Why Is My Rm-z 250 Only Push Starting

My car will only start when push started ?

with those symptoms, you could have a bad starter, a filed clutch safety or neutral safety switch , an alarm that is causing problems, even a bad battery. go step by step and eliminate the problem.

Why do motor bikes have a 1 down rest up gear shift pattern, and not a sequential pattern?

Mostly a matter of convenience, and a small bit of safety.Motorcycles have almost always had sequential gearboxes - meaning you cannot shift from first to fourth, for instance. Whether the shift pattern is 1-down 4/5-up or otherwise basically depends on the location of the freewheeling neutral gear in this sequence of cogs. The shift patterns on the earliest geared motorcycles were also likewise, and many commuter motorcycles especially in my part of the world still continue with this format for its simplicity.Somewhere down the motorcycle engine evolution, I'm guessing sometime in the 40s, enough torque became available to eliminate any real use for the first gear unless taking off from a standing start - one didn't really need first gear while riding around. This allowed the neutral gear to come between the second and the first cog, dividing the shifting range between [Second-Top, for riding around] and [First, for taking off].Coming to the safety angle, having a drive gear at either end of the gearbox makes it more difficult to get into neutral accidentally - you shift down one gear too many, the worst that can happen is a small tail slide as your rear slows down too fast in first. If one were to hit neutral in this situation, there'd be no drive, diminished grip, and some sweat inside the helmet.

My kick start won't go down crf250?

A kick starter that won't move is not a good thing.
1. Broken kick starter cog/transmission.
2. Seized engine.

If it is a seized engine or a broken cog part, if you try and force it, you might make it worse. Or you could have the attitude that I always had; It's broke, it is now useless to me, I'll see if I can get it to go.

Usually when an engine seizes it will do it all at once. You will be humming along and then BHAM! The engine will stop and the rear wheel will just lock up. You go to move the kick starter and it is frozen.

Pull the spark plug, click the bike in gear and try and turn the rear wheel. If the rear wheel will not turn with the spark plug in, your engine is seized. If on the other hand it does turn and the piston does move, you have a broken part in the trans/kick start assembly.

If the engine is seized you can sometimes pour oil into the spark plug hole, let it sit over night and be able to kick it over. I would not attempt to start it if it was seized, you need an engine rebuild, but unseizing the engine will make it a lot easier to take apart.

Suzuki DR350 very hard to kick start first time.?

I have a '92 suzuki DR 350, which takes about 50 kicks to start the first time of the day. After that I starts up just fine.

At first I just thought it was flooding (and it was), however...

I recently replaced the fuel petcock (which is a vaccum petcock), since the other one had went bad.

And I also completely tore down and put back together the carb. Its completely clean, in good shape, and I adjusted the float levels to exact specification.

Those 2 things made it run better, It hasn't flooded since then, however that first start of the day always takes like 50 kicks. I've tried many many different techniques, choke/nochoke heavy on the throttle, or no throttle at all, with/without the decompression lever. Kicking it a few times with full throttle, then the rest closed. I know all about using the decompression lever to find TDC. Yet all these things I've tried, I just have not been able to get it to start nicely right out of the garage. Any advice?
