Will A 2 Year Old Iphone 4s Work Fine

How many years will the iPhone 6 last?

You see, iPhones are much different from Andriods.iOS receives updates every year. And all users update their IPhones every year with the new OS. Its help improve phone performance and bug fixes. (you can use the phone without update, no problem in that. But one theres a problem too. Suppose you use Whatsapp. And your iOS version is 8.0 and suppose Whatsapp Inc. has stopped making there app for iOS 8.0, so you are stuck and not able yo update your Whatsapp and use it. So, you have to update the OS and update Whatsapp. Its not Apples fault. The apps maynot be made compitable with 3 years old OS thats it)Similarly, IPhone 6 will receive updates uptill Sept 2019 and once new OS is released IPhone 6 will not support it. But its not the phone goes switch of from there. You can use it with no diffuculties. Iphone 3GS and IPhone 4 works even today after 7 years with no problems. You can use your IPhone 6 for atleast 5 years. But if important app company like Whatsapp, Facebook, Twitter etc stops app making for your last unupdateable iOS, you are f*****.However, IPhone 5s works fine with Whatsapp and its been 4 years priar to its release. It will work for 5 years, i can guarantee that.

How can I save battery on an iPhone that is 2 years old but functioning fine?

It’s time to replace the battery. A lithium ion battery degrades over time, and 2 years is quite a long time for a phone. You can either do it yourself, or have it done by a professional. That’s the only proper fix.

How old is your cell phone?

I have been using the same little top up phone for 11 years! It's a Nokia. Everyone looks at it pretty strange, but it makes & recieves phone calls and that's all I need a phone for!

How long will my iPhone last?

For how many years on an average can you use an iPhone? Although there cannot be an exact answer to this question because for how long an iPhone or for that matter any smartphone, or for that matter, anything else in your life, lasts, depends on how you use it, or how you take care of it and for what purpose you use it.This Apple answers link mentions that on an average you can use an iPhone for 3 years – it means you should replace your iPhone after 3 years. It’s not just the iPhones that you can use up to 3 years; Apple Watches and iPads should also be replaced after 3 years. Mac computers on the other hand can stretch up to 4 years. These are “first owners” figures, which means, people who are using an iPhone or an iPad or an Apple Watch for the first time. This information has been released in relation to Apple’s collaboration with WWF to highlight how much the company contributes to the greenhouse gas life-cycle. The longer you can use your device the better it is for the environment. The above link along with the information about how long an iPhone lasts on an average is primarily a text that conveys how environmental friendly Apple is.In the world of technology 3 years is a long time. This is especially the case in countries where smartphones like iPhone can be easily replaced and people can easily purchase or upgrade their devices without feeling the pinch. In a country like India where Apple is trying to sell 3-4-year-old iPhones, you may find people using their iPhones for more than 4-5 years without having any problem. If you liked the answer please hit upvote and follow me.Thanks

What will happen to your iPhone if you don’t update it at all to keep up its performance?

after a short while you’ll have to daily reject the update proposal, sometimes twice a day and if you are not careful enough you may start it by accident. to avoid this I have set a code on the phone (if you mistakenly start the update it won’t do anything until you enter the code, so in this way you get a chance to abort the upgrade).while being persistent in rejecting the update proposal you can consider the storage space of your iPhone 1GB less. I kept deleting almost daily the over-the-air update files and as soon as I had 1GB free Apple would download it again. There’s simply no way to prevent it from happening. So effectively your storage is reduced considerably. After a longer while (1–2 years) some of your apps will request an OS upgrade in order to install app updates. Not updating apps initially will expose you to some security risks and eventually the apps could stop working because most of them are client type apps connecting to a server (e.g. Whatsapp) which could one day request another minimum client version. (It happened to me on the 1st iPad generation: there was no support for a long time and eventually the builtin youtube app reported that it can no longer reach youtube due to some API version mismatch).

Iphone fell in water :( wont turn on?

dont' try to turn it on... put it in a container of rice. submerge it in uncooked rice. The rice draws out the moisture. My phone went for a swim in my bathtub and I put it in a container of rice and stuck it over the air vent for 3 days. It works fine now. There's a few glitches but It's fine.

Why is my iPhone 4s so slow?

I don’t know, but I’ve been told, that with a 16 GB phone, each update gobbles up a quarter of your phone’s memory, which effectively means you’re only allowed 4 updates in your phone’s lifetime. After that, with all the quadrants effectively in gridlock, signals just can’t get through. Which is why I FINALLY, just last year, stepped up to an HTC U11, although truth be known, I just wanted a bigger screen, without staying in the Apple cart. I’ve got a big problem with something, anything, cornering the market on anything. And I’ve gotta tell ya, this HTC’s the bomb! Talk about FAST! Especially on opening my gmail. And then there’s the sweet thing about just talking to it and getting an answer so fast, I look behind me to see if somebody’s using my phone like a ventriloquist! And it gets the question right too, which is a major advantage over the old 4s and it’s deaf Siri! I got so p.o’d with telling it to phone somebody on my list, and it’d tell me if I’m looking for a shop, she’d do a pile and slide in it! And of course too, now I’m looking at a screen I don’t have to squint at! The camera’s monstrous, and perhaps too monstrous, ‘cuz courtesy of the 16 MP’s the files are so big - even in movie mode, that they take days to load! But man, just look at that clarity! There’s a few niggling bugs I have with it, like it makes the same sound for incoming emails as it does for text messages, but, other than that, no sniveling! AND, I only paid $700 ALL IN, INCLUDING SHIPPING, vs. what, $1200 for an iPhone X! With apps I’d never use anyways.
