Why won't my screen saver stick?
Well... it's not a normal Windows 7 thing. I'm sure you assumed that already. So, you were able to change it from the default screen saver settings, to Bubbles... and how much time passed between making that setting change, and deciding to use the Photo Slideshow as a screensaver? A few minutes? A week? A month? I'm making you think about that, because if it was just a few second or a minute between changing the screen saver to Bubbles, then deciding to make it the Photo Slideshow... then the issue might require reinstalling Windows 7... er... performing a factory recovery. If you were able to modify a system setting like that, and then essentially IMMEDIATELY not be allowed to modify the same system setting... that points to an issue with the installation of Windows itself. If your decision to change the screensaver was something that happened over more like a week or a month, then it could be an infection that you picked up that is preventing you from making the change. Does it reject that change too? Is it only the Windows Photo Slideshow that is rejected? If so, there is a band-aid option... install Google Picasa http://picasa.google.com/ as it comes with a photo slideshow screensaver that offers more features. Is there a way to stop your screensaver from starting up when foobar is active?
It is getting annoying to try and skip songs and have to exit the screen saver and re-log in each time (Yes I want my screensaver to do that, just not while foobar is active)
Why won't my Windows screensavers work?
It keeps saying "Windows could not start this screensaver." My screensavers have always worked. They aren't downloaded, these are the default screensavers that came with my computer. The previews for the screensavers won't work either when I try to use a different one. How can I fix this?

First, you must save the photo onto your computer. Do that by selecting the photo, right click and save it in a folder (of your choice) on your computer. Open that folder (folder cannot be in Flimstrip View. If it is change the folder view (menu option VIEW) to other than Filmstrip. Now open the photo and right click on it. You should get several options one of which is to save it as a BACKGROUND. Background is the screen saver you are wanting to do. Select that option then test your setting by going to the Display options (right click on your desk top (not an icon) and then select property, select screen saver on the tab, and see if the photo is in the sample display.
