Why Some People Fall In Love With Famous Boy Bands

Fall Out Boy (band): Why did Pete Wentz become more famous than Patrick Stump?

This is why. EXCLUSIVE: See Ashlee & Pete's First Wedding Photo He used to be in a very publicized relationship with Ashlee Simpson which gave him a few superstar points, put him in the paparazzi spotlight and gave him access to everyone around the Simpson's social circle, whoever those people are. He's also arguably the best looking one in Fall Out Boy. His personality also adds up, in interviews you can tell he's more outgoing than Patrick Stump and the other guys who come up as very reserved people. That's why.

Why do people hate boy bands such as Jonas Brothers?

Anyone who thinks The Beatles were a boy band are ignorant as hell and don't know their music history. The only thing that The Beatles had in common with the boy bands is the fact that they were good looking and the girls went crazy over them and that's where the similarities end!

The Beatles were not put together in some back room by a record label, talent scout,or record excutive(see Backstreet Boys,NSYNC,or the Spice Girls as a few examples of this),unlike most boy bands The Beatles actually wrote their own material, even at their most poppy The Beatles were praised for their musical ability(see the famous William Mann review of With The Beatles),also I highly doubt that anyone would pay 47.5 million dollars for the back catalogs of any of these boy bands like MJ paid for The Beatles back catalog(the boy bands would be lucky to get $47.50 for their back catalogs).

Now,in fairness,The Beatles started out very poppy, but they soon moved way past that and eventually made material that all ages could relate to(much to the dismay of their teeny bopper Beatlemania fans)

Finally,I highly doubt that any of these boy bands could do songs like Helter Skelter,I Want You(She's So Heavy),Revolution,Taxman,or any of The Beatles harder rock songs.Oh they could try,but it would be an epic fail for the ages!

Merry Christmas!

Why do people like Fall Out Boy?

This is an interesting question because if applied to any different band/musician, a somewhat different answer will appear. There is broad answers which just that they are good in an objective sense, because while there is a lot of personal views on music there is an agreed upon view of a “good band”.However, there is also the more “relative to a specific group” answer. Fall Out Boy is able to be catchy and appear simple and kind of like Pop music. There is more to them as well though because their songs relate to the misfits and outcasts, or in other terms; “All boys who the dance floor didn’t love, and all the girls whose lips couldn’t move fast enough”.This combination allows the causal listener to enjoy the songs, but it also draws in the ones who build a community based off of Fall Out Boy’s music.

Why are boy "bands" so popular?

First of all, One Direction is not a band. They are a pop vocal group. (but this question applies to them too) They do not write their own music.

If every single boy in the 'band' was butt ugly would you still listen to them? They can sing decently, but they aren't AMAZING.

Every single boyband fan (Jonas Brothers, ect) I've met was a girl, and every single girl said "I like them cuz they're SOOO CUTE!!!1!! And they have gud personalities!!

Excuse me? I thought music was about songs, not the singers' lives.

Example of a REAL band. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qjb2mKCD2iA

Why were the Backstreet Boys so famous?

Why "were" they famous? Dude they just released a platinum-selling album last summer, and they're going to be recording a new one soon. They may not be AS popular as they were a couple of years ago, but they still have fans, including me. We love the Backstreet Boys because they make great music, and they're all just great, down-to-earth guys who love their fans and love what they do.

By the way, it's really pathetic when people pretend to hate the Backstreet Boys just because they think it would be uncool to admit they like them. People, what's cool is to like who YOU like, not who everyone else likes, and to not care what everyone else thinks. I'm 22 years old and I LOVE the Backstreet Boys!!!!!

Why does people think that BTS is the biggest boy-band in the world right now?

