I lied to my teacher....help?

This is a lesson of life. Sometimes you do everything right, and still fail, and sometimes you do everything wrong, and still succeed.

You teacher probably has "lost" papers before, misplaced them, perhaps threw student papers out, by mistake, and has had to make allowances for her errors before.

You can "make it up" to teacher by doing great work for the rest of the year, and thus justifying the faith the teacher had in you, that you deserved the points or grades she gave you, for nothing actually.

Do NOT tell her (I'm a former teacher, so know it's best not to) because it will make her think she was wrong in "trusting you.", and you put something over on her, taking advantage of her good nature to give you credit even though she never saw your project.

Often one project, one test, one assignment really isn't a "sink or swim" event in a whole year, normally over 160 days of class. Instead, what you do in the other 159 days determine whether you deserve a good grade or not.

I once went to a teacher and apologized for something, it's been so long ago, I forget what the problem was. But, I still remember that the teacher laughed, and said that I was one of his best students, and if he had more like me, teaching would be so much more fun or worthwhile. He said he was glad to have me, so no need to apologize for "one mistake".

You may not know this, it's a deep secret, but teachers often let "good students" slide, may even not look at their papers as closely as they look at worse students. Teachers often look for excuses to give good students better grades than those students who are discipline problems.
The idea, is to let "bad students" know they don't get away with anything. Whereas, favors often are doled out to students who make a teacher's day brighter. Now, don't tell anyone this secret!

Give up the guilt, and instead, get on with your lessons, studies, and call this a lesson well learned about what not to do in the future.

What you might have done, instead, would have been to ask for more time, or taken an "F" for one project, and then make it up with harder work after that.
But, IF you did that, you would have never learned the terrible cost of deception, and fact that she won't ever get to see what you really could have done, if you could have made the time limit.

Either way, you have learned something, call it even.

Please help! Does my teacher like me?

A young woman teacher with obvious liberal tendencies explains to her class of small children that she is an atheist. She asks her class if they are atheists too. Not really knowing what atheism is but wanting to be like their teacher, their hands explode into the air like fleshy fireworks. There is, however, one exception. Pupil: I lost it fighting this kid who said you weren't the best teacher in the school ........................................... The teacher spent the entire hour reading to her class about the bison family. When she had finished, she said, “Name some things that are very dangerous to get near to and have horns.” Little Johnny spoke up without hesitation, “Automobiles?” ........................................... A little boy just couldn't learn. One day his teacher asked him who signed the Declaration of Independence. He didn't know. For almost a week she asked him the same question every day, but still he couldn't come up with the right answer. Finally, in desperation, she called the boy's father to her office. "Your boy won't tell me who signed the Declaration of Independence," she complained. "Come here, son, and sit down," the dad said to the boy. "Now if you signed that crazy thing, just admit it so we can get out of here!"

My teacher won't help me?

I'm a freshman in high school, and having a very difficult time in a specific class. Civics. Pardon my french, but my teacher's an ***. He never explains anything to me, and I've asked him countless times what I'm doing incorrectly and how I can fix my mistakes. I've stayed after school until 6 pm in the evening everyday for the past 4 weeks. We've had meetings before. My teacher, my mom, and I. He should understand that I'm new to this information and he expects us to remember all of this stuff without even getting help, he says, "well this person is doing pretty good in my class. AT THE MOMENT" which means only a few are barely passing. I take classes with 12th graders by the way, and he always brags to people about how they're a model pupil, how are they a model pupil if they take a class with a bunch of freshmen! he's also like, "you should be like this person, they understand this more." like no ****, they're about to graduate... So really, what I'm trying to say is that I HATE THIS CLASS. and absolutely dread it everytime I have to go. I wish that this wasn't a required course, because I am tired of being stressed over the classwork & homework. It is literally depressing. I don't know what else to do, cause if I don't bring my grade up I'll have to retake this class and that is the last thing I want to do.

