Why People Judge So Many Singers Based On Their Height

Why are Americans so tall and big? is it (being tall) considered a good thing in US? Is being short a bad thing in US?

Comparatively, we are shorter than most other majority white/European nations.Europeans, especially Germanic and Slavic Europeans, are just tall on average.List of average human height worldwide - WikipediaThe US’s average height is lower than most other European nations because we have lots of short immigrants, and many people are mixed ancestry even if they look white (like me). I am part Mexican and part Filipino, and I (at 5′9; 173 cm) am about 5 inches shorter than my dad who is white (at 6′3; 190 cm).Part of it is also nutrition. Africans who grow up in developed nations tend to be about as tall or a bit taller on average than the people of European ancestry in those nations, while Africans in Africa are much shorter on average. Most East Asians though are still pretty short where've they live. Koreans are slightly taller than Chinese and Japanese.

What's the height of being judgemental?

Girls are considered shameless if they talk to guys. Our school was preparing for performing in city level dance competition that was going to be held on republic day. Now our school has boys till 9th grade. Me and my classmates are tenth graders. Most of my friends took part in the competition. They were performing the last part of our act. I was standing in auditorium where teachers and principal were standing and they were dancing on the school ground as it was a grand act.Between the act when my friends came to put down the props. The principal was talking to one of our teachers. She was telling her how the attitude of girls change in presence of boys. She then began talking to my friends, she told them three times in total that she is not talking about them and that they should explain other girls. She was telling how every boy is surrounded by 2 to 3 girls. She also told that girls of the school are shameless and are always roaming around guys. And let me tell you the girls and boys were just planning how each group will enter and exit. They were discussing about the act and some were making props and posters. No girls were follwing guys. They had to perform together so it is obvious they had to talk. They were just helping each other. Our school was made co-ed in 2012. Thus, very less number of boys are there in the school. Our school is very conservative. Girls have to wear salwar kurta from class 6th. We have different staircase and water cooler for girls and boys. If girls talk to boys our principal considers it as a shameless act. What is the whole point of co-ed education if you consider coversation between girls and boys a sin.Its high time people should change their mentality. This is in many ways the height of being judgemental.

How do I react when someone comments on your short height and then deal with that emotion of inferiority?

People will continue to make fun of your height until and unless you allow them to do so. Now let me tell you how you allow them to do what they want, because it happens with me that's why I’m writing this. For so many years I've been teased by almost everyone, including some good friends of mine. At certain point of time I realized that they do this because i don't give them a tight reply. Everyone has certain weakness and drawbacks, i tried to figure out the one which they have and then used it as a weapon and believe me it works. It will take time to learn and practice ‘tit for tat' but once you learn people will get afraid by your presence. Now the time has come that they have to think twice or may be thrice to bully me. They know that I strictly follow Newtons third law and hence remain beware of me.I'm not telling you a wrong path neither i'm saying that giving a punch for a punch is a good habit, but the thing is how long will you tolerate the bullshit. My tolerance level is low and temperament is high so i don't allow others to enter my circle of happiness.Rest is upto you, how you manage the things, i just told you my way. You can also develop your way of handling such a*#@&s holes. But please never ever feel inferior for the thing which is printed on your DNA or in other way given by the Almighty God.Be brave, be confident. Its your life, live your own way. Do things which make you happy. Watch films like ‘Shawshank Redemption’, ‘A beautiful mind', etc etc. Read books, involve in sports and other activities like dance, music, painting etc and just be what you are.

What's considered tall for a male?

“Tall” and “short” is 100% subjective terms, but to most people in North America and Europe, anything less than 184 cm (6′1″) is NOT TALL for an adult male. 6′0″ is on that borderline area between ‘tall’ and ‘short’, to many. And anything less than 6′0″ is DEFINITELY not tall on a man, and is pretty disappointing to most women, actually. So if you live anywhere besides The Netherlands (although it still technically counts there as well, just not by much), the answer to most people is going to be 6′1″ minimum in order to be a tall man. Anything less than 6′0″ and some people will actually consider you short. (Like me, sadly.)

How to accept my height?

im a 17 year old man at 5ft4 who has been this height for the last 3 years. Although i have a handsome face im still quite insecure about my height. Women are constantly saying how they love tall guys and would never get with a short guy and honestly it hurts. I do everything i can to help people and be a good person and although i know it can be much worse for me i cannot accept my height and it deeply saddens me. what can i do im hopeless.

MODELING IN KOREA? and kpop trainee?

1. can i audition for modeling, dancing and singing all at the same time?
Yes

2. you know how models heads are tiny? and you measure you head and divide it by your height? most models are 8 heads for thier height. but im 9.
And what problem does that pose? none.

3. im korean can speak pretty good korean. white silky skin. and im 14.
Thats good. Honestly, aim for your goals as well as focusing on school.

4. are these good requirments?
Yes, you are describing what the Korean people like as a basis of beauty, although there are other views of beauty than white skin and small heads.

5. do i have to go to korea if i make it?
Depends. If you pass first round, you do a call back wherever the ent. company was holding the audition. Second auditions and so on, you most of the time mostly have to fly to Korea. It IS KOREAN trainee you're aiming for.

But remember, just because you have milky white skin and a small head doesn't mean you will get accepted. You need the dedication, ambition, and the will to improve and challenge yourself to make it. It is NOT all about looks and heights. Think, do you want FAME or FAMILY? FANS or FRIENDS? A NORMAL LIFE or LIFE WITH NO TIME FOR PERSONAL INTERESTS?
What happens if you don't make it?? And you don't even have a highschool diploma? If you get older and your white skin and small head doesn't even count as a plus for you??

Atleast focus on finishing highschool aswell as improving your skills. You are still young and you should not try to make any ijmpulsive moves just for a glint of the life of a trainee, which is anything BUT just fun and games.

Help on SM entertainment stuff!?

1) Is 14 to old to audition?

Nope! Ages 12-16 are the perfect ages to audition! This is because entertainment companies want to debut their singers/dancers at a young age where they can appeal to younger audiences.

2) I think 4'11 but isn't that too short?

Pfft. That's actually a pretty normal height in the kpop industry. Entertainment companies however, DO want their trainees taller and skinny. It's just based on the company and their preferences.

3) My friends say I sing great, but like I can't sing high notes sometimes..

I don't recommend your friends as judges. After all, they're your friends! They will always sugarcoat their critique (and sometimes not recognize it!) so I don't think you should TOTALLY rely on your friends' opinion on your singing. Ask a professional. Also, about your high note problem, try taking some singing lessons or focus on making your voice more powerful. Not all companies want high screeching voices. They would like it if you had a powerhouse voice as well.

4) After I audition, and I pass will they pay my flight to Korea?

Yes and no. Some companies will badger you for money so you can fly to Korea. Others will be generously kind and pay for your flight, and other expenses. This all depends on the company.

5) How many rounds are there?

Usually consisting of two or three. Sometimes even just one!

6) What is the schedule for the trainee life?

Most likely you wake up, go to school (on certain days or so), go to train for hours, go home, do homework and sleep. This cycle continues.

7) Will they teach me Korean? Cuz I'm not fluent in Korean soo..

YES! If you watch ABC's documentary on KPOP stars, SM does give you lessons in Korean. But alot of people have said they prefer for you to speak it beforehand.

8) How many years will it take to debut?

This matters on YOU! Some people can only train for 2 weeks while others train for more than 10 years! This is judge by the company's view on your progress. If you show potential, then they're likely to choose you.
