Why My Question Was Deleted

Why was my question deleted?

I feel as if your question was falsely marked as a violation of the BN;BR policy because it sort of assumes that all biracial Asians are more likely to be diagnosed with mental illnesses than monoracial Asians, when this only applies to a majority of them, or at least the test subjects used for the data you provided. This isn’t to say that what you provided as evidence towards your statement is incorrect; it is to say that your content was probably marked as a BN;BR violation because the way you put it may have accidentally appeared offensive or implicative of something other than what you intended. To remedy this, you should send a report to the Quora moderators, explaining why your question should not be deleted, and how your question is based off of actual, accurate data as opposed to falsified, opinionated statements as some of the moderators involved with this question’s deletion may have thought.Unfortunately, it appears to be rather common on Quora that even mentioning how one race has an advantage over others, even if it is statistically backed up and is asked solely for curiosity’s sake and not as a form of hatred towards other races, will make your answers and questions more susceptible to being deleted or at least collapsed. You’re going to have to find a way to make your question either sound less “racey” (even though it really isn’t), or report the false mark to a moderator for further inspection. I wish you luck in bringing this question back from deletion.

How did one of my questions get deleted?

I asked a question and everything was going fine (people were answering, discussing, etc). Then suddenly, its gone. Who deletes questions? I certainly didn't. And why no reason? I have not been told why my question was deleted! What the hell is going on?

Why was my yahoo answers question deleted...?

If you want to know the reason for the violation, post "Why was this question (answer) a violation?" and add the original e-mail you got so the users can see the exact context. The experienced users here will explain it to you. There is no statute of limitations on breaking the YA rules.

A guess is that you asked it in a chatting format such as "Do you understand the ending...?". It is a common mistake but if your question is worded so that it can simply be answered "yes" or "no", it is not worded correctly.

However there are several reasons Qs are removed.

1. It is a violation of the rules - you will get an e-mail when that happens. If you want to know the reason for the violation, post "Why was this question (answer) a violation?" and add the original e-mail you got so the users can see the exact context. The experienced users here will explain it to you. There is no statute of limitations on breaking the YA rules.

2. There were zero answers when the time expired - no e-mail sent.

3. The BA was reported as a violation - no e-mail sent.

4. During voting, "No Best Answer" was chosen as the best answer - no e-mail sent.

Look in your e-mail, including the spam folder, for a violation e-mail. If not there, check your activity tab in your profile. If nothing about a violation there, then the Q was removed for one of the other reasons.

Yahoo why are my questions being deleted? see the details?

Being non-offensive doesn't mean they didn't violate Terms of Service or Community Guidelines. Ensure you are following the question/answer format, and asking knowledge seeking questions, not posting about other users (even in a good way), not point-gaming, etc.

It almost always takes multiple reports to get a post removed, so if you are having questions dropped it would appear that multiple users felt those posts were violations. If you are unsure if a post is a violation, you can copy/paste the text here, prefaced by "Is this post a violation" and the users in this subcategory can tell you if they feel it's a violation (and if so, what it violates).

Without an example of your removed posts, we can't even make a good guess as to whether they were violations or not.

How do I delete my own question from Quora?

From our Help Center article, How do I delete my own question from Quora? :After adding a question, the OP (original poster of the question) has a grace period during which he or she is permitted to delete the question; this grace period ends when a certain level of activity on the page has occurred. This policy is consistent with Quora's philosophy that questions belong to the community and OPs do not have ownership over their questions. If the question is still within this grace period, the OP can delete it by visiting their question page, clicking on the "…" link below the question title, then selecting the "Delete" option. If this option isn’t present, it means the question can no longer be deleted by the OP.For more information about Quora’s features and frequently asked questions, check out our Help Center.
