Why Is My Grand Theft Auto 5 Installing So Slow

Why are my games on PS4 taking so long to install?

UPDATED Answer (2016–Dec-01): I just picked up Grand Theft Auto V and had this very same problem. I purchased the game, downloaded the large install file, and started it. But, then it told me it was still installing… for almost two days! During that time I checked the internet traffic on the router and found that it was continuing to download game data way beyond the original install file. I estimate another 50GB in my case. This tells me that the original install or game disc is incomplete and it needed a large amount of data from the game publisher. This is probably what happened in the specific case of the person who asked this question.Original (but generally still valid) Answer:So, it's weird that you have already downloaded the file and yet it's still installing. People forget that PS4 is just another computer though. Generally, when something like this happens the cause is one of two things:A bug has your PS4 caught in a loop. - This happens. Try powering off, all the way and wait a couple minutes. When you power up, all your problems will go away...Or not. Your hard drive could be really full and the PS4 is thrashing around trying to make space for it, which is really time consuming. If your hard drive is relatively full, try deleting a game that you don't play anymore. If that doesn't work...Call/email Ps4 support. Yeah... No one wants that, but it might lead you down the right path.

GTA finished downloading and is now installing. If I put my PS4 in rest mode, will it continue to install?

Yes, as long as you go into settings and make sure that it is allowed

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas question?

Your Config is low...u will need a dedicated graphic card if u want to play properly.....but still u can improve your game play or fps of the game if u can just change your video settings for the game.....U can decrease the resolution of the game to least setting and also decrease all the video settings for the game ...then the game will run properly but the game wouldn't look so appealing....Happy Gaming

Why does it take so much time to get GTA 5 installed on a PC?

One of the main reasons the game takes a while to instal is the size(65gb in size without the updates). There are additional updates to be installed before you can play the game ( 7 to 8 gb) bedsides the size factor the game graphics and world is very big and almost never ending. The pic version of this game comes on DVDs which are in itself very slow. The speed will also depend on your computer specs( mostly your hdd and its speed) but not much. Hope this helps

How long does it take for GTA V to install on PS3?

GTA IV "Installing data to hard disk drive" PS3 Problem. HELP?

I've tried 4 times now to try and download/install Grand Theft Auto 4 (IV) (GTA IV) to my PS3 and every time it freezes at about I would say 95% done. So I go and delete all the save game data that deals with GTA IV and then re-do the installation process but no luck. It just freezes but keeps the music and slideshow going. I don't know how to fix it, and it's a new PS3 slim that I got for my birthday about a month ago. It has 320 GB and the only games I've played on it are: CoD4, CoD5 WaW, CoD MW2, CoD Black Ops, Killzone 2, and the Killzone 3 beta. It's really piss*ng me off and I want to play because my friends are playing it and won't play CoD with me because they are on only on certain days. So, Please somebody give me an answer that is useful and will help me!!!! Thanks!!

How long will GTA V take to install on my PC?

There's some information you aren't including here that's kind of necessary to give you a solid answer, but I'll do my best.GTA V is a BIG download. I want to say in the neighborhood of 70 GB. In this regard, the horsepower of your machine is less important than the speed of your Internet. If you've got some rocket fast Google fiber or a very fast cable connection, you can count on having it downloaded inside of an hour and probably installed in about another 10-15 minutes. If your Internet is slower, then that download is going to take A LOT longer. A friend of mine from the Midwest has a very slow connection, and his GTA V download took over six hours. If, by some chance, you have a DVD/Blu-Ray copy (did Rockstar even make these for PC?), you're looking at the 10-15 minutes.Either way, the game is easily worth the wait. You're going to have a great time. :)

Is there any way to speed up GTA 5 installation (RG Mechanics repack)?

Try to get codex versions and usually those with a big size like GTA V itself is around 60 GB after installation so for big games try to find installation files of around 40–50 GB this way unpacking will be easier and faster. This method usually works for almost all the games.
