Why Is My Remote Desktop Feature In Win7 Behaving So Strangely

Why does my taskbar keep disappearing from my desktop?

I think you Taskbar has got legs...! :D So lets make you Taskbar handicapped so that it never runs away (or disappears) again..! :D :P Windows - Taskbar Has Disappeared from the DesktopThis page explains how to get the taskbar to reappear.Symptom: You cannot see the taskbar (which contains the "Start" button) anywhere on your desktop may be due to:The taskbar may be hiding at the bottom of the screen after being accidentally re-sized.If the presentation display was changed, the taskbar may have moved off of the visible screen (Windows 7 and Vista only). The taskbar may be set to "Auto-hide" (Windows XP with Service Pack 2 only). The 'explorer.exe' process may have crashed.SolutionsPut the mouse pointer on the bottom border of your screen. If the pointer turns into a double-arrow , click and drag upwards. If your taskbar isn't hiding at the bottom of the screen, try moving the mouse to the right, left, and top edges, looking for the double-arrow.Press the Windows logo key and the P key on your keyboard to bring up the presentation display mode options.Make sure "Computer Only" is selected.Use the arrow keys to toggle between options and Enter to select the correct display mode.Press the Windows key on the keyboard to bring up the Start MenuRight-Click on the taskbar and select Properties.Toggle the 'Auto-Hide the taskbar' checkbox and click Apply. If it is now checked, move the cursor to the bottom, right, left, or top of the screen and the taskbar should re-appear.Repeat step three to return to your original setting.Open the Task Manager using either Ctrl+Alt+Del or Ctrl+Shift+Esc.Click the File menu and select New Task.In the dialog box, type 'explorer.exe' to restart the process.

Does factory resetting your computer delete all its viruses and malware. If so, how do you do this?

What type of malware are we talking about? First, 2 types of Malware survive formating :Bootkits (malware, that infects boot sector). It will be deleted if you restore Master Boot Record only and that is not done in all cases by format alone.Bios viruses, that are not that common for PCs as they are complex to write and can do very little.Malware in computer related hardware however is quite popular for other hardware: routers, phones, etc. Then there is question of reinfecting PC almost at once:Bad, infected backups.Apps that store data in cloud, including (possibly) malicious settings. For example, Google Chrome malicious add-ons might get reinstalled by syncing data.Network Worms, that affect whole network.

Is Linux faster than Windows? To be precise, is a program run in Linux faster than that of Windows, given the same hardware specification?

Generally speaking, yes. In some cases much faster.Someone mentioned poor GPU drivers. That’s a problem being worked on, but that’s not really the OS’s fault.By OS I’ll take this to mean the traditonal OS responsibilities:thread scheduling - Linux is 2+ generations ahead of windows in thread scheduling algorithms.memory management - Linux is superior.i/o handling - Linux is superior.filesystem - Linux is way superior, not to mention 2+ generations ahead of windows, and pushing 3+. (4th generation file systems)core tools (file search, etc.) - Linux is way superior.Anyone who’s ever done a file search on Linux vs windows knows what I’m talking about. Linux is instant. Windows takes what seems like hours. Same thing with searching files for strings. Grep is magic.A few cool tricks Linux does to get superior performance:As already mentioned, the scheduling algorithm is quite elegant ( Completely Fair Scheduler ). The previous scheduler was an O(1) scheduler, which is pretty amazing. The scheduler before that is the one that Windows currently uses. ( Multilevel feedback queue ) So yeah, 2 generations ahead of Windows. Oh, and if you don’t like it - if you need for instance a scheduler designed for real-time control, you can swap out the scheduling algorithm and recompile the kernel.Linux does not load files into memory - it maps memory to files. This reduces initial file open time (after you have the pointer) to effectively zero. It will “page” pieces of the file in when needed. This in turn reduces the amount of (valuable) I/O bandwith used. ( Demand paging )Linux uses all unused physical memory as a disk cache. ( The buffer cache )The default filesystem (you can change out the file system - there are over 30 supported file systems! ) is a generation 3 filesystem (and gen 4 is coming soon), which incorporates what’s called “journaling”. With journaling, filesystem checks take seconds, not hours. Added bonus: You can turn the computer off in the middle of a disk write without risking corrupting the filesystem. ( Journaling file system )Oh, and need I mention zswap — a further reduction in expensive disk I/O usage. Though this one is not enabled by default.

