Winterboard Icon Not Showing Up?
I jailbroke my ipod last night and tried to get a theme installed therefore i downloaded winterboard off of cydia. The winterboard icon wont show up and ive tried numerous attempts to re install it. Please Help Me!!
Every time I try to install via CYDIA on my iPhone, it shows "NetDB: Open nodename nor servname provided"?
I suddenly started experiencing the same about an hour or two ago (so a couple of days after you). Apparently, there are several possible problems: Either cydia is down, your phone's Cydia repositories are stuffed up and need deleting, or the phone just needs a hard reset. For the first, waiting a day should help. For the second, there's some process you've got to go through which I'll link down in the sources. And for the third, try hard reseting (in fact, that's the first one to do since the other two are much more time consuming ;)) EDIT: Ah, it just started working again for me - check now and hopefully it's working again for you too. EDIT2: Also, if you haven't done so, check that Wifi works in other applications - my wifi seems to have tricked me into thinking it's got full reception when it wasn't even working in the first place (required network settings reset in "general settings").
My phone isn't loading correctly and apps won't even load?
I have an LG optimus dyanmic i recently bought and after installing some apps, all the apps stopped unexpectedly so I restarted my phone and then nothing loaded. The apps won't even appear and I'm trying to restore my phone to factory settings but I can't find that option since nothing will appear. Please help. Thanks.
Can't update or install new apps on iPhone 3GS?
I've had the phone since April and haven't had a problem like this before. I can go into the app store and look at apps, I can even see which apps need to be updated. I can read the updates that will happen. But when I click install or update, #1 it doesn't prompt me for my password, it just goes straight back to the homescreen, #2, it will finally ask for my password about 2 min later and then #3, it hangs on the "waiting" load bar and never goes past that. I've synched up to my iTunes account with no changes available there. The iOS is up to date, my card used on iTunes is up to date, my password is correct, and yet I can't update or install anything. Things I have done: 1 - restarted my router 2 - tried it on 3G and on Wi-Fi 3 - restarted my phone (several times) 4 - reset all settings 5 - synched up with iTunes for any available updates. Help would be GREATLY appreciated.
How can I fix my iPod? It won't turn off, I have the white Cydia icon, and I can only access some of my apps.?
I have a 2g ipod touch and i have recently jailbroke it with redsn0w. My ipod at he time was a 4.2.0 i think or a 4.1. But when i jailbroke it the cydia icon was white (cydia opens for a sec. and goes out) and it wont turn off now. I hold the power button down and slide to lock and it shows a loading screen, then it comes up as the unlock screen. My brother tried restoring it, i tried resetting all the data in the settings and everything went away but the cydia is there without a white icon but still wont work, wont turn off and it has this flickering thing that is going on from the start. Please help!!!!
