Will 0bama Need His Pen More After Republicans Take The Senate

Obama camp predicted victory in Indiana by 7 points what happened?

MEMO: Why Did the Obama Campaign Predict Victory in Indiana? Does That Prediction Still Stand?

Three months ago the Obama campaign produced a spreadsheet that, with one exception, has accurately predicted the winners in each of the upcoming primaries and caucuses.

Tellingly, that spreadsheet predicted an Obama victory in Indiana by 7 points, as well as an Obama victory in North Carolina.

Does the Obama campaign still stand by that prediction? If not, why not, and what has happened?

It is easy to see why the Obama campaign predicted victory in Indiana. Senator Obama has won each of the primaries in the states that border Illinois Iowa, Wisconsin, and Missouri, and 25% of Hoosiers get their television from Illinois stations a huge advantage for Senator Obama. Indiana s primary is open, and Senator Obama has tended to do better in those contests.

The Obama campaign has also dramatically outspent Senator Clinton in Indiana by more than $2.4 million — $5.6m - $3.2m and has even gone up on broadcast television in the very expensive Chicago media market.

Despite Senator Obama’s advantages and his prediction of victory, we have worked hard in Indiana to do as well as we can and anticipate a close finish.

In North Carolina, Tuesdays other contest, Senator Obama enjoyed a lead of over 20 points in public polls throughout this year and outspent us there on TV by $1.3m — $4.9 - $3.5. Senator Clinton has been working hard to narrow that 20 point gap

Why are the Republicans holding out on passing immigration reform this year?

Immigration reform is still a lot less popular with core Republicans than it is with core Democrats. Republicans who support any form of immigration reform will probably lose party support (they just won't turn out to vote) and will probably face a more extreme primary candidate during the next election. One of the big problems is that illegal immigration actually helps certain types of businesses. It keeps wages low and workers quiet. No one really wants to get rid of illegal immigrants and those who have suffered for it. When one South-East state cracked down on illegal immigration, farmers found a severe labour shortage where they couldn't find workers at any price, let alone below minimum wage. When Texas tried to pass a law making it illegal to hire illegal immigrants, it contained three massive exceptions - domestics, farm workers and landscapers. Many conservatives believe that illegal immigration takes away jobs from citizens. However, there's little evidence to support that belief. It's not that legal immigrants and citizens are lazy, it's often that the type of work illegals do is short term, requires moving around a lot, or requires investment in equipment. Some wag pointed out that if illegal immigrants were banned in South Florida, no one would be able to cut their own grass because few Floridians own a lawnmower - landscaping services are more cost efficient than doing it yourself.

If the Democrats win back the House and the Senate in November, what actions might Trump take to stick to his agenda?

Trump does not have *much* of a legislative agenda, other than whatever he likes in a given moment. He’s even scuttled bills that he had supported just days earlier. Meanwhile, he is also adverse to taking the time & effort to negotiate with the few conservative Democrats needed to pass GOP priorities. As such, my read is that he would give huge concessions to the democrats to get some little fly-by-night goal of his, then have r/the_donald brag about how he totally pwned the libtards. But, who knows when it comes to Trump.Beyond legislation, his agenda is to threefold - a) funnel as much money into his bank accounts as possible, b) get praised & c) golf. About the only thing the legislature can do is to keep a spotlight on the money thing.

What happens if democrats win the house or senate in midterm elections?

Easy if they win the house, the will investigate until the Congress can do virtually anything. They can impeach whoever they want but need 2/3 of Senate to do anything else. Trump will just use his pen and phone as did Obama.

Ted Nugent said he would leave the country if Obama won, did he leave yet?

yeah its typical of you america hating liberal socialist scvmbags to tear a part a guy who loves his country and values the second ammendmint. nugent has honor. you low lives have none. nugent loves this country and our traditional values but you people hate them.
