Why Is My High School Schedule

High school schedule change?

I am going to start high school in September. I was wondering if I would be able to change a few of my classes by the first day? I have major anxiety, and depression and have recently found out I am not in any the same classes as my friends. I know, I know please don't say I need to suck it up, and things like that. My questions are?
1. When do the administrators come back to school?
2. What would be a good answer, when they ask why I need to change my schedule? (My therapist, and new high school counsellor will assist me)
Thank you so much.

What was your study schedule like in high school?

This varies a lot depending on workload and responsibilities(track, softball, clubs, etc.) so I’ll only focus on typical days.5–6:30 Get the heck out of my bed and go for a brisk jog.6:45–7:30 Do random things like brushing my teeth and picking out an outfit to wear.7:50-ish: Arrive at school.8–9: Drawing class! It’s a flipped classroom so we learn concepts on our own and ask the teacher if we need any extra guidance. I don’t get much homework, if any, from this class.9–10: Math. It’s boring but the teacher is cool and we only get 8–20 problems a night. I’m absolutely enthralled by this super easy math class.10–11: Anatomy/physiology. It’s a pseudo AP class in terms of rigor(the conceptual portion of the class is fairly complex and rigorous) but since it’s not an actual AP class there’s not as much pressure to cram in too much information at too fast of a pace.11–12: Honors English. Oh boy I got my freshman teacher again. She’s amazing but her standards are notoriously high. I barely scraped by with an A in 9th grade so I’m setting my sights at an A- to be realistic. I don’t get too much homework for this class with the exception of essays, studying for tests, and assigned reading.12–12:30 Lunch12:40–1:10-AP Biology. This is by far my hardest class this year; it’s only been a week and a half and I’m already getting 2–3 hours of homework a night. Class time is mostly labs and FRQ practice so time flies by really quickly.1:10–3: AP US History. Shockingly one of my easier classes. The layout of the classroom eases my nerves for some reason, so it’s a nice way to wash out the stress I’ve accumulated from 5th period.4: Get home and start on homework.8–10: I’m finally done!10–12: Do random things until I call it a night. The moral of the story is to not start homework at 10 PM and whine about getting <5 hours of sleep every night.Since sports take up about 3 hours of my life after school, I spend lunch time and any free time in class on homework. It’s fine though because I’m one of those people who feel clearer and more efficient after a tough exercise regime so my superior performance rectifies the 3 hour deficit.Weekends: work, sleep, and video games. Heck yeah.

I hate my high school schedule!?

so we got our schedules today and i absolutely hate mine! I'm supposed to be in algebra 2/trig and they put me in just trig! trig is basically geometry which i did not do well in last year:( i did really well in algebra freshmen year, and enjoyed it but now i don't get to take it like originally intended. my school is really strict about switching schedules and to get into algebra 2 i need my geometry teacher approval. I've had some of my other friends try to get her approval and she basically never gives it, because well, she's a *****. if anyone has been in this situation and has any tips for m to try and convince my guidance counselor, that would be great:)

ps: i already emailed her with no response.

What does this mean on my highschool schedule?

It looks like to me your school has an alternating block schedule, of four periods per day, alternating A days with B days. It also looks like you need to get with your school counselor to schedule your B days. It's possible, though, that A is the first semester and B is the second semester. Either way, you apparently only have four classes per day.

I don't think algebra would be algebra 2 if you barely passed prealg last year. Must mean something else -- "section 2" possibly? Like there are two sections of Algebra 1 being taught at the same time in different rooms, and some other teacher is teaching section 1 and you're in section 2? That seems reasonable, and if that's so, then you must be in section 1 of World Regions and Language Arts, and section 3 of whatever that other thing is. It's the only thing that makes sense to me.

Looks like you'd better get your B stuff scheduled, though.

I can't read my High School Schedule!?HELP?

I am going to a freshman in high school which school starts in 2 days. I am afraid of getting lost even though everyone gets lost on the first day of high school. I go to Foster High School in Texas and I'm not sure what it says

PRDS

QTR DAYS

CRS-SEC
S113-1
TITLE
English I PAP

I am only showing my first period for safety and stuff most of the other classes look the same but with different numbers and on the school website the school map has none of these numbers and letters. So can you help??

When will i get my school schedule?!?

It will either come eventually, or you may get it on the first day of school. If you want to make sure that you aren't the only one that didn't get one you could call the school or just talk to someone in the office on the first day of school and they should help you out and make sure you're ready to go.

When will i get my high school schedule? and how do you spell schedule?

Your spelling is correct.
It depends on your school.
Some places get it the first day.
My school, like yours, sends them out in the summer.
Freshmen at my school get it at orientation.
Sophomores, juniors, and seniors at my school get it in the mail the day before school starts.
Other schools send them a week or two before.

What is your high school schedule? What classes are you taking this year?

I am a 10th grader in high school a sophomore. And I go to a public school in a small town in Texas United States. My scheduleArt II PAP: This class is the bane of my existence. It has changed my passion, which was art, to another chore. It has made art not enjoyable for me. I really regret taking this class. And the teacher is so passive aggressive I love her but why can’t she just say what she doesn’t likeEnglish II: This is a core class so it is necessary. I don’t mind it really it’s a easy class and the teacher is pretty cool.Theatre II: I LOVE THIS CLASS!! I have all my friends in this class and I love the teacher! Theatre is really something I love.—LUNCH—Spanish II: I hate the teacher and the students. The teacher doesn’t teach us anything and the kids in my class…UGGGHHH. Lets just say I’m not a fanChemistry: This class is so difficult. And the teacher really doesn’t help us she just expects us to know it all and we don’t.U.S. History: The teacher in this class is really cool and I have one of my best friends in this class so this class is pretty great.Geometry: Jeez…lets not get into the details of this class. Its not my best by far. I’m not good at math okay. The teacher is pretty good she is a little bit sarcastic but I have another one of my besties in the class and her and my friend Aldo make this class so much better.Usually after school I have Musical or show rehearsal. My Theatre 2 class. But that is my schedule…

Can you change your schedule on the first day of high school?

Every one of these answers are correct. It does depend on your school policy - make sure to ask your counselors or whoever is in charge of that process.I will also discuss about my own school policy (if anyone is interested in that) below. They recently changed my school policy, due to the previous year receiving over 1,000 schedule changes. We first pick out and sign up for classes in Feburary. Then, you will confirm it with the counselor in April (school ended in late May this year for us). They ensure that your are taking the correct classes, you are taking enough credits, and more. Usually, they don’t question it and confirm it. They were supposed to give us a “mock” schedule, but I think they weren’t able to create it in time, since this policy is so new. They tell us that we are unable to place a course change request our schedule on the first day of school unless it’s for these reasons:To meet a graduation requirement. To change a regular class to Honors, Dual Credit, or AP.To correct an error. If you did not meet the prerequisites.I don’t know how will this policy will work in the upcoming school year, especially for the big push for AP. They will most likely not let us drop to a ‘lower’ class (my school pushes for AP to look good). A lot of people typically drop out because they feel that they can’t handle it (which is perfectly okay!).I believe that they will continue one thing, if they do let us drop AP, which is a meeting with an administrator discussing why you want to drop (which is them convincing you that you shouldn’t drop). The bottom line is that every school policy is unique, so make sure to check out your school’s policy. Ask the person in charge - it doesn’t hurt to ask!
