Why When You Play Guitar Hero You Look Away The Walls Are Moving

Why do i hallucinate after playing guitar hero?

Don't listen to them, it happens to a lot of people after long hours of Guitar Hero. You watch the notes "fall down" on the screen for so long, that your eyes and brain automatically adjust to seeing things directly in front of you move like that, so when you look at the walls, your mind compensates for the motion, even if it's not there, so it looks like the walls are moving up or down.

Why do you get hand cramps when playing a guitar?

Yes, it’s normal for most people. It’s why they tell you to relax when playing guitar. To get the sounds right we often grip the guitar harder than we have to, especially the fret hand. Try these things to help you outSee how lightly you can press down and still get the chord or note to ringIf you get cramps stop immediatelystretch, there are hundreds of videos or websites that cover stretching for instruments or guitar. It’s an important step. Athletes stretch for a reasonwarm up your hand before jumping into really hard stuffwhen playing chords down hold them down the entire time. Try playing things and releasing. Not all chords have to ring out, especially rock and punk where there’s more staccato feel to the rhythms.Learn the correct way to hold the guitar. If you play classical there are certain positions that allow the guitar to sit comfortably with little effort being expended to hold it steady. The guitar should sit on your lap without moving allowing your hands and arms to focus on playing the notes. Adjust your strap to the correct position if it’s too low for you.I played classical guitar and had to have surgery for RSI because I played so much, that and the cortisol shots I used to get for my thumb really hurt. You’ll do so much for yourself if you take it slow, stop when it hurts, and

Why does the floor look like it's moving when I look at it?

This is a very common thing, and you're definitely not the only one...

There are quit common reasons for those actions. I have a sinus infection and what that is, is when you have runny nose, colds frequently and what not and what usually happens when you have sinuses which is basically a fancy name for "cold" or "sniffles" but, your equalibrium gets knocked off and messed up. And the equallibrium is a balance source and sinuses usually mess that up and since the balance is being triggered in a negative way, you can experience swirls in the head, troubles balancing, wavy motions, things moving, and a slight tilt in objects like a house or so on.

Last year, I had those EXACT problems. The floors were moving, things were wavy and you have a non-signal TV type of fuzzyness onto your eyes, kind of like tricks, And trust, it is absolutely NOTHING to be worried about, But I do recommend you seeing a physician to find medications like Nasinex and Allegra and all that to control and hopefully stop those events. But I hoped I answered your question properly xoxo. Take care(:

Hallucinate playing Guitar Hero?

one day i was playing guitar hero and whenever i would finish a song or stop playing, i would hallucinate when i looked at this one plant in the room. the plant was like continuously moving within itself. it was kinda like on shrooms but only for that one plant. i think it was because of how during the game the screen is moving up because of the notes. anyone else ever get this?

Is it normal that it hurts my left wrist when I play guitar?

I used to get that a lot when I was learning to play.  Specifically, it was a pain across the back of the wrist that got worse when I would bend my wrist inwards (as though trying to touch the inside of your forearm). It's a form of repetitive strain injury that comes from a combination of poor technique, and insufficient warm-up.  You need to lay off playing for a week or so to let it heal, then do some stretching before you play, and at least 10-15 minutes of warm-up once you start, focusing on increasingly wide stretches (3-fret stretches, then 4-fret, etc), making sure you keep your wrist straight on to the end of your forearm (i.e. move your elbow away from your body, rather than twisting your wrist to get your fingers in the right position to play). In my case, it got so bad, I developed a ganglion on the back of my wrist, but by making sure I always warm up and use proper technique, it hasn't happened in 20 years.

Guitar Hero Hallucinations?

Yeah. Its from the focusing on the notes moving downward and the relieving of stress on your eyes after taking a break.

Anyone elses vision go a bit funny after playing guitar hero?

yeh everytime me and my bro and his wife, and really anyone, play guitar hero all our vision is affected.. if u look away from th screen after playing, say at a wall, it looks like the wall is moving up.. like its crawling up..

so its th same as u said..

weird huh.. my bro's wife wont play it cos it makes her motion sick afterwards.. soft.. lol..

Does quitar hero make your eyes go funny when watching/playing it?

YES! Here's why. When you concentrate on the notes that are moving consistently towards your brain/eyes become almost hypnotized on them. And then when you turn away or look at something else in the room it appears as if it is moving slightly or swaying.

You are right I have experienced this many, many times. It especially happens on very long songs with thousands and thousands of notes! Awww!

Think of it as an optical illusion almost. When you concentrate on the object enough, your brain is "tricked".

Will learning how to play guitar help with my depression?

There is so much to say about learning to play a guitar but I am hurrying! The fast answer is “YES!” During the VietNam War I skied to take my mind off the war. Skiing requires 100% attention every second or you face the consequences. Playing or learning to play the guitar takes you to such a place…a place away from your perceived problems, and as your skills improve it adds to your satisfaction and confidence. Chord formation or other skills which seem to be impossible give a big boost to you when all of a sudden you realize you have gained that impossible skill, and were using it without even thinking about it. If you are so inclined you can share your thoughts about things in life by writing a song which shares your troubles with others in the world who have faced the same issues bothering you. Such sharing has a way of easing your items causing depression. How many people shed tears as they listen to such songs feeling the pain in the song? As an educator I also know there is a positive correlation between improved eye-hand coordination and one’s ability to read. You can play the guitar alone or join in jamming with another or others. You will find you will start sharing new discoveries in techniques, etc. with others. And you will find everyone has an attachment with music…and will be drawn to you. And most will never hear your mistakes. Go for it and enjoy it for life!
