When You have a Stock iOSNo one can access your camera without your explicit permission. The applications which have access to your camera however can access it and if someone have hacked your credentials for that app can see your already taken pictures and in some cases access your camera too. Why does Apple not put a Flashlight on the iPad?

There are a couple of reasons Apple doesn't put a flashlight on the iPad.1. There is no flash on the iPad. The flashlight on the iPhone is just the flash for the camera always being lit up. Since this is not on the iPad, the flashlight option cannot be used.2. The iPad isn't a great device to hold in one hand and search for things or look where you are going, unlike the iPhone. The iPhone is smaller and more mobile. Plus, you will usually always have your iPhone on you, your iPad, not so much.3. Apple creates an ecosystem and wants you to have an iPhone, iPad, MacBook, and Mac (desktop). Since you already have an iPhone with a flashlight on it, you do not need a flashlight on your other devices.Basically, it is not needed for the functionality of the device. No time would I be carrying around an iPad and want to use it as a flashlight, especially when a normal flashlight or an iPhone is so much easier to use in that instance.

Why does my iPhone's battery drain quickly?

The first thing you may want to to is bring your iPhone into an Apple store. They can help you determine if it's a hardware issue. If it's not a hardware issue, below are a few things you can do to preserve battery life. One of the biggest battery drains is screen brightness. To make sure your brightness is not too high, swipe up from the bottom of the screen. You should see this pop up. From here, you can turn down the brightness if it's too high. The screens below are all available from Settings:Now, you'll want to see which apps are draining the most juice.Apple has battery usage stats built into the OS.To see them:1. (first to to Settings, as shown at the beginning above) Go to Usage2. Then click "Battery Usage."3. Voila! You can see which apps are using the most battery. To turn off apps' ability to auto-refresh in the background:1. (from Settings, as shown above) 2. Then go to Background App Refresh. 3. From here, you can toggle indivual apps off, or just turn all of them off, based on what you just learned about which apps are hogging battery.GPS is also a huge drain. Some apps are on all the time pinging your location. To adjust your location settings, and restore some sanity on your phone:1. From settings, go to privacy2. Then, go to "Location Services."3. Finally, you can scroll through the list of apps using your location. I noticed that Dropbox was a battery hog, so I turned its setting from "Always" to "Never." (all Dropbox needs my GPS for is to begin a camera upload; not a critical function, I can just open Dropbox every once in a while to begin a camera upload). My last suggestion is to turn off automatic downloads, app suggestions, etc from the App Store.1. From Settings, go to iTunes & App Store2. I turned all of these off. No automatic downloads of music, apps, books, or updates will happen. And Spotlight will use less juice hunting around on the App Store. I left Apps alone; this way the spotlight can still find installed apps on my device. If anybody from Apple is listening, stop the madness!!!! Either spend more energy on getting better batteries to us, or have your UX and engineering teams handle more of this in the background. It's crazy how fast my battery drains without doing these things.

Laptop randomly playing videos while closed?

So, my laptop's been acting a little strange the past month or two. It all started the beginning of last month, one day I was watching a video with VLC media player and heard this odd music in the background that I knew wasn't part of the movie. I paused the movie, and the music kept playing. I checked iTunes, nothing was playing, and I even closed it to see if that would help. I did the same thing with Chrome, I checked that there were no ads playing, and then closed it. I checked the Task Manager, it didn't show any programs running which would cause that music. Finally I decided to restart my laptop in the hopes it would help. It did, though the music kept playing the whole time it was shutting down and didn't stop until it was finally off. I got my camera out and took a video to record the song and see if I could identify it, a friend later said it was Mandarin Taiwanese.

A few weeks after, I had closed my laptop for the night but left it running. Around 3am, it woke me up playing some very loud advertisement. I was half-asleep and didn't think to check if there were any ads open in Chrome, I just closed out of it and muted the computer before closing it again.

Then this morning, about half an hour ago, I got woken up again. I'd left my laptop closed and running again, with a tab of the TV show Ghost Adventures open on Youtube. Around 1:30am, I got woken up by the sound of one of the guys on the show yelling "Show yourself!" followed by the creepy sound effects they play in the beginning of the show. Apparently the episode had restarted itself and started playing, once again even though my laptop was closed.

Is there anything I can do about this? I'm not sure if it's a virus or not. My computer isn't really having any other problems other than this. I'd like to be able to fix it, otherwise I'll have to start muting my computer before I go to bed at night.

For my birthday - Macbook Pro or SLR camera?

hellloo (: merry christmas (early)
haha it's my birthday on christmas =p

anyway, my question is: for my birthday my parents may get me a macbook (i asked for one lmfao) but i also want an SLR camera. they are both around the same price. i tried convincing my dad and he said maybe (most likely yes) about the macbook; later when i asked about the SLR camera instead (he asked me if i was SURE i wanted a macbook and i said that i'd like a macbook OR an slr camera) he started saying stuff like "youre not old enough" (even though imo age doesn't matter, it's the level of photography that matters) and then "I want you to focus on school" and then suddenly "I dont want you to go into that field"

A) what would you want for your birthday?
B) what should I say about the camera, or should I just drop it? >_<

I want both but I need to pick one, so help please <3

What is the green light on a MacBook's camera?

This little light tells you that the camera is active. This is so that you know it is working or not working, or if someone turns it on remotely with out you permission. Most webcams have this nifty little light, but they aren't always green. On some USB web cams, it means that either the camera or the internal microphone in the web cam is being used. Hope this helps.

My instagram videos wont process or upload?

I'm having the same problem but its only with videos that are a combination of numerous clips. The videos that are one strait shot load smoothly. Any of mine that have 3 or more clips will not get through the processing stage and if I restart my iPad the video disappears. I'm so bummed I made one yesterday that took all day lol, it would have been awesome.
