Why Is My Body Shaking When I Wake Up

Why do i wake up shaking?

There are several possibilities, and you need to get checked out by a doctor to make sure that you know what is causing this. Off hand, I think that it might be caused by a nerve condition or by high sugar levels (diabetes).

Both high and low sugar levels could cause trembling (their symptoms are almost identical). But, lying down takes less energy than sitting or standing, so it is more likely that you are burning less energy while in bed. That means that your sugar levels "might" rise and cause shaking.

Beds also "sometimes" cause problems with spinal alignment, leading, perhaps, to a pinched nerve. Nerves can cause this shaking sensation, too.

Shaking might also be caused by stimulants (even coffee).

Shaking might also be caused an allergic reaction. You might consider getting tested for a variety of allergies.

It is also possible that this is a form of epilepsy.

You might be shaking because you are cold.

Dehydration might cause shaking, too. That might affect the electrolytes.

You might also be nervous.

Why do I wake up shaking?

I’m not a doctor of any kind but this doesn’t sound normal to me. I have witnessed others twitching while falling asleep but not shaking upon waking. Perhaps a visit to the doctor is in order asap to have your nervous system checked or whatever the doctor recommends. Good luck and keep us posted!#1 Celebrity Numerologist Michelle Arbeau

Body shaking?

Sleep paralisis -Idk how its spelt but that's where you can feel things in your sleep asleep but its like your awake, and you have no control over it, my mum had a lot when we was at my old house & she couldn't do anything she just had to lay there & wait til its over. Try googling that see if its anything like what's happening to u otherwise it could be a mini seizure so Google that. If you've had a bad dream then maybe its something to do with that or if ghosts actually exists then maybe there's one that lives in your house that does it to u, maybe an old family member or just someone that u never new, I'm not sure otherwise go to see a GP and speak to them about it. Good luck x

Why do I tremble when I wake up?

It is anxiety but its not self inflicted... Its caused by the lack of serotonin in the brain. A lot of women get it in menopause if you search the forums here you will find many posts about tremors . The fact is when your hormones go out of whack so does you brain chemistry and pretty much every system in the body. The nervous system seems to be very strongly effected, leaving us shaky and anxious, prone to general/health anxiety and panic attacks. Your not causing it , its the body adjusting to not having the levels of hormones it needs. Yes we can make it worse, but to be honest is pretty impossible not to when your body/brain is already so sensitized .I started with it about a year ago, as soon as i start to come round my body would start to tremble then my heart would start racing then i would need to run to the looever morning .. plus the constant trembling and anxiety through the day which changes with menstrual cycle. A year on it has calmed down somewhat , no longer wake to the shaking etc every day just get it with hormone splurges. Still get the anxiety etc though but again its not as bad. I take ametriptyline and that does help with the shaking, and propranolol which helps with anxiety and palps etc. but other than going on HRT of some kind there aren't many choices to treat it sadly.

What is the meaning of this dream. Body shaking?

In the dream I felt a pulsing in my stomach-kind of like when you have a muscle twitch. On spot in my stomach was pulsing. Then it started to pulse faster. Then it got so fast that my entire body was shaking. Then I woke up and had a hard time getting back to sleep because this dream scared me.
