Why Is My Mcafee Taking A While To Load Up On Startup

Why does my computer take so long to start up?

I will divide this answer in two parts. If you will not format your PC for a longtime then surely you gonna face some slowedown issue. This is because users always install something small or big apps and that tends slow down PC start up. Some of the apps that cause slowdowns are : Steam, Garena, Adobe updater (AAM updater), Antivirus, there are some viruses which cant see in task manager but consumes your CPU alot, Chrome apps.I know many people will not agree with my second point but truth is truth. Kaspersky is the worst thing you can have on your PC. Never ever installany antivirus on your PC ( Specially- McAfee, Avast, Kaspersky, Quickheal, Norton). Antivirus destroy your PC. If you know basic of using a PC then you will never need any antivirus. You just need one software and that is Microsoft Security Essential on windows 7 and Windows defender on Windows 10(Comes pre intsalled). Thats it. I REPEAT, DO NOT INSTALL ANY ANTIVIRUS . DOESN'T MATTER WHETHER IT HARMS YOUR PC OR NOT JUST DON'T INSTALL.PLEASE.HOW YOU GONNA SPEEDUP?The only possible answer here is to format you PC. Also, try uninstalling some apps and games that are not important for you. Remove useless chrome and firefox extension. You might see some difference.THANK YOU.

My laptop is taking too much time to start I have a windows 10, what is the problem please help?

There are two ways to go about this: Kill apps from starting automatically when booting into windows. You can do so by going to Task manager (ctlr + alt + delete) and then clicking on the start up tab. It looks something like this: Note that I have disabled all applications from starting up automatically, except two: GlassWire and f.lux, which I absolutely need. The second option is to enable quick boot up. Windows enables this by default. However, check if you had disabled it sometime. For this, you can open windows explorer and type in "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Power Options\System Settings" or, search for "Power Options" on the start menu, and click "Require a password on wakeup" from the sidebar. It looks like this: Fast startup (aka: hiberboot, hybrid boot, or hybrid shutdown) is turned on by default in Windows and is a setting that helps your PC start up faster aftershutdown. Even faster than hibernate. Windows does this by saving an image of the Windows kernel and loaded drivers to the hiberfile (C:\hiberfil.sys) upon shutdown so when you start your PC again, Windows simply loads the hiberfile (C:\hiberfil.sys) into memory to resume your PC instead of restarting it. How do i stop avast from scanning at every start up?

Don't remove it with msconfig. You want it to run to give you avast's "On-Access Protection."

To stop the full scan follow these steps:

1) Start avast! Antivirus - right click on the the little blue ball on the right side of the task bar and select "Start avast! Antivirus."
2) Schedule Boot-Time Scan - In the avast! Simple User Interface (upper-left-hand corner), left-click on the menu control and select "Schedule Boot-Time Scan..." and since a scan is already set it will ask you "avast!: Boot-time scan is already scheduled. Do you want to unschedule the boot-time scan?" Click yes and then click the X in the upper-right-hand corner to close it.

If after you installed avast! you didn't perform a complete boot-time scan then let one finish and then disable it with my instructions.

Does using the McAfee antivirus slow down the system?

in short, sure all the antivirus software will slow down your operations, not slow down the system. Just like @KK Velan said, while you open a file, the AVs sure will scan the file due to its monitor rules, and the monitor rules is part of Security Protection function. "Slow down the system" is the key point you want to know, so I share some my opinion here with you. As most AV software has a feature named like "Boot Scan", or "Scan while system startup", this is the thing which can slow down your computer startup speed and take you more time, about seconds but not too much. "Boot Scan" feature can help you to scan the system before lauching all components, and protect you away from a kind of virus which could run with system. This is the key point you want to know. So, pls know, a "Boot Scan" or "Scan while system startup" feature will slow down your startup speed and take more time (normally, it will slow down 10 ~ 30 seconds), and a "real-time scan/monitor" will slow down your daily operations, like open a file, open a webpage, and also copy/paste.

Should I turn off my computer if it's stuck on the loading screen "getting Windows ready don't turn off your computer"?

The old adage “if it’s not working, restart the computer” apparently applies to Windows even when it tells you specifically NOT to turn it off.I got this screen when just trying to reboot my computer (windows 10) and even though the disk light was blinking as though it was up to something, I eventually powered down the machine. It booted back up without issue as though nothing had gone wrong… As others have stated, Windows is pretty resilient these days.In a worst-case scenario if you take this action while it’s actually installing an update, you could run into trouble. Most likely, all you’ll have to do is roll back the update. The chances of causing catastrophic damage are pretty slim.As others have also stated: if it’s really stuck then you don’t have much of a choice. Unless you have a really slow, old computer, it’s hard to imagine being legitimately stuck on this screen for more than about 40 minutes. I couldn’t even wait 15.
