Why Starch Gets Percipitated By Half Saturation Test

What is the reaction of sodium carbonate and acetic acid? How does this reaction occur?

Sodium carbonate is a basic salt.. While acetic acid is acidic.. So neutralization reaction is carried out that leads to the formation of a salt,  sodium acetate and carbon dioxide and water is formed along with it

What happens when hydrogen peroxide reacts with potassium iodide?

When hydrogen peroxide is added to potassium iodide in neutral solution, the potassium iodide acts as a catalyst in the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen. The reaction occurs in two stages, via an intermediate oxyiodide (OI-) ion;-H2O2 (aq) + I- (aq) --> H2O (l) + OI- (aq) H2O2 (aq) + OI- (aq) --> H2O (l) + O2 (g) + I- (aq) Since the iodide ion is not consumed by the reaction, it is classed as a catalyst. In acid solution there is a different reaction. In the presence of H+ ions, the potassium iodide is oxidised by the hydrogen peroxide into elemental iodine, and the hydrogen peroxide is reduced to water;-2KI (aq) + 2H+ (aq) + H2O2 (aq) <---> I2 (s) + 2H2O (l) + 2K+ (aq)This reaction is reversible and therefore, unless the iodine is removed from the system, an equilibrium will be reached which will depend on temperature and the initial concentrations of the reactants.

What is the product of sulfuric acid and sodium carbonate?

there are two ways 1 . Na2CO3 + dilH2SO4 -------> Na2SO4 + H2O + CO2  2 .suppose if Na2CO3 is hydrated(it has water of crystallization) and when you use concH2SO4 concentrated H2SO4 Na2CO3 .10H2O -----------------------------> Na2CO3 + 10 H2O the hydrated crystalline salt loses its water of crystallization and crumbles into an amorphous anhydrous powder as dehydration has taken place as concentrated sulphuric acid is a dehydrating agent that removes hydrogen and oxygen in the ratio 2:1 that is water ok

What is asked in viva of class 12 CBSE chemistry practical exam?

Depends on the mood of your examiner. If they're in a good mood, they might ask you basic questions like group reagents, salt colours, reaction (brown ring and chromyl chloride important) titration equation, etc. Project related(aim and procedure) Function group reagents and tests, differentiate between different compound (phenol and aniline etc.)If they're even in a better mood, they might ask you easier questions, like how's life, school kaisa hai, khana kaisa hai, gf/bf hai ki nahi etc.If they're feeling lazy, they'll see your face, look towards teacher and wave you off.If they're feeling angry, they'll ask you anything from chemistry, reasons for any godforsaken effect in inorganic etc.If they're feeling like kicking your ass,(partly because their marriage is failing) they'll make you cry, by not asking anything related to practical, and asking difficult question from the far depths of chemistry theory. Even if you answer correct, they'll say they are not satisfied. My examiner was the last type. That godforsaken tardigrade made everyone cry in their viva, although written part and practical went good. He didn't ask one practical related question, all from theory. And by theory, I mean deep theory.I hope his house gets filled by an inexhaustible supply of H2s gas.Harsh, you don't even know.Read the practical book viva questions, and you'll do fine. I read from full marks and comprehensive.
