Why Would Democrats Agree To Cut Spending W/o Revenue Increases

If the Democrats take over Congress, will they repeal the tax cut, as Nancy Pelosi says they will?

If they take both houses, there’s a lot they’ll do.I would say they’ll just dive right in and do their damnedest to bring Trump down by opening the floodgates of the Russia investigation. Ending the threat of his presidency is a huge priority. However, I think Pelosi will ultimately push for a more moderate “let’s make a deal” strategy. The Democratic leadership thinks of themselves as the adults in the room. It’s important to note that Democrats have only a handful of “shots” in their arsenal to push through party-line legislation in the Senate. The strategies all center around the filibuster. They can abrogate it for budget acts, and possibly for electoral reforms, and they can also abolish it entirely. That’s about it. They have to make it count, because the voters WILL punish them for the action, and the only restraint on Republicans after the Democrats take their shots will be whether the GOP thinks they can get away with repealing them.If they’re smart, they’ll push for electoral reforms and let other issues (healthcare, immigration, taxes) sort out later in a more competitive majoritarian system. If Democrats make the next election a referendum on reforms that expand the vote, and those reforms are popular, Republicans will hesitate to repeal them.

Does raising Personal Income Taxes increase or decrease revenues?

Well, done, you should be ashamed.

You used numbers and sources and scared away all the Rhetoric Mongers and Haters.

I use the same approach, baffle 'em with specifics and facts, it works.

Now why can't Republican Politicians learn to do that, rather than rant about Abortion and HOT Topics? We need to flood them with IRS facts and figures.

Tax cuts, why do the democrats hate middle class tax cuts?

Okay, listen... I'm not really a democrat or a republican (I fall right smack dab in the middle of conservative and liberal) so this is an objective opinion.

There are so many things that need to be addressed. Are tax cuts wrong? Not if they're being given for the right reasons. But if tax cuts are being given to appease an unhappy public because of seriously wrong things that are going on, then they aren't a good thing.

It's like giving a child a toy so they won't get mad you forgot to feed them dinner.