Am I under surveillance if screenshots are being taken randomly time-to-time of my PC, or is it any software that is taking screenshots? It is Dropbox that is saving screenshots, but I am not giving any commands to make screenshots.

Before I answer Your Question.... if possible just tell me about your Operating System and the antivirus you use....                                            Now the AnswerShould you worry About it?No need to worry much about this thing... It is most probably some software that you might have installed unknowingly or some friend of yours who has physical access to your computer and wants to play some prank on you  can do that..... Can it be Government?        As far as Government agencies are concerned, they have much more series matter to handle than taking screen shots on your computer..... they don't do such useless things unless you are a most wanted criminal of someone like Osama Bin Laden :DCan it be done remotely? It can be done remotely. One example is using windows remote desktop connection it comes pre installed with with windows OS (You can find it under programs>accessories> Remote Desktop Connection) but to use this feature you must know the IP address of the PC that you wanna control..... and again for getting an ip address one must have physical access to your PC.Is it difficult?Yeah, You can call it a little complex and i don't think so that someone would want to go to such an extent....Any other softwares that can do that? Here is a link to the list of some popular softwares that take screen shots both for windows and mac.... take a look:Five Best Screen Capture ToolsSolutions:So don't worry the solution is simple.... as already stated in some answers.....just go to your control panel and remove any program that you have not installed or you think that looks a little suspicious...... the best way is to simply backup your important files and format your pcHope it helps and thanks for A2A....!!!

Can two monitors, two keyboards & two mouses be connected to one CPU and can those two monitors, keyboards & mouses act as two different computers?

Well, yes and no, I will answer each in a multipart answer“Can I connect two mice, keyboards and monitors into the same computer”-Yes, by connecting two of each, Windows (and other OSs) will see them all as HIDs (Human Interface Devices)/ displays and will work right away“Can it work as two separate computers”-Not out of the box, it needs extra hardware/software to do so, and it may not be entirely legal depending on OS, the question is not can it, but how?“How can one computer work as two?”-Well, starting with legality, it is against Microsoft’s EULA for two users to use the same running version of Windows on the same hardware (Microsoft considers this as theft as you need one license per current user, so you would need to be running two licenses or CD keys at once for two users to be using Windows at once), this is why if you use Remote Desktop, Microsoft blocks access to all other user accounts or it kicks the remote user offline (there is an unsupported patch to get around this though)Just like this patch, certain software needs to be installed, and possibly extra hardware, in order to differentiate each HID device and display, allowing each mouse/keyboard to work Independently from each other, and which keyboard is being used along with each mouse which is being used along with each display, keep in mind this is still against Microsoft’s EULA, thus if you can’t get this, Microsoft will NOT help you, Microsoft will also not offer such software (unless you have to pay for and activate a secondary license), that means you will have to look for third party software to do so, yes this software exists, but it is not supported or allowed by MicrosoftMacOS and all distros of Linux on the other hand do allow multiple users at once, but it is still not supported out of the box, extra software is still required, certain Linux distros may offer such software in their repositories, but not all (and it may be hard to install and set up), as for Apple, I don’t think they have any in-house software for such a thing, though with enough digging there is bound to be something

Can you use one Spotify premium account on multiple mobile devices?

You can have Spotify Premium installed on multiple mobile devices. I currently have this setup on my devices. I currently have Spotify installed with a premium account on my personal cell phone, previous cell phone (no mobile data), and work phone.Of course when the phones are in offline mode, you can do as you wish, so I won’t speak further on that. When I have go “online”, it will log off any other devices that are not in offline mode. If you happen to be streaming music on one device and happen to log in another device, after a couple of minutes the original phone will either pause or log off and the newest phone in use will take over.In one situation while I was actively streaming and searching for music on my personal device a colleague decided to use my office phone to play his favorite music track. I was out of the office and my personal cell phone began playing the track as well. As we were both actively using the 2 devices it basically became a game of tug-of-war for control. I’d try to play my song and on my office phone it would suddenly begin playing the track there as well. Then the person in the office would try to play the song again and of course on my side I would hear the song selected by my office phone. After “fighting” for about 5 minutes, I figured my account was compromised and quickly changed my password and went back to streaming. When I got back to the office, a colleague told me my Spotify account was acting strange, and after he explained to me what was happening, I stopped and laughed then told him why.But in short, have multiple accounts on a mobile device, when you start actively using one it will log the others out. If you’re actively using 2 mobile devices, you’ll have an annoying game of tug-of-war.
