Why Is Yahoo Adds Invading My Email And Completely Distroying My Email Experience

New Yahoo Mail sucks!?

When something is "proven to work" like old yahoo mail, why do they insist on trying to make it better when in fact it is not. It is only invading our privacy and we can't do anything about it other than find a new email service. It's like Windows XP, still the best operating system to date, but they insisted on trying to make it better.

1. What are the key distinguishing characteristics of viruses, worms, and Trojan horses?

Well, a virus is a program that does things without the user's knowledge or consent. Some viruses (the Welchia worm, for instance) tried to be "good" and patch Windows PCs to prevent infection from other viruses. While the virus had good intentions, it did so without the user's permission and crashed hundreds of PCs due to wasteful bandwidth use (normally, in companies, an efficient method to distribute updates internally is used. Welchia didn't use it and clogged the internet connections of many businesses).

Now, a worm is a virus that can replicate on it's own. A full fledged worm, like the sasser worm, can infect on it's own without the user making a mistake (vulnerability found, exploited, worm installed, spread to other pcs- and you didn't have to do anything). Most worms rely on email though- you open the wrong email or attachment, you get infected, and your computer spams out the worm to others, making it self propogating.

A trojan is a virus that makes you download it manually by impersonating a desirable program (you need to download this to watch a video, free pornographic material, free antivirus, etc). It doesn't spread on it's own but causes undesirable behavior when installed.

Hope this helps!

Husband receiving Zoosk emails?

A few days ago I asked to use my husband's smart phone to check my email. It automatically brought up his gmail account which was full of emails from Zoosk.com saying so-and-so had viewed his profile or sent him a message. Last August I was away for a week and when I came home there were about 7 charges from Zoosk.com on his credit card. He claimed that he was scammed through a porn site and swears up and down that he never created a profile on the zoosk dating site. Does anyone have experience with Zoosk? Can they send you messages saying someone viewed your profile if you've never created one? He has been shady about a few things recently (lying about talking to a girl even though it was platonic in nature then lying about the fact that she moved to the area recently) and we have been going through a rough time the past year. I love him but I will not put up with BS the rest of my life and I want to find out the truth.

Also--I did not read the emails as he was sitting next to me, when I showed him he said again that it was a scam and that he thought he "deleted that app". No clue what that meant.

Cancer Man and Gemini Woman?

Gemini Woman & Cancer Man
It's too mushy for Gemini --- can't we just go out to the Luv Affair and have a good time? ( Source: AquarianAge Romance )

This match does not have great chances of lasting. You will at first be attracted to the Cancer boy’s deep and passionate nature. He’s a real sweetie on the surface. Unfortunately, you are a big flirt and even though you don’t mean anything by it, he won’t believe you. Cancer boys are unbelievably clingy and they get very suspicious very easily. He’ll accuse you of being interested in other boys and trying to sneak out on him. When he won’t believe your explanations, you’re get tired of this guy fast. Not a good match. While you'll have no problems in the attraction department, Gemini girl may sometimes feel as if she's more in the know than her Cancer companion. Cancers need to feel loved and supported, so avoid harmless flirting with other guys unless you're ready to leave dodge. Honor thy Cancer (and never say an unkind word about his mom!) and you've got the makings of a partnership of enduring value. ( Source: FUNgirl - Astrology )

Are inmates really held naked in prison?

Hello. I just read a few questions posted here in the past, I guess they were written by COs in women's prisons, basically saying that female inmates can be held entirely naked (and without blankets or toilet paper) for weeks or months at a time in things like ad-seg or suicide watch. Does this kind of thing REALLY happen? I've read a few isolated reports of the same thing happening online, but nothing too concrete yet. I can't even imagine how humiliating it must be for the inmate...would they at least get the opportunity to "earn" their clothes back? Or would they be like that the whole time?

In any case, I plan to write an article based on my findings so if anyone has first-hand experience of this kind of inmate treatment, that would be very helpful. I can also be reached through email.

Why does my husband use incognito mode in his browser?

The most obvious answer is that he's looking at porn, but there are other reasons to use it. I do it if I'm searching for something I don't really in my browsing history, like how long does it take a person to drown or symptoms of x poison or how strong do you have to be to dismember a body. (I'm a writer. What can I say?) I've also heard that if you're searching for travel prices, you should ALWAYS use private browsing. What I heard (and I'm not sure if it's true) is that if you don't buy the tickets right away, with some travel companies, they use a cookie to track that you've done a search before and when you return, the prices on those tickets go UP. They will continue to go up until you, in a panic over rising prices, buy. Also, sometimes, if I'm shopping, I find it really disconcerting if the items I was just browsing suddenly show up in adverts at every site I go to. I really find that invasive, especially if it's something personal like underwear or the like. I can be a bit of a hypochondriac too, so sometimes I'll search for embarrassing things like the symptoms of some rare form of cancer just to see if I have it. (Yes, I know it's irrational, which is why I do private browsing when I do these things.) There are lots of things that he might not want you to know about that are quite innocent. Or, he could be watching porn.
