It depends entirely on the store. I work at McDonald's in a shopping area, so it is busiest at the weekends, so we have many people who only work exclusively at the weekends. But, it depends on the store, and it's location. For example, if there is a football match every Wednesday nearby, then you may find that they like people to work Wednesdays. Or if it is a Drive-Thru in the middle of nowhere, then they may not have peaks. All you can do is apply and see what happens, there is nothing to loose from trying.

How do o tell my boss i dont want to work every weekend anymore?
I have been working at this coffee shop for 10 months and in this time the management has changed twice, meaning including the manager who hired me I've had 2 other managers since. The manager who hired me told me I would only work Saturday once a month, we are a Christian owned company so we aren't open on Sundays so no issue there. Well since the management has changed I have some how gotten stuck working every Saturday for months now. There are 6 other employees who could work Saturdays but they stick me and another person on Saturdays every weekend. I'm getting fed up. To top it off I was hired to work mornings and they now have me working nights My boyfriend works a normal 9-5 m-f job and we live together. He has weekends off so I'm stuck here nearly every night and Saturday and don't get to spend much time with him anymore. I also make less tips working at night than I used to make working days. Perhaps it's because what most businesses need is not some chatbot…. Yes, for the boutique hotel we run, it was a relatively easy task to setup a website for it. I even managed to show the college student running the front desk, how to make simple modifications to it, in a single short session.However the hotel is not the kind of company that has hired me as a programmer. In fact, my skill set isn't exactly suited to that kind of work.The companies who have hired me have had significant projects, like setting up a network to trade currencies internationally, automate the programming of industrial robots, building anti-virus software to be built into routers, or designing the layout of computer chips. There are plenty of those kind of projects. They are not anything like setting up a pre-programmed chatbot.And to be even more precise, I didn't do any of those orojects single handedly. I was always a member of a team. In fact, a member only contributing certain specific expertise. Only a couple of those projects did I even have the skills to lead. Most real programming projects require domain specific knowledge. It's rare for a person to have that over more than a few specific domains.I have that knowledge only in one, writing compilers [and related tools]. I have enough in networking and computer security to do some work there, but I am not an expert there. And, yes, I have enough general skill to do a simple website, but that's something most programmers could do.See the difference? Some programming is easy and anyone can do it. Others is hard and those who can realize their limitations to some specific areas. I don't understand your business rules. I don't know how to calculate missile trajectories. I am the wrong person for many projects. However, for the right project, I am absolutely the right person.And most companies have projects that require some kind of programmer, not me, but someone with the right knowledge.
