Why Is The Ya Poltical Section Generally Liberals Attacking Conservatives

Do liberals attack conservatives more or is it the other way around?

I was a Republican, and now vote for the best man or woman (sometimes that’s a Republican). I can tell you IMHO, that Democrats seem braver, and have more practical policies, which require few attacks.Republicans are old and protect the status quo, because traditionally they stay in power until they lose their competences. They are the quickest to panic, organize, and throw money and rhetoric to inflame their base. So, Republicans train their base to fear anything new, especially when it’s not their ideas. They might have to credit the Dems with good results and competence, which makes a conservative look wrong, stupid, and incompetent. So, they throw up mud in the air, and attack anything that moves. That’s so they don’t kill their own, because moving requires risk, creativity, and more competence than they ever possess.Look how Trump caught them flat footed with a barrage of simple easy to debunk lies. That man has no right leading anything but a pyramid scheme. So, fall back to plan B and attack the scary Democrats.Recently they’ve been scared by uppity women, and they are about to learn how those attacks work in the #METOO era. Millions of lessons coming quicker than conservatives can understand their own panic. It should be a pleasure to watch, and make some good comments as my old party dissolves among the panicked, fallen, and corrupted.Good luck, Mac

Why do Americans generally only distinguish Conservatives and Liberals, while political theory is so much richer and more complex than that?

Our human social organization is primate organization. There is a dominant individual who is the scrappiest and most persuasive member of the community, physically large and intelligent. Over time, this dominant individual ages and is less able to fend off attacks from a younger challenger. So there are two stable social organizations possible. The first is the dominant leader with no challenger. The second is the weakening leader and a rising challenger.Political systems similarly have two basic stable states. The authoritarian state in which a leader succeeds in fending off all challenges. And the leadership-and-opposition state.Systems involving three “parties” of power groups tend to resolve into two. The third picks one of the other two and allies with it.So, yes, politics is complicated. But human dynamics move toward a simple ground state. The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our complicated stars, but in our much less complicated selves.“I root for St. Louis” my grandmother used to say of baseball. She was a Missouri native, and a lifelong fan of the Cardinals. “If St. Louis is not in it, I root for the National League” she would say. The Cardinals are in the National League. “If St. Louis is not in it, and the National League is not in it, I root for the underdog.”And there you have it. The party in power. And the party of the underdog.

What do conservatives generally get wrong about certain liberal groups?

They assume the extreme. This is true for most groups’ perceptions of the the other side, regardless of political leanings.Nonetheless, that doesn’t make it okay. It’s just a form of intellectual laziness that we all have to consciously resist when considering opposing ideas. Here are some conservative’s perception of some liberal positions:Gun control- Liberals want to ban and take away guns.Immigration- Liberals want to destroy national sovereignty and have open borders.Welfare- Liberals want to take my money and give it to poor people who are too lazy to go out and find a decent job to support themselves.Healthcare- Liberals want socialized medicine.Education- Universities, college professors, and scientists alike all show their liberal bias in their work and are thus not credible.Religion- Liberals are winning the War on Christmas, and if we don’t stand up for ourselves they’ll purge this nation of decent Christians.Abortion- (Pro-choice) Liberals are baby-killers and murderers.Military- Liberals want to make our military smaller, and leave us open to attack and fundamentally insecure from outside threats.Economy- Liberals want the government to control every aspect of my economic freedom and are a threat to the core American values in a free-market society.SJW’s- Liberals are just lazy-ass pansies who love to bitch and moan when someone says a bad word like “straight” or “white”. They just want to free ride off of the system on my dollar, and cry their eyes out if, god-forbid, they don’t get their bi-weekly handout or mandated “safe space”.Patriotism- Liberals just hate America and really just want to institute communism and socialism on a national scale. The list goes on.Normally, I would go into detail and issue rebuttals for all of these, but my life is too chaotic and I’m too angry right now to bother saving this in my drafts for later, or keep typing lines that will ultimately not add any value to my answer whatsoever. Thanks for reading.

I speak against Liberals and conservatives but only Liberals attack me. Why is that?

Liberalism is a mental illness. They are filled with hate and anger. Conservatives believe people have the right to their own opinion.

Why are conservatives so nice? Why are liberals so mean?

The conservatives I've met are some of the nicest, most generous, and friendly people I've ever met. (I'm referring to paleo-conservatives here; neo-cons are just vicious thugs however you slice it.) This is despite political beliefs which I consider to be repugnant: homophobia, xenophobia, racism, sexism, and so on. While conservatives seem to hate people as groups, when you deal with them on an individual basis, they are often quite kind and thoughtful.

For liberals, it's often the opposite. Despite supposedly sharing many of my political beliefs concerning freedom, sharing, acceptance, and equality, as individuals liberals tend to be cold, mean, and some of the most hateful people I've known. They seem to love minorities as a group, but hate the idea of having to share a neighbourhood with them. Liberals are, in my experience, also frequently among the greediest and most selfish individuals I've ever met.

I don't get it. Why do I get along better with paleo-conservatives as individuals despite having ugly politics? Why do I find liberals so vicious and callous when I agree with most of their politics?

Do conservatives know what an ad hominem attack is?

Sure. Calling the president a moron, calling Rush a stoner, calling Cheney a hack, calling republicans Nazis yes we know all about Ad Hominem attacks.

def. Ad Hominem Attack - What liberals do when they cannot win an argument. (Which is pretty much all the time)

You don't believe me?

What do liberals and conservatives disagree on the most?

The validity and weight of non-dominant group's problems. The dominant group in society ignores, or is unaware of, the alleged suffering of minority groups, the dominant group in western society is white men. Dominant groupees tend heavily towards Right-wing ideals.White women are not a minority in the population but are a minority in the workplace, in scientific research especially STEM industries and labs, etc. The left-wing has generally tried to further the fair treatment of women because of discrimination by men, the dominant group. The right-wing thinking usually reduces every minority to some negative category based on their own experiences, not those of the minority in question. Left-wing thinking wants to bring the minorities up to the level of the dominant guys by giving some of the advantages the dominant guys have had to the minorities.Example:White male kid grows up knowing he's part of the main group, he gets encouraged by adults and treated well, generally. Applies for jobs, gets job, has a good life.Black female kid grows up knowing she's part of a minority, learns the history and realised her great grandaddy was a slave and most of the main group's great grandaddy were slave owners. Gets racist treatment occasionally. Is statistically poorer and lives in a more dangerous area. Applies for jobs, gets rejected from good ones and settles for a bad job. Has a mediocre or poor life.Neither kid did anything wrong but one had a thousand secret handouts and advantages, and because they're taken for granted he believes he has worked harder and the poor are poor because they're lazy. Psychology and human development and trauma and institutional discrimination are a huge part of the black girls life, and the white boy never had to deal with any of it so he denies its existence.
