What is the reason why aquaculture is important?
There are many societal, economic and environmental reasons why aquaculture is important but the single reason why aquaculture is essential is food security. Put simply, there are not enough fish in the sea to feed an ever-increasing world population due to overfishing and mismanagement of ocean resources in the past and present. For decades, aquaculture has been nicely filling the gap between wild capture fisheries and demand for fish as food. In fact, last year worldwide production of fish from aquaculture overtook production from wild fisheries for the first time in history.The bottom line: if we didn’t have aquaculture, there would not be enough fish for people to eat, and fish is essential for an optimal healthy diet.The trick is managing aquaculture production to minimise environmental impacts. The use of natural resources by mankind will always have an environmental impact, but we need food to survive so a degree of environmental impact must be accepted.
Why is studying computer programming becoming more and more important?
This is the age of science and technology. Our knowledge is vast and it’s growing. We need to do a lot of work in a short amount of time. If we look around we will see that human has great ideas. But we have limitations too. A human knows a lot but lacks speed and performance. Because we know more than we can do. So we need something that will work for us without asking questions. This something is the machine or more accurately computers. Computers can do many work but lacks ideas. We have to give them instructions from our vast experience and ideas so that this machines can carry out some work for us. In order to give them instructions we need a routine. As everything is easy if we follow routines. The same goes for computers. This routines are given through programming languages. As computers lacks ideas they don’t do anything by themselves and so they easily follow our instructions/programming languages. Thus they don’t have to think and can do a lot of works. So we need computer programming for the following reasons :This enables us to give instructions to computers and make them do huge work.Computers only follow instructions and thus these are fast as they don’t waste time in thinking. So they can solve big problems in the twinkling of our eye.With the help of computer programming human being can control computers and thus they can hold time in their grips.We can use computer to automatically accomplish a large amount of tasks through computer programming.Computer programming can help someone to get a good job.Teaching computer programming is a good business.Computer programming can boost your career.Computer programming is the core skill of 21st century.It is needed almost every where which is related to science and technology.
Do you support nuclear energy?
I don't, at all. I mean, how people can still see it as an option after what happened in Chernobyl? We don't need a big disaster to be victims of radioactivity again: La Hague, Normandy, France — Radioactive waste from a storage facility in Normandy, France is leaking into groundwater and is being used by local farmers for their dairy cattle, according to a report published today by French laboratory ACRO (1). Water contamination from the CSM waste disposal facility migrates from the dumpsite into the underground aquifers used by farmers, where levels of radioactivity are on average 750 Bequerels per litre, over seven times the European safety limit of 100Bq/l. In agricultural land close to the dumpsite levels in the underground aquifer averaged 9000 Bq/l or 90 times above the safety limit during 2005.
What is the future scope of logistic and chain supply management in India?
I have answered it before, will try to answer it again here, as briefly as possible.Supply Chain Management (Logistics is a part of Supply Chain Management) is all about making the right product available to the right customer at the right time and at right cost.With average purchasing power increasing, consumerism is on the rise in India. Indians are buying more and more with each passing day and this rise is here to stay. Given there is a trend of an increasing demand, companies are flooding Indian markets with their offerings, competing with each other in terms of enhanced products, better and easy shopping experience etc.This trend can be seen across companies. There are more brands of, say toothpaste, to choose from. There are different toothpastes for different needs, different taste etc. Similarly there are more options of cars, televisions, clothes, juices, biscuits etc available to consumer than what were available, say a decade back. All these options need to be made available to the consumers (right from procuring raw materials to making it available on shelf).Hence I believe, as long as there are companies competing against each other to satisfy consumers, there is a good scope for SCM in India to ensure these products reaches from raw material stage to consumer at the right time and the at right cost.Hope it helps!!!
In a startup what is more important - Product Development OR Sales/ability to sell?
Focus your funds on adding value to your company. The funds are not well spent if arbitrarily dispersed on "whatever needs bought at the time". This translates to spending time focusing on product development. And using the funds to further that goal. If your affairs are in order in that regard then you have leeway to allocate funds to a concerted marketing effort to expand/generate usership. Without a product there is nothing to market. That said, while still in development, it is important to not lose sight of the fact that your product has to be marketable. Implement features that will serve a dual purpose of being eye catching and also functional.
