No. Duterte might be, over in the Philippines, and maybe others. That said, I don’t believe for a minute that Trump, Prep school grad and wealthy child, also was an Ivy Leaguer and Wharton MBA who actually attended and earned his degrees. He can’t even spell. He barely speaks intelligibly some of the time. Grammar is not his strong suit. He has no grasp of the Constitution and thinks he can bully his way into making “Executive Orders” stick. Nobody with an academic background like his should be such a bad speller! Really. It cannot happen. Imagine what his entrance essay to Wharton must have looked like, assuming he wrote it, which is not a realistic assumption. Also his wife looks like an abuse victim. So in short he is a rich guy from a rich upbringing who got richer by making deals with money he already had and people he already knew, like all the other elites. And like many of those, he probably appeared at college and grad school for a couple of photo ops and let some plebe take his tests for him, if he even did that much. And he’s a bully and thug. I may get flamed for that opinion, but you might want to hold your fire for another 6 months and see where we are at then. You may realize you horribly misjudged his character. I think you might.

He told voters what they wanted to hear, that coal was coming back big time (it’s not), that he would renegotiate all our trade deals and all those manufacturing jobs would come back (he’s not and they are not) that he would crush ISIS in a matter of days (he didn’t) and that he Mexico would pay for his great Wall (they are not).He promised his voters that everyone would have great affordable health insurance. That isn’t even close to the truth based on the House Republican plan.None of the things he promised, without ever having a plan to accomplish, is getting done. Instead, Republicans are in power and doing what they always do, serving the interests of the super wealthy and big corporations, while decimating the safety net for our citizens.He’s clueless on policy, and anyone who’s spent significant time with him will tell him he’s not the brightest bulb in the pack. Why are kids in America so stupid today?
First, if your just not into American history, there's not much point in knowing who John Quincy Adams is because its rare he will come up in conversation. If you know the 1st president, the 16th president, the former president and the current president, you can pretty much get through life scott free after graduation. At 30, I couldnt tell you who the 7th president is but I could tell you who the 7the emperor of rome was and when he was born and when he died. You should definitely know certain historical event and people but after that, history is merrily an interest. Hitler is taught in the classroom at great detail because of the Holocaust. Mussolini is thrown around too but not so much that it becomes engraved in your mind. If you use an extensive vocabulary around people who use are a more colloquial way of speaking and you hate when they ask you what words mean, you need to simplify your terminology and stop acting like a know it all. And last, if you had mentioned books like, Uncle Tom's Cabin, Moby Dick and even some Charles Dickinson, I might understand your argument there but as it is, I do not. Lord of the Rings may be a classic but Harry Potter absolutely is not. And even if it was, little cultural growth will come out of it. Its purely for entertainment, much like The Lord of the Rings, The Hunger Games and even Twilight. Its called literary preference. So please get down off your high horse and do your research before insulting an entire country.
I don’t think Rodrigo Duterte is an atheist. He clearly believes that there is a God; this is evident in his previous speeches and pronouncements. Atheists deny the existence of God or a superior, infallible being.Is he crazy? I doubt it. He loves controversy and I believe that he uttered those “stupid God” comments to stir controversy. He has little filter and simply says what he has in his mind.His past experiences with the Catholic Church may have contributed to his dislike of the religion. He claims to have been molested by a priest when he was young. That experience probably scarred him mentally and caused him to harbor ill will against the church.Personally, I think that this issue is being overblown out of proportions. I get that the Philippines is for the most part a deeply religious country, but can’t a man just express his thoughts and opinions even if we don’t like it? Freedom of speech is a thing. Blasphemy is not a crime in the country so he didn’t violate any laws. He might have insulted God, but the consequences of his words, if any, should be between him and God alone - not between him and us.
I feel so stupid about my problems?!?
Whenever I have something on my mind there's this one teacher I always want to talk to,who I am pretty close with as far as teacher/pupil relationships go. However I feel like she'll think of me as being silly and I feel silly myself when I say the problem aloud. I have been considering going to see her this week but I just dont have the guts and I need some encouragement I think. Are my problems really stupid or do you think I should go talk to her?i also feel like she'll be thinking 'what exactly do you want me to do about it? An example of my most recent issue is a girl-a friend in fact- who has said some really hurtful things about the fact she's better than me because i live in flat and she stays in a house in a posher area,and that I won't get anywhere in life,as well as saying that she's better because she has two parents,whereas I have one. The trouble is I am also starting to believe she might be right as I've been feeling really down due to having an empty purse 24/7,whereas she always has money!please help me,would talking to my teacher help?thanks in advance!
1) The proper word isn't stupid... at least not in most cases. Stupid implies unable to learn. The correct word would be gullible, or perhaps credulous.2) Part of the reason is that Citizens in the US have both a need to believe that government is working for them. After all it says so right in the Constitution.3) Part of the reason is that we have lost (actually had taken over) our independent media by the same trans national corporations which are bribing our government into treason.4) Part of the reason is that politics, and MSM "news" by extension, has become a science of "spin" (telling folks "convenient" promises) so that they will vote for you, and then justifying breaking those promises by pointing to an outside enemy as the reason why the "promises" were never kept. That enemy in recent years has been Muslims, gays, China, Russia, illegal immigrants, GOP, DNC, etc.4a) The objective here is to keep us divided and distracted by "issues" which matter deeply to Us but do not affect the profits of corporate fascist bribers in such a way that we don't notice them dismantling our Constitution, and don't notice that we ARE being driven into a new serfdom.5) Remember the corporate owned media? They actively support 4a because it is those very corporations bribing OUR Congress into doing this dismantling.
