night, so to speakCrib that mimics womb could reduce risk of SIDSI used “suspected” because we do not know that much about SIDS.Kind of like how it used to be a doctor could not determine what was wrong with you when you felt sick, you were diagnosed with a “Virus of unknown origin” I have been diagnosed with that more than once in my life

My baby (5 month) smiles all the time is this indicate that he will be a friendly person when he will grow up?

I think people's personalities change quite a bit from when they were babies.  A lot depends on their choice of activities as children and their environment.  I had a smiley, friendly baby who got really into video games when he was a third-grader, and now has quite a different personality.  Sometimes I look at him and wonder where the sweet little kid went...but I suppose most parents have that thought from time to time!  Just enjoy your baby's sunny disposition while it lasts and take lots of pictures of that adorable baby smile!

Why won't my 5-week-old baby sleep?

I agree with Mimi. Make sure you’re working with your pediatrician. If the doctor doesn’t find anything wrong, that’s great. But it’s also kind of bad, because it means you may be dealing with the dreaded “Colic.”Colic is basically what we call it when a baby is fussy and we’re not sure why. We have been super blessed that our first two babies weren’t very fussy. And number 3 isn’t here yet, so we don’t know.My heart goes out to you though, because it’s so hard being exhausted and worried about your baby all the time. It’s tough. Even though our babies were good sleepers, that didn’t start until 6–8 weeks, so it’s still a bit early to expect the baby to sleep well. And honestly - you need to mentally prepare yourself for the possibility that your baby won’t sleep very well for much longer. I know people whose babies didn’t sleep at all for the first year. I hope this isn’t going to happen to you, but it could. So just keep up with the well baby checkups and hang in there. Hopefully you have some friends or family that can help here and there.

What is the best way to make a 5 month old baby have a good sleep at night?

It is normal. Your baby is probably hungry. If that's not it, she probably wants to play:) You can try to change her nap routine so it won't keep her up during night. Start a night time routine that she can get used to that. Until my daughter was 1 year old, no matter how much we tried to change her routine she always stayed up late. At the end of 5th month she started sleeping for 8 hours with one night time feeding in the middle. We co-slept since it was convenient for us because i did not want to get up from bed for the night time feeding. She would just nurse by my side. To  make her comfortable and not to wake her up for diaper changes, we switched her from pampers swaddlers to night time diapers. A good night time bath also helps.

5 Month old baby wants to sleep on her stomach?

If you lay her down and she rolls over to her stomach on her own then she should be fine sleeping that way...our daughter who is now 15 months old sleeps with her cheek to the mattress and butt in the air lol

it is adorable! I laugh every time I see it and she wakes up with her lil cheeks red from putting all her weight on them

Why does my 5 month old baby snore?

My 5 month old baby girl snores in her sleep i first noticed it when i holding her napping during the day a few days ago. Sometimes it sounds like a older kid is snoring and other times it sounds like shes got mucous in her throat. She does not have a cold or anything. But since she was born shes always had a hard time breathing and a stuffy nose. Is that normal?
She used to sleep through the night also, but when she turned 3 months old she stopped. Could that because shes snoring in the night and i have never realized it?
She also acts like shes hungry every 2-3 hours and i just cant keep up with it anymore.
My brother had to have his adenoids removed when he turned 3 could that be a possibility?