BTS is the vanguard right now of the Hallyu wave of KPop entertainment. Americans are used to having the ONE boy band craze (among teens) with everything else being for the ‘older’ crowd. It’s been 30+ years since teens had lots of bands marketed straight to them (the 80s in other words). However, in Asia, that’s not the case at all. Korea & KPop rule there, but all the Asian countries have lots of boy bands & girl groups that cater to teens. Popular KPop groups have MILLIONS of fans - crazy, intense fans. These groups did start coming to America at least 10–15 years ago, but it’s taken that long to grow interest. However, right now, with BTS, that interest is catching fire - last year started it but I’m expecting to see a blaze erupt with their current tour. Once a trend starts in middle schools, it’s incendiary. And there’s a TON of other KPop groups for the kids to choose from, starting with EXO (bigger in South Korea than BTS in fact). KDrama sites have been growing exponentially for 10 years now, and since KPop Idols often star in the dramas that gives recognition. Given the number of world-wide fans of BTS, they ARE the biggest boy band in the world right now, BTW - cause, you know, ASIA….

Why are boy bands more popular than girl bands? Why are mixed bands even less popular? Is it due to their songs or factors like looks, etc?

Boy bands have been more popular than girl bands for years. Even now, One Direction earn much, much more than Fifth Harmony and Little Mix. This is for a variety of reasons.1.)Firstly, teenage boy bands are specifically targeted to teenage girls. It's a recurring theme in which both parts play up to stereotypes: attractive teenage boys sing about how attractive somebody is (which the teenage girl can assume to be her). Of course, this is a generalisation. These songs can lead to a higher self esteem, which is a positive, as well as boosting sales.2.)Meanwhile, teenage girl bands do not have the same type of audience to appeal to. Their audience consists of mainly teenage girls as well, but as a majority of girls are heterosexual, their looks do not play a huge part in it. Teenage boys generally are not huge fans of girl bands, so the girl bands' audiences are often smaller.3.)A possible reason may be that boys tend to have more powerful voice(when it comes to bass and sopranos even) which apparently more people like.P.S: Some points are taken as a reference from another answer.

Is BTS the most famous boy group in the world?

Even though I'm an ARMY, I wouldn't really go ahead and declare that they are the most famous boy groupEXO has a very huge fanbase both in Korea and over the world, and EXO is more popular in South Korea than BTS.BIGBANG is also really very famous and have a lot of followers as well as artists and groups who are inspired by them (BTS themselves are BIGBANG's fan)And even though One Direction is (was) a boy band, we can say their popularity was really huge, and there are a lot of ARMYs who were once Directioners (not me).The Vamps are also very famous but tbh, I only came to know about them a few months back, so compared to worldwide popularity, it's not as famous as BTS.Not forgetting, Linkin Park , The Beatles, Backstreet Boys, were real famous in the 2000s however their popularity declined over the years but are still loved by all their fans. Every 1990s or 2000s kid has once in their life have heard about these groups even if they haven't heard any song.In kpop, SEVENTEEN, Got7, BTOB, Winner, Wanna One, Super Junior, iKON are famous too, but again not as much as compared to BIGBANG, EXO and BTS.EXO was requested to perform in the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics 2018 (?)(or was it 2017) but it happened this year in the beginning, so you can get an idea about their popularity in their country. And EXO is really very popular all over the world as well! However, BTS is towards world domination (jk) as they break records, gets into the billboard chart, sets a Guiness Book of World Record for the highest tweeted, as well as getting Top Social Artist 2017 in Billboard Music Awards (BBMA), earlier held by Justin Bieber over last few years (like from 2011-12 to 2016).After BBMAs, their attention was brought to The Chainsmokers, and they collaborated to give us the amazing 'Best of Me’ . But still their popularity wasn't too amazing up until the American Music Awards (AMAs) . They were invited and their performance lit up the stage (not literally), evsn their big fan Ansel Elgort (Augustus Waters from The Fault in Our Stars) ws so haappy! They got huge traffic and their fanbase grew over the next few weeks and it was when Mic Drop Remix was released which got to 100M views in a month, also peaked at No. 48 in the Billboards. There were many more positions in Billboards which I can't recall right now. But I hope this helped cxYes, they are one of the most famous boy groups in the world. No, they aren't the Most famous yet, however I believe they will be one day cx~ARMY

Have boy bands always been girly or are they just getting more girly.?

One direction looks like a bunch of g a y kids having a party together.

They all think they're cool when they start singing songs that are mainly for chicks...it just sounds so feminine. What happened to man music? You know, Billy Idol and some Sammy H or that good ol' Rock n Roll. Guys nowadays are misplacing their balls.
