Why Was The 70s Dance Troupe Called Pan

Whats it called when a bunch of people seemingly spontaneously start dancing?

I was thinking it was called a 'happening' - but I don't think that's it. what I'm talking about is when a group plans on all being a a park, or intersection or where ever and doing, say, a dance all at the same time, I guess one person starts, then more and more join in, as a surprise to people that are there and have nothing to do with it.

What is it called when a group breaks out into dance?

what is it called when a group breaks out into dance in a public area like a Walmart. The dance is choreographed and they start dancing and then just walk away? I hope I have described this correctly.

What's it called when a choreographed dance breaks out in a public place?

flash mob :)

What is the difference between rock and pop?

Pop is the short form for popular music . Pop is easy to listen and sing, has generally mundane lyrics and simple in structure . It can be sung by a single individual with a back up musicians or occasionally by a band . Pop music is played by males and females in almost equal proportions Examples of famous pop artists- Frank Sinatra, Neil Diamond, Madona , Michel Jackson . Adele Justin Beiber etc Pop music will always have some dedicated listeners - teen and pre teens and older adults too but not many fans in 15-40 year age group Rock is more beat oriented with prominent guitars and drum sound. Rock is generally band oriented and has more mature lyrics . Rock music band mostly have male members though there are quite a few of bands with female artists - mostly vocalists . Musically rock is more complex and evolved into several sub genres- progressive rock/ psychedelic rock/ alternative/ heavy metal/ hard rock / folk rock: country rock / shoegraze and even pop rock Example are - Beatles/ Stones/ Deep Purple/ Led Zep/ Black Sabbath/ yes/ moody blues/ R.E.M. / Nirvana - the list is endless Pop on the other hand doesn't have many sub genres and the music falls into easy listening category The Beatles during 64-66 ( till help album) were basically a pop band but beginning with Rubber Soul they were transformed into a high class rock band till they remained together The Rolling Stones on the other hand started and continued as a Rock band till date ( over 5 decades)

Cultures & Groups: Why is Puerto Rico always stealing the music of other countries?

The most popular music genres in Puerto Rico; Salsa, Reggaeton and Merengue aren't even Puerto Rican! Yet Reggaeton and Salsa is already seen as "Puerto Rican music" when it isn't! And soon, Merengue will reach the same fate!

Panamanians created Reggaeton, then a bunch of uncreative Puerto Ricans went to Panama, stole their music and made it their own.

Cubans created Cuban Son, then Hector Lavoe and Tito Puente went to Cuba from their barrio in Puerto Rico and stole Cuban Son rhythms and called it "Salsa".

Dominicans created Merengue, and now with people like Elvis Crespo, They're about to steal that from us too. IT's already started:

^^^^See what I mean? Puerto Rican Merengue is trash, I shouldn't even have to say "Puerto Rican merengue", Merengue should be DOMINICAN.

But I swear, If Puerto Rico takes away from us the most authentic of Dominican music, Merengue TIPICO, I will riot Puerto Rico and I will never associate myself with Puerto Ricans ever again. Merengue Tipico played by DOMINICANS how it should be:

Why are Puerto Ricans so uncreative that they can't come up with their own music genres?
