Facebook is asking for my mobile number to "confirm my identity"?
facebook has not allowed me to sign in for the last couple of days asking me to "confirm my identity" by asking for my mobile number. The problem is this may be a scam and i don't have a mobile phone and i am not willing to put in any phone number or personal information like this. No one i seem to know has had this problem, they all log in fine. I am confused and want to know how to get around this and log on properly. Thankyou!!

Either way it’s pretty simple, really.Settings>Security and Login>Two-Factor Authentication>Edit.There you should be given the option to use your new phone and a code will be delivered to that phone number. That’s really all there is to it.IF for some god knows what reason the code doesn’t arrive, it might be due to server overload and you’ll just have to wait a bit.
