Will A 1990 Chevy Truck Work In A 1995 Chevy Truck

What are the differences between a K1500 and a C1500 Chevy truck?

Plain and simple, the difference between a K series truck and a C series truck is a transfer case, different suspension, and a front axle. The K series truck is four wheel drive and has these items. The C series is two wheel drive and does not, therefore, it also uses a transmission that has a longer output shaft and a tail shaft housing, because it isn't mounted to a transfer case. The C designates the vehicle as a two wheel drive. The K, a 4WD.Some other differences are that many of the earlier models of the 2WD truck used the 5-bolt lug pattern while the 4WD used the 6-lug pattern. Also, the 2WD truck used a rotor integrated into the hub, and that hub had an inner and outer wheel bearing and bearing races, as well as a grease seal, in the hub. The hub and rotor were mounted on a spindle and a nut was used to hold it in place, similar to how the front hubs were mounted on most rear wheel drive automobiles. The 4WD hub was part of the axle assembly. The rotor was placed on the hub and held on by the brake calipers.

How much oil does a chevy 4.3 v6 hold?

It takes 4.5 qts with a small oil filter or 5 qts with the big oil filter. In either case it's not going to hurt anything if you put 5 qts in the engine.

Will a Jeep Grand Cherokee 5 Lug Rim fit a Chevy C 1500 Pick up?

No, unfortunately not. The Chrysler 5 lug is the same as the older Ford truck 5 lug. Ford and Chevy kinda made it point to make their stuff incompatible. I can see why you'd ask, though. You may have noticed that the Jeeps made under the AMC nameplate in the '80s had some GM components, like the washer/turn switch, and ignition and key cylinders, just to name a couple. But just for referance for you, the C is from the old Fisher body codes. All the 2 wheel drive full size trucks are 'C' bodies, and all the 4 wheel drive trucks are the 'K' bodies. On 1980 and up GM's, this is the fifth digit in the VIN. Now, you can use rims off of some mid 70's Lincolns. I have seen an '86 C1500 and the owner had rims from a '76 Continental on it. That truck has the same 5 lug bolt pattern as your truck. I don't think you can use rims off of the S/T body (2/4 wheel drive S10 trucks) but you may want to verify that. If you can, then you could use rims off of the F body (Camaro/Firebird) which I think would look cool. Also, you may remember the rims on the The General Lee from "The Dukes of Hazzard". Those are the American Racing Vector Series. Well, American Racing reintroduced that rim a few years ago, I think they call it the Vector Classic. It's available in Ford and Chevy 5 lug, but oddly enough not for Dodge. If I find out more before you close this question, I'll add it here.

1991 chevy k1500 Reasons why the injectors will not spray when starting?

I own a shop, and think this; The most common cause for this is; the ignition control module has gone bad. It sends a signal to the computer, to tell it when to fire the injectors. No signal from this module, means no signal to the injector. You will find it under the distributor cap, and down under the rotor button. Replace it, and it should run fine. Another reason may be a power or grounding problem, but don't make it more complicated than it really is. Most ignition control modules require a layer of heat sink between it and the mounting surface, or it will burn the new one up.
Its worth looking at, but some systems have two fuses for the fuel delivery, so make sure its not a fuse, and that you have the required fuel pressure at the rail. You will find a red wire behind, or around the brake booster, that is a test/prime wire for the fuel pump. Hook a 12 volt supply to it, and the pump should come on. If you tested the injector signal with a noid light, then its more than likely the module I talked about.
Glad to help out, Good Luck!!!

Need to know tail light wire colors on a 1991 chevy 1500?

i bought a 1991 chevy k1500 and the tail lights and reverse lights do not work. i need to know what each colored wire is so i can try and re-wire it back there. once these are fixed i am also going to hook up auxillary reverse lights. so if anyone knows what color wire to wire the positive of these lights to it would be a big help.

Where is the turn signal flasher unit on a '89 chevy truck?

It is in the electrical convenience block, not the fuse block. The fuse block is above the hood release handle on the left lower dash but the electrical convenience block is under the dash on the left lower interior firewall where the floor board meets the firewall. You can't miss it if you look where the left side floor board meets the firewall and if you put your left foot on the floor board beside the park brake pedal your toes will be pointing to the electrical convenience block. The turn signal flasher on that is not a round cylindrical flasher. It looks like a square relay and it is ACDelco Part # 9442872.

What is a good tire PSI for my Chevy Silverado?

I feel compelled to respond to this one. The proper tire pressure for your vehicle is NOT located on the tire sidewall! That is the maximum allowable pressure spec at maximum load from the tire manufacturer. Keep things simple. Just use the information provided on the door jamb. Unlike other information, this is specifically for YOUR vehicle. Since “ Silverado” was the only vehicle information provided, no one technically had enough information to supply a specific PSI.
