Why Is Wal-mart Better Than Everyone Esle

Did anyone else hate working at Walmart?

Ok, so I'm stuck with boring greeting job out in lawn and garden and I literally hate it. It is so slow back there and nothing to do after I sleep and straighten up so much. Have to freaking stand all day unless u have a doctors note. They won't let me move anywhere else in the damn store cause they need greeters bad. And I'm finding myself doing things like being on my phone cause I'm so damn bored half the times. No other place as usual is hiring in my area and one of the snitching managers turned me in to a csm which I told them to their damn face I was on my phone half the time cause it was boring and also told her to stop with her fake smiling while trying to be nice. Is there legit online jobs? I feel stuck at this hell joke.

The managers are lazy. Plus, they never let me do pathways or complete my CBLs. Instead, they catch an attitude with me for asking and then get mad when it says that my assignments are late lol. The customers are rude. It’s really not a pleasant environment to be in. People keep telling me to give it time, but I’ve been here 5 months. They also give me 40 hours a week regularly (I’m only part-time). I don’t mind the money, but it’s still annoying when they tell me during my interview that they won’t schedule me over 30 hours per week and then they do. Am I the only person that dreads going to Walmart? Let me know!

Why does Wal-Mart attract low-class people?

Maybe I should have reiterated this. I am poor, live paycheck to paycheck. I'm not judging anyone. But I thought a better area would bring people that know how to act. Just because you do not have a lot of money, does that give you the right to open chips before you buy them? Or, instead of using a fitting room, is it right to just take off your shirt in the middle of the store (and it is especially disgusting when the person is overweight!) I've even seen people eat produce before buying it. Recently, I was waiting in line to check out. A guy who was just buying a box of condomns was in front of me. THe cashier must of knew him or something because she held up the box and waved it to the line and said, "Hey everyone, look what he is buying." Yeah, prices are wonderful at Wal-Mart. But I'm getting to the point that I don't want to put up with this anymore. I will drive farther to shop at Target. Why can't people that act this way stay in the "ghetto" if they do not know how to act?

Why are people who shop at Walmart so strange?

The answer lies in both statistics and culture.Statistics: there are only a few places in the United States that are more than twenty miles away from a Walmart store. From supercenters with optical departments and gas stations to Neighborhood Markets with fresh produce in a convenience store, our brick-and- mortar stores have penetrated almost every possible market. Therefore the “sample size” of Walmart customers is mind- bending, which leads to a larger number of outliers who stand out as notable. On the cultural front, Walmart stores are public places that are often open all day and night. This provides a built-in audience for those with exhibition in mind. It's also a judgement-free environment for whatever a customer happens to be wearing when they make a decision to shop at Walmart. A nearby large church hosts a dance school? A store is near a sports venue? Why change your clothes to pick up a gallon of milk or a quart of motor oil?

How does Wal-Mart sell things cheaper than anyone else?

No they don't.

Surveys for the last year show that Target sells things cheaper than Walmart.

Here's one from March 2011

And here's a similar survey from August 2010

And that doesn't even include the fact that you can get a 5% discount on top of those prices with a Target credit or debit card.

Where are the walmarts located at in germany?

OK, let's start with your original question, here is a list of Walmarts in Germany (in PDF) :
http://www.walmart-germany.de/media/walm...

As you can see, there aren't many and quite honestly, from the last time I've visited one of them, with good due reason. First of all, from your description of Walmart as a "discount" shop, I understand that in the US it is supposed to be cheap, but it is not cheaper than other supermarkets (comparable supermarkets would be real - http://www.real.de and Kaufland http://www.kaufland.de ); real discounts, as the former answerer has mentioned, exist in Lidl, Aldi (in your case, Aldi-Sued), Plus or Penny Markt.

German supermarkets are very different than what you're used to if you live in suburbia US: no huge superstores (except for the ones I've mentioned, Real, Kaufland - btw both better than Walmart in service and quality), but local small supermarkets, where you can buy fresh stuff.

In any case, if you are relocating because of the military, they have a site and you can probably ask the people there how they get by, quite probable that they have their own shop in the base: http://www.ansbach.army.mil/sites/local/
