Why is Yahoo Mail so useless?

How do i stop getting spammed like crazy in yahoo mail?
I've added the filters,mark it as spam,and im still getting crap for car loans or the euro lottery scam garbage.even the "take me off the email list" won't work.that's just a gateway to more spam or viruses!i got 20 filters!
How to sort Yahoo Mail inbox by sender?
i have found three ways to sort by sender. One is, type their name into the search bar. The second is, while the message list is displayed, hover over the message line. Part of the sender's name will be replaced with 3 icons, the first one - furthest to the left - will be a magnifying glass. Click the magnifying glass to display a list of emails from that Sender. For the third option you will need to disable the Conversations feature. Conversations is when Yahoo groups or threads multiple emails together into one email. To disable this feature: Hover over the gear icon in the upper-right corner Select Settings From the list on the left, select Viewing email Locate Enable Conversations and uncheck the box to disable this feature Click Save After you do that, you can click View and a menu will appear with an option to Sort by Sender. View is located at the right side of the compose bar. Note: You must first disable the Conversations feature or nothing will happen when you click View. You can try switching to a different browser or update your current browser, enable or update JavaScript or download or update adobe flashplayer. My Yahoo email account has gone crazy!?
Mine too! I can get emails but I can only read the subject line! The text is blank! So I told my boyfriend to say whatever he needs to say in the subject since I can't read the rest! I wasn't sure if it was just me or my computer at work but from what I hear it's a glitch with yahoo in general. Oh well...I hope they fix it soon! & I hope when it comes back to normal that I'll still be able to go back & read those emails!
Why is Yahoo so inept at blocking spam from my Yahoo email account? I get the same “Lonely Married Women” email every day. I understand that the spam email address changes every day, but why can’t Yahoo spam check the subject?
Actually, Yahoo! blocks a ton of spam. We have a team working very hard on this challenge that we all face. Check out this realtime view here: Visualizing Yahoo! Mail (make sure you click on the "reveal blocked spam" button) to see how much spam is being blocked at any moment. We block 4 messages for every 1 message we deliver.Still, you are seeing spam in your inbox which means that some comes though despite our attempts. But you can do things about this too.Remember to set the spam filter on your email client. If you are using the Yahoo! web client go to the Options tab and check to see that you have spam set to be filtered out and deleted.When spam comes though, please mark it as spam. We pick up that signal and it helps improve our algorithms. This way we can block more spam in the future for you and others.General tip -- make sure not to post your email address in full on a web site. I saw a report once that showed how spambots harvest email addresses from blogs and site by searching for "yourname@host.com" pattern but they don't search for "yourname 'at' host.com" So you can reduce your risk of inviting spam by making this small change.If you get a spam mail, don't click on the links. This sends the signal that you are a real person who clicks on spam. Just delete these emails. I'm sure you don't need the pills anyways.Did you know that Yahoo! also give you disposable email addresses that you could use, say if you are doing online shopping? Do some people still use Yahoo? And if so, why?
Have you ever looked at the Alexa rankings of websites? According to that 3rd party resource (now an Amazon company), Yahoo is now the 6th most visited site on the internet. That’s after the the wide-spread media attention about hacking which led to the theft of their entire customer database. When I worked there, they were the 5th most visited site. Everyone in Silicon Valley would tell me it’s dead, but for hundreds of millions of people around the world, Yahoo is anything but dead.For a lot of Yahoo’s site visitors, they keep coming back because they don’t think Yahoo is bad, they like the user experience, they like the content, they like the finance and sports sites — there’s just a lot of good stuff there for them. I think the users liked Yahoo’s policies on privacy (which unfortunately hacker’s destroyed a lot of users’ trust.) Yahoo put a lot of effort into optimizing their live video streaming experience and the NHL chose to partner with them because of it (I personally thought they should have tried to develop a strong relationship with FIFA to really bring in crazy numbers of fans.)
Why does my Yahoo email account think I have 2 unread messages that aren't there?
It has been this way for months & it is driving me crazy. It doesnt show them on the main yahoo page, but when I goto my mail page it always shows 2 more unread messages that I actually have. Or it shows 2 unread if I have no unread messages. Is there a way to fix this? And yes, I have checked completely through the old messages, there are no unread ones. Thanks for any help.
Neighbours driving me crazy. need help?
okay so I have water leaking in to my (rented) flat from the flat above me. This first started a few weeks ago so I went up to speak to them but nobody was in. So i wrote them a note politely asking them to get it fixed and to let me know what was going on. I also phoned my landlord to let them know. As this point there wasn't that much damage (well any noticeable damage) to my flat. So a few days later I hadn't heard anything from my neighbors So i went up to their flat again, this time a guy claiming to be a joiner answers the door. He says he's there fixing the leak (FYI I watched this guy leave to check he wasn't a burglar or anything - he wasn't) Anyway after that there was no more leaking until last weekend. This time it is much worse damaging the wallpaper in my bedroom and I'm worried its getting into the electrics in the bathroom. I phoned my landlords straight away but all they can do is report it to the council (which they have done) who can force entry into the other flat to fix it...but there is a waiting list and my flat is not deemed and emergency. The thing is, they only run the water at like 1am, and they run it for ages. what are they doing?! I went up to speak to them last night and asked them not to run the water until they had it fixed which they agreed to do (though they do not speak great english - maybe something was lost in translation!) but 20 mins later I could hear the water running again. anyway I guess i would just like some advice or opinions as I'm getting pretty sick of this!
