Why are Americans obsessed with Kim Kardashian?
I work at university library as desk clerk. Some student approached me saying he needed help in locating a book at library. I told him I can help him find the book if he can let me know what type of book he is looking for. he said, "i need book about kim kardashian". I felt bit awkward because it was an academic library and only academic books could be found. So he made me look at the library database of books to find "kim kadarshian title" book. None was found. I told him there is none but he can find lots info on the net about her. Later I was thinking about that dude. Does he come to study or look at kim kadarshian stories?
Why do so many "American" people glorify Kim kardashian?
I don't know why people love them. Maybe they're what many Americans want to be. I personally think they're annoying, the way they make a big deal out of everything. The guys look as if they're walking on eggshells, just look at how depressed the brother is.

They are mostly just popular in the media. Very few people care anything about them. The media loves them and constantly pushes them in our faces. There is a very small percentage of trashing Americans who like trashy TV that follow them.Don't judge the US by things you see on TV. TV, even US news is nowhere truthful and almost never mirrors the reality of the typical American.We don't live like the people on TV. We are not that, that is all fake news and fake entertainment made to look like news.
Why is Kim Kardashian famous?
Her dad, Robert Kardashian was one of O.J. Simpson's lawyers during his trial. For me, she used to be hot. Not anymore. Has anyone seen her face lately? Nothing special with all of that surgery. Now she looks like her mom. Not exotic in the least. Also did a sex tape with Ray J, which I heard was very boring and poor.

There has never been an era since the advent of modern media that looks didn't sell.OJ Simpson - The shadowy presence lurking in the room. If it wasn't for OJ Simpson and the controversy his trial and subsequent life has created there would be no Kardashian media empire.They are effective PR people - Considering that the sisters and their siblings really have no performing skills, their ability to remain in the forefront of the American mindset is astounding. They have exceed even what Paris Hilton at the height of talentless fame had achieved.Their has been surprisingly little controversy surrounding them - The sex tape, the brief marriage and the allegations of non-paternity (Khloe) aside, there has been few instances of the Kardashians receiving negative press for their statements or their action.They engender an atmosphere of racial harmony - Two of the sisters are in long term relationships (one marriage) with people of another race. There seems to be no antagonism in Kardashian household concerning race and, in 21st Century America, that is seen as being a positive thing. Remove this element from the show and it’s unlikely that it would have been on the air as long, or that the sisters would be as popular as they are.
