Why do dogs kill cats even when they don't eat them?
From My Personal Experience as a Human Being & also as an Animal Lover, Both The Cats & Dogs belong to "The Order Carnivora" in The Systematic Classification and Both have Canine Teeth which are Pronounced and Both Eat The Flesh or Carrion of other Animals if available, and both Cats & Dogs can also become Omnivorous (Though Cats are Not Supposed to have a Vegetarian diet) if their Regular Prey or Meat is unavailable, and depending upon the situation.Since Naturally Cats and Dogs are Mortal Enemies in Nature - The Dogs generally will Readily Kill a Domesticated or a Smaller Sized Feral Cat (of any type and Sub species) that is available.And The Big Cats like Leopards are usually into Killing of Stray Dogs and also Pet Dogs since The Leopards & Leopardesses will be Larger in Size and have a Body Frame & Build to Kill other Smaller animals.So Yes, I have also Seen Dogs & Cats being Friends - If they had been Raised together from a Very Young stage.I have also seen Dogs Eating Cats whenever they Make a Kill and I have also seen Leopards Feasting upon Dog Meat whenever they get a chance.It depends upon the Occasion - Basically Larger Animals Feast upon Smaller Animals since that is how Nature works in general - The Mighty prevails over The Weak, & Animals who are Physically Smaller & Weaker will be in a Spot of bother and with a Huge disadvantage while Facing a Stronger contender.I am From India, & I had witnessed a Stray Brown Dog near my House Eat a Fat, Dead Grey Tabby Cat - Probably The Young Brown Dog's Parent/s had made The Kill, and they gave The Cat to their Child to be Eaten or they might have Found The Dead Cat in a Nearby Road or in a Dump yard, and the Young Brown Dog had already Eaten off The Dead Grey Tabby Cat's Stomach and Lower body parts.To my Horror and Dismay, Just a Few Months Later - I saw The Same Brown Dog Eating a Dead Black Middle Aged Dog ! Again I am Not Sure if The Brown Dog's Parent/s had made the Kill or they Found a Dead Dog nearby, It was Horrible & Gruesome to see a Pack of Dogs Eating another Dog - One Of Their Very Own Companions & Species !It was Cannibalism and Barbaric - I had till then Never Seen a Dog Eating another Dead Dog in particular.So there you go - Dogs Eat Cats & Smaller Animals, Dogs Eat Dogs, Bigger Wild Cats Hunt & Eat Dogs along with other animals - So in Nature any Permutation & Combination is Possible and Any Animal can Eat another Animal whenever The Need arises.
Has anyone ever tried Dog or cat meat?
I'm not psycho I'm just curious.....how does it taste? I heard it's good. And don't say dog eating is wrong, because in other countries it's just like eating cow. By the way, eating cow in India is 100X worse than eating dog in the U.S..

Having been in the military for so many years, I've been in countries where pork, beef and sea foods are considered dirty meats. And we as Americans consider it healthy and clean. It is just different cultures and food choices that seperate us. To them dogs, cats, turtles,elephants,monkeys are just animal meat meant for human consumptions. I respect that and I don't want them to tell me otherwise which meat I can and I can't eat coz that would be wrong! I've tasted dog meat and it tasted better than the cat. I'd prefer to eat it over a goat but I'd rather have lamb anytime!!! It was cooked adobo, kaldereta and kilawen...yum,yum!

I used to date an Asian and his family ate dog. The meat turns black when it is cooked, kinda like when pork turns white.
Why do Vietnamese people eat dogs and cats?
First of all, not every Vietnamese eat cats and dogs. I’ve never met anyone eat cats.When I was 10, my dad took me to a “restaurant”. First thing I saw was a burnt dog hung up in front of the place. My dad calm me down by saying it was fake, this place sell chicken fake dogs meat. As ridiculous as it sounds, I believe it, well, I was 10 and he was my dad. We sit down and eat. That's right, I was 10 and I ate dog meat, I thought it was chicken.Now, my mom is Buddhist, hardcore, she forbid eating pets. We even have dogs in our house. The weird thing is my dad absolutely adored our dogs. He cried when they were stolen from us.When we came home that day, Mom casually asked:-” How was it? Did you guys have fun? Are you full now, honey? What did you eat?”.-” It was good mom. I ate chicken fake dogs.”Mom went bad shit crazy, she hits my dad, she kept on repeating that she does not want me to go to hell.So as you see, in the same household, one is against eating dogs( pets in general), one loved it, and one doesn't know what the hell was going on( that was me).My dad eats dogs cause back in military, he tried it once and he likeD it. During the war, food is a mean to survive, any food is luxury.My dad still eats dogs because well, it's not illegal.However, Vietnamese main religion is Buddhist, eating dogs is forbidden. So there are a large percentage that is against it.The younger generations are heavily influenced by western media, and we don't struggle for food, so we don't eat dogs, I know I don't.
Do people in japan eat dogs and cats?
o____________O ... No. The weirdest thing I've ever seen eaten here is horse. No one eats cats for sure, and there might be one person in the whole country who's eaten dog. (I'm exaggerating, but you know what I mean.)
