Why Would A Child Keep Pounding The Sofa Or Chair With His Back It Looks Like A Habbit Pounding

Is it Illegal to lock your young children in their bedroom?

I have seen a child do this before. She was the child of a woman I use to be friends with. If I was ever at her house for the night, my child would get up with her child and do the same thing.

One, or both, of these children have issues with food, this could be because of a medical reason. Are either of these children on medication? There are some medications from what I understand that can actually cause a child to be very hungry and they will do this type of thing. This could also be a mental health thing. The child I knew had been taking medication and was very thirsty and hungry from it and this was a type of side effect.

The first thing I would do is get locks for all the cabinets, and for the refrigerator. These things work sometimes, and sometimes they do not. If you have tried things like this in the past and they did not work then get an alarm. They sell these most places. Instead of locking their door...which is not a good idea and you could actually get into serious trouble for doing...get an alarm to put on the outside of their door. Shut their door at night and set the alarm. When they wake up in the night and open their door, it will go off. It will wake you up and will scare the crap out of them. You guys get up and tell them they are to go back to bed and they are not to mess with the food. Reset the alarm and then wait. They will most likely try again. Repeat the steps until they know that once that alarm goes off you are going to wake up and stop them, eventually they will stop. This is the only thing that worked for the child I know that did this. That, and switching medications.

How do you discipline a cat without hitting him?

A cat understands pattern and tones, they don’t understand authority and dominance. When you play with your cat and your pleading your cat in high pitch soft “ow ow ow kitty let go”What cat hears is “friendly play play play more play!” and the cat won’t stop.So rather than conveying words, convey tone.If you like to convey “no” convey the stern serious “tone” and the cat will ‘feel’ what you mood his actions have caused. At first he will be confused to ‘why’ but if you keep up the pattern of claws = stern tone, eventually the cat will figure out the pattern and learn to withdraw the claws to continuously play.Make sure to keep your actions matched with tone. Continuously playing while saying ‘no’ is saying yes and no and yes and no and yes and you get my point. Also give them pleasant friendly tones when they are doing something that pleases you and entice them with rewards so they do so again.Cats are also pretty smart and their brains are differently wired than dogs.To cats, authority is temporary obstacle. ‘Long as the hooman is there I will get screams and butt smacked for doing that one thing, I’ll wait.’ The cat then will do what it wants to do when you are not in the room.So how to keep cats in-line without your authority?Make the spot unappealing. You want cats off couch? Scent it with lemon, put down foils, tape on the bed. The cat will get stinging smell and offensive sensation on their paws. Same with counters, beds, or anything you want them off of. Also giving them something allowed (pretty much a cat furniture) next to forbidden place will give them the option to compromise.Give them a choice, the hellish sense offending human spot vs the pleasant cat furniture next to it. The cat will stick to the cat furniture and once it becomes a habit, you will no longer have to keep spraying lemon and take off the tape on the human furniture. On side note, your cat wants to be part of your family and scent is important. They want to exchange scents to feel part of the family. How they do that is to rub on you and contact places where people hang around a lot. This often happens to be your spot on the couch, your favorite chair, your bed. Keep in mind your cat never plans or thinks of what happens and is only fufilling its needs.

Roommate hitting my dog!?

maybe if you were not such a clueless twit, your dog would not have been injured ... the roommate should have beaten you if you want my opinion for being so freaking clueless ... your dog is a dog and if your roommate wanted to sit in a chair FOR A PERSON, your dog should have got down ... and if your dog would not get down you should have got up off your lazy stupid *** and moved the dog yourself ... the fact that you laughed, thought it is funny your doberman is human aggressive and bit both of your roommates for wanting a chair, you are a pathetic, sad excuse for a dog owner ... if you got this dog already screwed up there is no hope for him, because with an owner who finds human aggression funny, this dog has no chance ... your roommate should have threatened you because you are the idiot who thinks her dog (that should be put to sleep) biting people is funny ... i am "horrified" there are dog owners like yourself ... YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE for your dog being beaten within an inch of his life (100% i bet you never brought the dog to the vet after the beating) because if you had of treated your roommates with respect and your dog like a dog, you would not have post all this stupid drivel ... and get it through your double digit IQ, YOU are the one lacking respect ...

Is squirting cats with water AND/OR VINEGAR a fair punishment?

i think water would be okay, because a tiny few drops of water will just make them stop what they are doing....but Vinegar???? that seems just mean. Vinegar makes my eyes burn when i open a bottle of the stuff.....i would think vinegar would not be very nice...just water. I use the water technique also i have heard that you can put tin foil on a surface or where ever they are getting that you don't like and they will avoid it because they don't like the way it feels on their feet, but my experience with this is they just end up playing with the foil!!!! This may sound kinda strange but what i have found works the best is to make a loud sound or crash or raise your voice when they start to claw the chair or whatever the naughty kitty behavior may be. I just shout "AAAAA" and the loud noise freaks them out and it is like they think the couch is making the noise or something, work like a charm for me and i don't feel guilty about having to get them wet cuz i know the girls(my cats) absolutely hate that. You could try that. Or if you don't want to raise your voice you could get a little clapper that you would get as a party favor or at a football game and clap it loudly when they misbehave. Ya Vinegar seems almost like animal cruelty!!!! :(

As for "The House of Representatives" replier I don't know what you are 'representing" because you obviously don't know ANYTHING about "The House of representatives" do you even know what the house of representatives is? They are involved in making laws. By calling yourself "The House of Representatives" i would assume that you would know something about the law or you are just a common fool. You are rather pompass for stating such a horrible comment about an action that would obviously violate The Animal Welfare Act, the law prohibiting cruelty to animals. We other people on the other hand, here in the 21 century are highly aware of the fact that murdering an animal is illegal. I am sorry to inform you but we no longer live in "The Sticks" where things like animal cruelty is accepted as common behavior. You need to go check yourself. I don't care if you were joking or not, it is not funny, please don't joke about this.

Have you ever fallen asleep with your baby?

Since she is not mobile yet so I wouldn't worry too much about it. I have done that as well with my daughter. She was laying on her boppy on my bed and I was just so tired that I fell asleep as well. With my son I accidently fell asleep with him laying on me.

When she is older that is when to worry but for now I wouldn't worry too much. I also wouldn't do it too often. If you are worried about it then next time she falls asleep try to put her in her bed so then you can sleep more peacefully.

There are some moms who co-sleep with their babies and that is fine for them. However I am not one of those moms. I am afraid that my baby will suffocate. So I would either try real hard to stay awake or I would try to put them in their beds or the pack and play so I can sleep peacefully. Don't get me wrong I did slip up and fall asleep like I mentioned before and everything was fine but I just prefer them sleeping in their own beds. That is me though.

Stop beating yourself up over it you are a tired mom and sometimes you just fall asleep.
