Why Was The 10th Doctor Lonely

What can you tell me about doctor who?

so yeah I've never seen it before, but i do plan to when i get the chance. I was wondering if any of you guys could give me a brief summary of who the doctor is and what the show is about

Why does The Doctor need a companion?

There are the obvious narrative needs that come with a TV show off this sort which are, primarily, that the show needs someone for the audience to identify with and it ain't going to be The Doctor. He's too strange and powerful. But flitting about the non-TV materials, novels and audio dramas and such, is this intriguing idea that the Earth has an almost biological defense system that sends out the companions, much like white blood cells, to keep The Doctor in check. The idea is, basically, that were he to travel alone, he'd lose touch with the idea of mortality and his ”humanity” would slip away. He'd still be a good guy, but his methods might become a bit cruel. The Eighth Doctor, interestingly when he's trying to ditch his companion, Charlie, in the Big Finish audios describes her as a “Memento Mori”, a reminder of mortality. In the Virgin New Adventures, the Seventh Doctor's companion Benny is actually described as white blood cells that keep him from scheming too cruelly. (It only sort of works.)The Tv show itself actually approached this idea in the Capaldi run by his repeated questioning of Clara if he is “a good man.” Clara was pretty overt about that she was there to keep him tied to humanity.(An interesting side note to this is the idea that the 9th through 13th Doctors show a progression through recovery from PTSD. Well worth a Google.)How deliberate this all is is anybody's guess. But it's interesting.

Do you like the last doctor from Doctor Who?

Peter Capaldi definitely was the right person for the role when he was announced. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of the show and knew instinctively how to convey both the giddiness of a hyperactive child and the gravitas of a very old, mysterious scholar, which is what the best Doctors (in my opinion, Four and Seven) do. That being said, I do think “Into the Dalek”, “Listen”, “The Zygon Inversion”, “Heaven Sent”, “The Pilot”, and the Series 10 finale are his only good episodes. He was brilliant in the role, but the writers and VFX men just simply weren’t up to having him as the Doctor.Jodie Whittaker was attuned for this era in history, considering the sociopolitical events and trends we face today. As an actor, she is good as a charismatic figure, and I love that she makes defining the Doctor much more by her trust and empathy look easy. But she still needs the imposing air of mystery that One, Four and Seven exuded. She also needs a defining “quirk”. To name examples, One had his monocle, Two had his recorder and the way he would escape foes, Three had his spy gadgets and vehicles, Four had his boxing skills and jelly babies, Five had his cricket skills, Six had his brobdingnagian command of argumentation and his cat brooch, Seven had the spoons and parlor tricks, Eight had pickpocketing, Nine and Ten….er, I don’t know, they didn’t really strike me as unique other than their hopeless romantic schtick and working-class sensibilities, Eleven had the drunken giraffe dance, and Twelve had the electric guitar. Thirteen needs a quirk to make herself stand out even more, and fast.We already know the Doctor is an energetic, hope-bringing, gun-hating, gadgeteer genius with advanced improvisation skills, and is trusting and empathetic, and passionate about mercy, fairness, equality, and liberty, and gleeful around Earth culture. These are the basic tenets of the Doctor’s character, and Jodie Whittaker does them well, but, and I cannot stress this enough, they’re only the basics. I know that had Richard Ayoade, Matt Berry, or Phoebe Waller-Bridge been chosen, then they would’ve taken their quirks up right from the first minute onscreen, so I’m not completely confident about Whittaker’s ability to make Thirteen unique, next to any comic actor who was suggested for the role. But it’s only her fifth episode with plenty more to come, so she still has time.

Doctor Who related names for a female cat?

When The Doctor regenerates, does he loses his memory?

Nope, The Doctor still remembers everything. Although there have been problems with Regenerations.

When the seventh Doctor was shot his regeneration in the eighth Doctor was interupted and he suffered temporary memory loss. When the ninth Doctor took the heart of the Tardis into himself it caused some damage that caused problems in the tenth regeneration. And when ten became eleven he wasn't used to the new body "early days, steering's a bit off".

What do you think? I’m planning to write a fanfic about 10th Doctor from another universe where he and Rose lived together. A lot of plot twists and a boot strap paradox. I know there is a comic about him but, should I continue?

-Rose Tyler is barren and died due to a disease.-Doctor grew older and lonely. (As always)-He inexplicably got his regen ability from the crack. The one that also gave a new set of regeneration to 11th in The Night of the Doctor.-They both got the regen at the same time. (Wibbly wobbly)-He started a new adventure after he found a Time Vortex.-He met the ancestors of Gallifreyans.-He’s the one who invented the Tardis. (Boot strap paradox)-Greater Intelligence (main villain) made a clone of The Master.-He failed to save a woman and her child. The woman became the new face of his next regeneration and the child’s face became Master’s.-11th Doctor helped him accept himself as the new Doctor the 2nd universe. He told him that he’s more than his right hand now.-He regenerated into woman (Tilda Swinton inspired)-Somehow, The Doctor got the woman’s memory. Which will play a big part and a big question-Her companion’s full name’s acronym is N.E.X.T., which means his face will be the face of her next regen.-The said 2nd regeneration is a 21 year-old.-Third regeneration is Martin Freeman inspired.
