Actually, you can stop exercising.

The key to fat loss is not exercise, it's diet.

Any exercise will burn calories but no exercise will burn fat unless your diet allows it. You can burn fat in your sleep or you can run all day and never burn any fat. It all depends on your diet.

Fat loss is determined by calorie control, not by exercise. Good exercises for burning calories are speed walking, biking, swimming, dancing, etc. and ANY other physical activity which makes you move a lot of weight for a long time. But NO exercise is good for burning fat if you eat too many calories because you can always eat more calories than you can burn but you can't always burn as many as you take in.

Too many people waste energy and time because they do not understand this one simple point. The result is too often giving up in frustration, abandoning gym memberships they continue to pay for, and many other unnecessary problems not the least of which is a lack of success.

An average person must walk about five miles every day for a week to burn the calories equivalent to a pound of body fat. So, unless you think walking about five miles a day (or doing an equivalent amount of exercise) with no guarantee of fat loss makes sense, focus your fat loss program on diet.

Your sprained ankle if your own fault. Jumping rope is a poor way to try to burn calories and you found out why. It's punishing for the ankles and feet and it's high impact which effects other body part adversely. What you should have been doing is walking or swimming.

Assuming you can't bear weigh on your sprained ankle, then you're going to have to hop on one foot or get a crutch and perambulate or modify your diet so you can keep your loss rate without the exercise. Only you know what you can do with your problem ankle.

Why are my legs looking fatter but I've been working out more?

I workout extremely often. I do strength/toning exercises every night. I spend half an hour to forty five mins doing a combo of abs, butt & legs exercises. They seemed to be working but lately I feel like it's not the same. Maybe my body is getting bored of the same workout for months? I read that maybe I need to do more endurance exercises like running/walking instead of strength. Is that true? Also I'll be honest- I haven't eaten the healthiest lately either. I give into cravings. Eat more than I should. Any advice on any f this will be helpful. I'm leaving for vacation in 4 days & want to hurry & look atleast a little better before I go. Thanks guys.! Dearest one stop with what you are doing right now.
You might develop an eating disorder.

Believe me as soon as you stop that "diet" you will gain twice as much as you lost.
I do not want to scare you, I don't even know you full stats, eating habits etc but it sounds really worrying.
Right now I am trying to recover from my eating disorder. And it is hard, but possible.
My journey started with EDNOS (Eating Disorder Not Otherwise Specified) which led to BED (Binge Eating Disorder).
After losing radically fast weight I started to lose hair, underwent serious depression, got lethargic and anemic. Good that I knew I had to stop before it was too late.

The time I wanted to recover my body was so starved that I was out of mind - I started to gorge down every food within my reach. I was so ashamed of myself. Then I started to use laxatives (PLEASE DON'T EVER TOUCH THEM). They totally messed up my intestinal flora. It took a whole year for my flora to fully recover.

The point of my long rambling is that you won't ever be "skinny enough". Because your mind is tricking you. I am the same height as you and also weighed the same, I know how 105 pounds look like. You are fairly slim and I am convinced that you look great!

So please stop. Don't try to lose any extra weigh.

The more I exercise the more unfit I get?!?

I'm trying to lose fat by running, I'm also trying to get a six pack, and I run on the treadmill to do this. A few days ago I ran and i did it until the back of my eyes throbbed with pain and I was heaving. Now when I try to do the same intense exercise i feel dead at only 10 minutes?
I've stopped the treadmill just so I could post this question

Are my genetic trying to make me unfit?
Is it because I'm asian?
My parents are very unathletic looking,my dads fat and my mums an asian who has that unlucky untoned look. She exercises 24/7 she still has arm flab and loose skin and can't get toned.
Im sweating the pacific over here and it's been ten minutes?
Is there rly a genetic disease that I may have?

Am I screwed. Did god make me a typical asian with unfit genetics?

All I want to do is break the stereotype that asians are unfit and weak.regardless of the outcome Ill keep fighting for what I want and to become a better person but I just don't want it to be vain
