How do u take your pictures off of google?
I recently tried googling my full name and I saw my picture. It was a photo I posted on facebook. I want to remove this photo from google.. How do i do that? By the way, i removed the picture from facebook, but it still apears in google images.. And why out of all the pictures of my on facebook, google chose that particular one to have in their image results? when i click on it it doesn't come up bigger like normal pictures it says link broken but its still there when i type in my name

I see no reason not to, at this early stage.Later on, if you find you get abused because of your picture, you can figure out what helps you get through the internet abuse-free. I certainly don’t show my picture, because it can be relied upon to make my internet life hell. But as some people have pointed out, it doesn’t usually happen to people. I think you must have to be quite grotesque before it’s an issue.I understand what you’re talking about when I see the odd profile picture and wonder how (or if) that person manages to succeed online. Quite a few unattractive people who show their pictures have a lack of self-awareness and self-acceptance. It’s only sometimes due to a lack of intellect; it’s more often that they have been lied to, because nobody knows any other way to help them come to terms with it right now.In this culture, everyone around them will tell them they are attractive or that they shouldn’t feel too self-conscious. Yet if they’re out of high school (where everyone gets bullied) and their appearance is truly and frequently provoking abuse, they are the common denominator. Showing their picture is obviously not going to work out for them. Some never analyse and accept their situation, as it can be too much to take.The other problem is that people believe you have to think you’re attractive to have good self esteem. It’s not really true, when you think about it. You might be able to accept your appearance even when you are forced to acknowledge others won’t. You may believe other positive things about yourself instead. There are many ways to acceptance.
Why do companies like Google or Yahoo provide free email services?
In addition to driving traffic to their website and generating revenue out of ads and other paid services , like extra storage for Gmail, I can now see that they have been sitting on a huge resource called ‘data’, which is now driving their AI first initiative.Must have been a very futuristic strategy from their leaders to offer services for free now and get data for the future.
Why did you choose to post or not to post your picture on your Quora profile?
It literally wasn’t even a choice for me. My employer strongly discourages staff from having any visible online presence, and I've learned to take their policy seriously. While 99% of our patients are perfectly reasonable, we do get some nutty ones. If you've never been addicted to anything you probably wouldn't believe how angry some people get if we have to dismiss them from the methadone program. I've had my tires slashed, my car keyed, and once a patient called everyone in the phonebook with (what he thought was) my last name to tell them I was a whore.Other patients are confused by the professional interest we take in them and develop unhealthy obsessions with us. These people are scarier than the first group. One man tried to follow me home from work but since I went straight to my in-law’s house, he ended up staking out the wrong house. Then he saw my husband’s sister and forgot all about me. He proposed to her as she was getting in her car to go to school, but she managed to get help and call the police. They arrested him for a probation violation. His original crime? Stalking and raping a young woman. I'll never forgive myself for unintentionally leading this man right to her doorstep.The only reason that I can be on Quora at all is that all my clients and coworkers know me by my husband’s last name - which I’ve never legally taken on. When the previous director hired me I was annoyed by his sexist refusal to call me by my actual last name, but my husband’s family is well known around here and I'm used to that occasionally overshadowing my individuality. Now I should probably send him a thank you card since his sexism has allowed me to use my real name, as required, here on Quora and still not be recognized by people from work.I’m not sure if I would have posted a picture of myself even if I didn’t need to fear being recognized by patients. It's not that I am ashamed of what I write, I’ve never gone anonymous and anyone who really knows me would recognize my uncommon last name. I'm happy with the way I look too, but I like that Quora is not some hook-up site for Instagram narcissists. I did choose an avatar that resembles me as much as a cartoon can, to personalize my profile a little, so perhaps I would have chosen to use a discreet, non-flirty picture of myself if I could. I really don't know what I would have done…
Why is she using fake pictures?
I think it's because they are insecure. I mean the reason i use a cartoon thing is because i'm way to self conscious about what people think, i have used real picture of me on facebook and msn and people have said some nasty things which have really hurt my feelings so i dread to think what the trolls might say about me! Your very pretty so it's okay for you and all the other people who use a real picture but some people are so insecure that they decide they need to use fake pictures to impress people and mainly guys, if somebody told me i had to put a picture of me on here i would use a real one and not a fake one. =]

How can I accept the fact that I am not pretty?
When I was a teenager, I was about to go to a party and I was making myself up. My uncle and his friend were talking in the living room. I never forgot those words. He was so right. A pretty girl is easy to forget, there are many pretty girls and chances are I will never be the prettiest in the room. A memorable, captivating girl either tells you something you've never heard before, or makes you laugh like you never did or is the most kind and caring person, depending of each person's strong points. Find your best trait. Maximize it. Use it to your full advantage. Become memorable.What I also want to add is that being beautiful is irrelevant. Sure you're going to turn more heads but I don't think that's something that's going to make anyone more happy (unless they're a narcissist), plus you most likely will not have any interest in most of the people you attract and it gets annoying.If you're concerned with finding a partner I don't think looks play the most important part in that. Why do so many women get that ugly tattoo on their lower back?
I have a large back piece that can't be labeled 'tramp stamp.' I like tattoos and think they can be gorgeous if the right person is doing the work- I have 14 tattoos and intend to finish up with half sleeves. Some men find this unattractive. These are men I'd probably not date even if I had no tattoos. I lean towards art-driven men, like musicians and painters, or the more liberal type of guy who is more likely to read Nietzsche and Camus and work on hot rods than he is to read Field & Stream and watch football. Some people do get tattooed for odd reasons-- just to do it ("I want a butterfly on my back!" or because they are drunk ("I love you forever. What's your name? I need that tattooed on my shoulder!") But for some of us it's just a pleasure (maybe a vice) no different than anyone elses sense of art or style. You may spend $600 on a pair of shoes, I'll spend that on my right arm. I've been careful over the years to ensure my tattoos can be covered in normal society-- I clean up real good. LoL It's a necessity- I'm going to be surgeon. The average patient wouldn't want to see ink from fingertips to neck-- so although I'd love to have more work, I need to "fit in" with normal society....
Yahoo vs google.. which is better as a search engine?
hmm... good question. I think it is a matter of preference of who is doing the searching and what features that you are most familiar with. Alexa.com ranks yahoo #1 and Google #2 but that is as a website in whole, not just search engine. They have different features and different search options so i think it is a matter of preference. *NOTE* I am the webmaster of www.louisiana-coast.com and i can tell you from personal experience that it is harder to get a good rank for my website in Google, than it is in Yahoo.
