My son is a limeted adminstrator on my computer which I am the administrator. When I send my email, it lists his his email address on my emails as being the sender eventhough he does not have a Yahoo email address. I need to have my name and address appear as sender.
My son's name, (not address) appears before my email address.

Why is his name listed as sender on my Yahoo account? His name is not on my account information.

Why do I get spam that appears to be from me?

The spamer is spoofing your address, sorry.

E-mail spoofing is a term used to describe fraudulent e-mail activity in which the sender address and other parts of the e-mail header are altered to appear as though the e-mail originated from a different source. E-mail spoofing is a technique commonly used for spam e-mail and phishing to hide the origin of an e-mail message.

By changing certain properties of the e-mail, such as the From, Return-Path and Reply-To fields (which can be found in the message header), ill-intentioned users can make the e-mail appear to be from someone other than the actual sender. It is often associated with website spoofing which mimics an actual, well-known website but are run by another party either with fraudulent intentions or as a means of criticism of the organization's activities.

The result is that, although the e-mail appears to come from the e-mail indicated in the "From" field (found in the e-mail headers) it actually comes from another e-mail address, probably the same one indicated in the "Reply To" field; if the initial e-mail is replied to, the delivery will be sent to the "Reply To" e-mail, that is, to the spammer's e-mail.

Why does my youtube reply to comment appear as new even when other replies thread fine - should I try Firefox?

Just like uploading videos, everything requires a few
hours to take effect. The same is true when it comes
to counting "views" that a video has. If you revisit the
video a few times in the same day, you'll notice that
the "view" count doesn't really change.

The only exceptions to this rule are messages and
video comments, though they too will eventually get
sorted out hours or days later. That is why people's
posted "reply" to a video comment will often end up
as a "new comment", but days later may find itself
right below the actual video comment they replied to,
particularly when they click on "View All Comments".

We get this question a lot at RocketBolt since our service features email open tracking. The simple answer is: No… it’s not possible. That said, it’s possible to guess your email might have been forwarded using an email open tracking tool. For example, if you send an email to an individual recipient and your email open tracking tool tells you the recipient opened the email from a certain location, then, within a short period of time, you receive another open notification from the other side of the country (or world), it’s possible the email was forwarded. Not a fool proof system by any means, but, again, since the actual technology is impossible, this is about as close as you can get.

Deleted emails reappear in my inbox?

I have the same issues across all servers including my iOS. I believe I have discovered an alternate way of deleting mass emails from your inbox. I created a new folder, and with that I transferred emails from a specific sender in my inbox, into this new folder. When I did this, the number that tells you how many emails you have in your inbox went down. From the new folder, I deleted all content in that folder, and it worked! Now, I have not tried it with my entire inbox, as I am only deleting specific senders. I JUST figured this out, so I am going to try it again to confirm that this alternate way of deleting emails from your inbox truly does work, and it wasn't just a fluke. I'll let you know...

Why am i receiving spam e-mail with my own e-mail address appearing in the RETURN PATH?

Although there is a possibility you were 'hacked', it is far more likely that your address was compromised by one of the powerful spam bot networks. They have the ability to crack passwords, especially weak ones. They can also 'spoof' the addresses in the From: area to make it more likely that they will be opened. Spammers have programs just to 'harvest' e-mail addresses. Your account has been compromised, and more of this type of letter will keep happening!

Carefully read the technical advice given below - they are the best, most-detailed I have ever read. Read them BEFORE you set up a new safe account! Yes, you will probably chose to open a new account, but transferring your contacts and saved mail is time-consuming.

Changing your password is NOT sufficient! Use a very strong password (letters, capitals, punctuation, symbols - the longer the better) Change your 'Secret' Questions and Answers too - ones that nobody could guess - Yahoo even allows you to invent your own questions.

AFTER you have read the advice, and copied your Contacts list, you could use a BRAND NEW account to contact everyone with your new address, including your name and 'new address', as well as an apology to them. Urge ALL of them to use BCC: and delete all addresses when forwarding mail too! https://edit.yahoo.com/registration?.int…

Consider opening another ALTERNATE account in Yahoo mail - you will not lose anything (contacts, address list, saved mail, folders.) If someone sends mail to the old e-mail address, it will go to the same Inbox so you don't lose any messages. Click the link below to get an extra email address for your existing account. Use it just as you would for your primary address (which of course you can still use). You can send and receive email from either address from the same Inbox in the drop-down arrow menu to the right of the From: section.
