Why Is My Samsung Not Sending Or Recieving Calls/texts From Only One Contact

Why is my samsung not sending or recieving calls/texts from only one contact?

I have a Samsung Galaxy SII, and it works perfectly fine. Im also on giffgaff if that has any relevance. So i can call/text all of my contacts, except for one of my friends, and it's so annoying because we can't text each other when we need to. Anyone have a solution? Remember it's not all, but only one contact. My friends are on all sorts of networks, one of them is on giffgaff, and so it says "woohoo that text was free", but im just not sure why i cant send it to this friend who we will call 'B'.

Thanks for all your answers in advance, and please why cant i contact 'B', also im pretty sure it's the right number...

Thank you again!

Why does the phone not ring for outgoing calls?

My samsung galaxy captivate has stopped letting me send or received calls (technically). When I call someone it either doesn't ring at all, or ends the call after one ring. Then when I get calls, I pick up and the other person can hear me (they text me telling me that) but I can't hear them. How to solve this? It's a fairly new phone

Do you recon it could just to have to do, with the sim reader in my other phone?.. I know sometimes its cos of the battery??.. Why is my phone receiving messages that were sent to my husband's phone?

Mostly because you're both sign into the same iCloud account. This is a very easy fix.On both devices you must do this so they don't receive the same messages.Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > uncheck all but your mobile number. Please comment if this was helpful.Thank you!

My cell phone can't receive text messages, but can send them?

My Verizon Wireless Samsung Reality has not been able to receive txt messages since around 1 A.M early Saturday morning on 3/31/12. I can txt other people still, but they just can't receive my messages. It was working fine the other day, so I don't know what went wrong. When I went to Verizon they told me I'd have to wait 2-3 days for a solution, and if the problem can't be solved I'm going to have to get a new phone. I also got my phone restored so every single thing on there except contacts and pics/vids have been erased. :( Already tried taking out the battery and shutting the device on and off also.I need advice, is there anything I should do to my phone for a last minute resort? Help will be very much appreciated. :)

If I block a number on my Samsung Galaxy s7, will it prevent outgoing calls/texts as well as incoming?

It depends how you block it. Depending on your carrier they may either block incoming calls and still allow text, block both incoming but still allow outgoing, or block incoming/outgoing calls, and incoming text. This also changes based on software solutions (apps, integrated blacklists, etc.). For most integrated blacklist apps it only blocks incoming calls or text. If you want to block both incoming and outgoing an app designed for parental controls would probably be the easiest route as they're designed to stop kids from having contact with restricted numbers all together. As far as blocking outgoing SMS, I don't think it's possible, or at least appears incredibly difficult without using a custom SMS app. If blocking incoming and outgoing calls/incoming text is what you want, you may need to use several services to achieve what you want(at least if you want to avoid paid apps; if not maybe Call Guard - SMS Call Blocker would work, but it doesn't block outgoing text) something like Calls Blacklist will work to block incoming text and calls, then there are a lot of apps to block outgoing calls. Obviously if you're using any of these be sure you trust them as you obviously must grant then permissions to monitor your calls and text to pick out and stop the correspondences from unwanted contacts. As far as the outgoing text goes, perhaps your carrier could stop the device you want from contacting the number you don't want.

Not receiving all messages on Samsung Galaxy S6?

My phone has had no problems every receiving texts aside from occasionally not downloading a mms text the first time. There have been 2 software updates recently and after the 1st, I have been receiving some texts but not all. It's very frustrating because I have no clue until someone calls me and asks why I suddenly stopped answering. Has anyone else been having this problem? If so, has anyone been able to fix it? I feel like I've tried nearly everything except a factory reset- which I really don't want to have to do.

Can call but cant text a person on new phone?

I just bought a Samsung J7 refine through Virgin mobile and there's an issue. One person on my contact list isn't receiving my text messages even though calls go through just fine. This person has an iPhone (I dont know what one) through sprint. Every other contact I've tested has worked with the texting, including other iPhone users. I've tried adding a 1 in front of the number but that didnt help. I also have yet to verify if her texts are able to make it through to me or not.

Can you block someone's messages but not their calls to an iPhone?

If you wish to only block text during that time period, I would use Do Not Disturb. You can set it for that time period and it will block everything. If the contact is in your Favorites, you can set Do Not Disturb to allow calls through from that specific contact during that time period, as well as other contacts. There have been some changes to how Do Not Disturb operates now, and also allows for individual emergency pass through for individual contacts. See this Use Do Not Disturb on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support for basic Do Not Disturb information, and this for emergency individuals in the iPhone User Guide. http://help.apple.com/iphone/10/...
