Why is Quicksilver so underrated by critics?
Why?Because they couldn’t really do much with character. The Flash (Well… the various characters that have been called by that sobriquet) existed for roughly 24 years before Marvel introduced Quicksilver. In that time period DC Comics had their character written into a variety of narratives and had included him as being a members of their respective super groups The Justice League and The Justice Society. By the time Marvel decided to go with Quicksilver, the stories about speedsters and been done and overdone. It also didn’t help that Quicksilver was never developed as a character. Beyond being Wanda Maximoff’s brother and be ill-tempered and arrogant, there was never much depth given to the character. Since there were few reasons for fans to like the character or to grow an interest in him, he languished over the years and now is simply is background noise within the Marvel Universe ( the exception being the primary MCU film universe where the character is deceased)Finally, Quicksilver was a bland character in a crowded pantheon of more colorful performers. There were simply too many other more interesting heroes for Quicksilver to stand out. While he did receive two limited series runs from Marvel overall the character was written with depth of character to equal much less overshadow his X-Men or Avenger contemporaries.
Who is the most overrated X-Men character?
I would have to say it’s Cyclops.Scott Summers is not a bad character. His power isn’t all that interesting though and he is regularly given far more importance than he should. He is a great leader and is very good with strategy, but I frequently get rather tired of him.To me he is the Worst X-Man Ever. While he is a tremendous leader, he is seriously flawed as a person and creates more problems than he solves. He’s way too stiff and strict and just comes across as very pretentious. This might be due to him being all but adopted by Professor Xavier. Scott was his golden child. Always pushed to the front of things. On top of that he was considered essential to plans by both Apocalypse and Mr. Sinister. He married the woman who became the Phoenix. He fathered one child that ended up becoming several other characters. Any of which is a more interesting character than he himself is (well, except maybe Stryfe and X-Man).Now we have two versions of Scott Summers. The adult version and the teenager version. Granted, we also have that for Beast, Angel, & Iceman. I would argue though, that with them it’s far more interesting. A second Cyclops just feels completely unnecessary.Honestly, I wish he’d been the one to get killed off instead of Wolverine. Wolverine is considered by many to be a one dimensional character. Those that think this are wrong. He probably has more depth than almost any other X-men character. Sure, he’s a tough guy. But he’s a tough guy with an incredibly deep history.
Who is the most underrated hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
I’m surprised that no one mentioned ANT-MANBoth the Ant-Man and his alter ego, Scott Lang are hugely underrated in MCU.It’s like no one thinks he even exists.Stark doesn’t even know who he was, when he met him in the jail or in the airport although he had complete knowledge of the other superhero, Spider-Man. Hank Pym thinks he will not be able to beat an Avenger. Black Widow thinks he is a super hero rip-off and a poor combatant. Even, Falcon thinks he can beat him!The others don’t even care who he is and how important he was to the mission. But he was the one who took the biggest of risks, whether it was in his fight with Yellow Jacket or the Airport Scene. He went into sub atomic size to destroy Yellow Jacket’s armorHe took a great riskFlying straight into Tony’s bombs (He didn’t know Scott was on the arrow)He defeated Black WidowAnd when there was a need for a big distraction, guess who comes to aid?It took a combined force of four of the most powerful MCU superheroes, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Vision and War Machine along with a helpless Black Panther to subdue him.But as Tony Stark said, “Who is he?”He sure is underrated (both in MCU and in real life)Image Source: Marvel.com: The Official Site
Why aren't Ant-man, Hawkeye and Nick Fury there in Infinity War? If Quicksilver had been there in Infinity War, would he have died because of Thanos?
you sure you’re ready for it? here goes nothing..Ant Man- We all know that Ant-Man’s sequel Ant Man and the Wasp is releasing very soon after Infinity War as in 6th July,2018.So it’s highly likely that the film won’t showcase Ant man or the Wasp too much. may be just cameo like screen times as was evident in Civil War airport scene.Just a fleeting glimpse i might add just enough to justify their presence. It would be kind of redundant to showcase their minor yet awesome roles in the films in the trailers itself.2. Nick Fury - Samuel L.Jackson’s hard boiled, on the edge and ever vigilant spy would have at most 10 minutes in total screen time, if he’s lucky. the major contributing factors are Fury’s age as he can’t do much physically and he isn’t a meta human/special powered guy who can make a dent on Thanos’s invading army. He may not be in the film after all so who knows?3. Hawkeye- Jeremy Renner’s charismatic yet highly underrated archer is going to be a important character in the film. Some minor spoilers but he will be masquerading as Ronin, a ninja leading a yakuza clan, aka Japanese mobster group.look at the legs for the design. the golden striations to be specific. Here’s what the actor had to say : “I can’t get into the theories. I know [Ronin] is in the comics, but otherwise I don’t really know anything about that stuff.”Source : Infinity War Features 'Wondrous' Hawkeye and Google, as usual.