Why is my teacher so mean 2 me? (10 points) please help?

ok my SOCIAL STUDIES teacher is so mean to me and i don't know why
i'm a very good student i'm kind if shy so i don't speak much in class...anyways
she hates me and i told my mom she says that this is what all kids say but it's not.
here's the deal i forgot to do my homework because i didn't write it in my agenda and this
was only one time. well i forgot to do it and she yelled at me she said you're such a slacker
do you even care about my class? and i said yes i'm really sorry..then she said i am so sick
and tired of you so she took me into the office and called my mom...but she didn't do this
to any of the other student only me and there was like ten other people who didn't do there homework... then when ever i turn in my homework she snaches it out my hand in a very rude way..she is constantly yelling at me and hurts me...i was doing a work sheet she gave us to do and she yelled at me saying IT WOULD HELP IF YOU TURNED THE PAGE..and i was turning the page i was just writting the answer down. then today i had recess dention for chewing gum in math but my math teacher i thought she took me off cause it was just plastic so i didn't serve it and she said you and at first i thought she was talking to someone else and then she said you girl with the face so i turned around and the class was laughing i don't find that funny. anyways she said you didn't serve your detention and i said i didn't know and she said yes you did and i said no i didn't she said are you using a tone with me i said no she said come here and i was in science class so this was wrong of her to do she said see god how dumber could you get...and it hurts me she doesn't care about anyone but herself...;she is the cheerleading coach at my school too and just cause her daughter is a teachers pet doesn't mean anything she thinks her daughters the perfect one...and she's just so cruel i don't know what to do i'm failing her class? HELP!

NOTE: i'm very smart i'm on honor role and last year i was student of the year...i'm passing all my classes but s.s i'm afriad she'll fail me HELP:( 10 points best answer!

Hi Cherri. I've been thinking about your situation. First of all, you HAVE to know that teachers and students kissing, dating... is VERY illegal. Remember that one gym teacher in Mean Girls? He was sent to jail! It doesn't matter how old he is, he's still a teacher. Think of him as a normal guy in a room with you with the door shut. You'd know what he REALLY want. Think about other girls he'd do the same after you! He may even sleep with them! That's just plain wrong! YOU have to save yourself and all the girls after! You should of slapped him right when he kissed you, wait, you should of known when he closed the door. But I understand, you were scared, surprised, confused and since he's a teacher, you never thought about a scene like that.

He's liked at school eh? Well, you can't live the rest of your life with everyone hating you. I got a plan. This will be the best "play" ever! You'll be the main character with the whole school as the audience. Th scene will be in the girl's locker room or the cafeteria. Everyone will be talking and stuff, happy scene. But the all of a sudden you start crying, I mean like an ocean of tears! Wait for lotsa people surrounding you, if there's a teacher in the crowd, even better! At first when everyone's asking the reason your crying, say no. But when there's like tons of people, start telling the story slowly. They'll understand, feel sorry for you and won't hate you, I promise. The story will spead around like crazy. When they ask why you never told anyone, say you afraid that if I told anyone, he'll rape me, or something like that :D. After a few day, tell you family. If the rumor got to their ears, then good. But don't say that your teacher threaten you that he'll rape you, ok? Just you your afraid that he would.

It's the only way to punish him and not be hated. Be strong, think about the girls after you. What will the go through?? It's like cancer, you'll have to get ride of it when it just got started, or else. Good luck, and I hope it'll never happen to you or anyone ever again.

My teacher thinks i plagiarized, help?!?

It's up to her to prove it. Do you have your rough drafts? Any witnesses that you wrote the paper yourself? Tell your parents what's going on. If she gives you the threatened zero unfairly, then have parents go over her head to the principal or dean. No luck there, go to the school board. Did you cite your sources? It's always been okay if you paraphrase the sentences, it's plagiarizing when you copy the sentence verbatim without quoting and citing the source. Your teacher should know that.
