Why is the Indian education system so fucked up?
Here is why indian education is messed up.A student is asked in 10th class whether he has interest in science or commerce or arts. But the student hardly knows anything deeper. For that guy it is just whether he wants to be an engineer doctor or a psychologist. Seriously , i can bet the fact that when students come in 11th half of both science and commerce want to reshuffle there streams but they don’t because of pressure by parents , sharma ji ke bete ke marks and all .Reservation- For all those who are in support of reservation i want to ask those jaats , tribals etc etc if you can afford a decent house .car then why the hell you need reservation . You never experienced any difficulty in life. I know people from south delhi , even outside delhi having not just houses but bunglows and yet they are using reservation . This seriously needs to stop . Even a general category student can need a reservation. Maybe he experienced something. There are a lot of gen category students who do not have resources to pursue there dream education and have dream job.Rather than giving reservation Give them good education in 11th -12th class. If a person even uses reservation status for graduation degree he than acquires full knowledge for becoming self dependent Why give reservation in masters degree or even for government jobs.Corruption in colleges- We all know IIT’s are best. But apart from IIT’s there are a lot of other govt colleges. Every year atleast a fund of 10.000 crore is allocated to govt. colleges .Apart from it they take fees approx 1.5–2 lakh per annum. We have private institutes running better than these govt institute with merely 10% of this funding. Yes indian minds are best no one is born a dork . Everyone is intelligent. It is the education system that makes one dull and intelligent.Rather than making a intelligent person go for debates school should encourage students with hesitation the ones who really need guidance.
My schools grading system is so corrupt, what can we do?
So our school had this genius idea to switch to a 4 point grading system. This would be all fine and dandy if they knew what the hell they are doing. There are 4 grades you can get now 4 (100%), 3 (75%), 2 (50%) or 1 (25%). This means you can only get an A, C or F on assignments/tests/quizzes. All of the students hate it because it's so unfair. Say you Earned an 80% on a test, you get bumped down to a 75% because that earns you a 3. The school board are morons and keep saying to wait it out and don't think of it as percentages, but as a 4 for exceeding standards, a 3 for meeting standards etc. Colleges look at your GPA, not how your school board feels and this seriously screws over your GPA. The school claims no students have been denied college admission because of the scale, but we just started it this year so semester grades haven't been pulled with the new system. The teachers also won't do it with decimals, because "it takes to much time."Plenty of parents and students have complained and the board just keeps saying it will help in the long run and to wait it out while they make it more efficient. In the mean time, here we are getting our GPA's irreversibly screwed over. I'm an A/B student on a normal grading system with all the percentages and letters, but now I am having to do all of my assignments over and over because I keep getting 3's and I don't want a C on my report card. Can a school seriously do this? Denying a student the grade they actually earned? They even admitted it bumps some students grades up or down so while it hurts a lot of people, it unfairly gives extra credit to people who didn't earn the score they received.
So what did Yahell Mail do now?
I was able to pick up my mail this morning. I got off about 7 AM to have breakfast. Then when I went back in now, I can't access my mail. The session keeps expiring. And I see so many others, even around the globe are having the same problem. We've gone to hell on a greased sled since this new format. And the groups are still royally messed up too, though they've been working on that. Yahoo, don't you see this problem now? When are you going to fix it?
Does weed mess up a pregnancy test?
You are pregnant. Weed does not mess with hormone levels. That is what a pregancy test does, it tests the hormone level changes in your body. Get to a doctor as soon as possible and lay off the drugs. Early drug abuse will mess with your baby. When I was first pregnant, I had all the symptoms of a pregnancy also but no bleeding.
Why are human beings so completely fucked up?
Because we are highly intelligent.We learned how to use resources to expand our power!We can enslave some of us, and design animals and plants to serve us better. (Domestication and artificial selection.)Then we can enslave most of us.We learn to use stored energy… easy energy like coal and oil.We are excellent!In the shorter term. We are liers. No rich person I know will change their consumption, and they pay the ones with the guns. That is true in most countries.We will remain fcuked up until we make a more successful shared human culture.I am working on that with every effort I can muster.
Why is Linux so buggy?
I know I’m going to run against the grain here, but I have to echo that I have had terrible experiences using Linux as a desktop operating system.Now, understand that I am a software engineer and I use Linux every day at work, but I don’t use it as a desktop operating system. I use it as a server operating system, and in that respect it is excellent, stable, reliable, and cheap.But as a desktop operating system, it has historically been less clean and mature than Windows and Mac OSX. Let me call out the biggest issues I have had with Linux:Problems with drivers, such as wifi cards not working or graphics drivers not taking full advantage of the hardware in my machineProblems with software compatibility, such as having to use 3rd-party tools to install common software products like Microsoft Office or most of the video games people play (I realize there are ways of doing this now, but it is often glitchy and certainly isn’t easy for beginners). Sometimes, even linux software glitches out while installing using the official package manager, leading to you having to try to manually fix things or reinstall your whole operating system.Problems with kernal updates conflicting with drivers and bricking your whole machine. This has happened in the past when I used linux and leads to me having to have another computer to use while googling and trying to figure out what is wrong followed by trying to edit config files in vim to fix things. Not fun and clearly makes the operating system unusable for a non-computer-programmer.Now, it has gotten much better over the last 10 years, but without cooperation from hardware manufacturers, it will never truly be as clean as Windows and OSX. I expect that computer programmers with a lot of spare time will probably struggle through linux and enjoy being the cool person using linux in the office or at home, but for most of the world, an operating system with better hardware support like Mac OSX or Windows is going to be the way to go for the foreseeable future.
Why is South Africa so messed up?
Corrupt Government. Our politicians worry more about staying in power than actually doing anything to improve our country. Our leaders are also woefully inept. Our actual laws are fine, but the legal enforcement is bad. The divide between white and black was not so big ten years ago, people began to actually embrace diversity/ But recently the country has become so dangerous and the government so corrupt, that people have once again turned again each other. This incident is not a racial issue, but it will surely serve to create one. And I have to mention that a small group of police officers are very good and honest workers. They have to work with corrupt and incompetent co-workers, face derision from society and they get little pay (some are reservists who work for free). But they do it, because someone has to.
