Will A Golf Coarse Hire A 13 Year-old

How old do you have to be to rent a golf cart on a course?

My friends and I are 15 and going golfing tomorrow. Do we need to be 16 etc? The website doesnt specifically state how old. Also, are you supposed to book online? Because we still aren't 100% and we figured we could just book when we get there. Any advice is appreciated.

How old must you be to drive a golf cart on a golf course?

Ha! Wade Williams hit the nail on the head. Every public course I've been to say 16. Then I'd get out of sight of the clubhouse and let my son drive when he was 13. Private clubs may be more relaxed on this since many of those people feel like they are above the rules anyway! Wait a minute, I didn't exactly adhere to the rule either did I? I guess I felt I was above the rule as well.Keep in mind, that this answer assumes the course is in the US. I have no clue what the rules would be in another country.

How did you make money as a 13-year-old?

My best friend at the time, Mark Fusch and I used to make bank selling golf balls and drinks at the Knollwood Golf Course & Country Club in Southern California. It was 1977–78 and we made $200 a day. That works out to about $750 in 2016. We made this like 3 days a week in the summer. The Knollwood Golf course is a long narrow course with extreme rough areas along both sides of all the holes. Much of the course is set into a ravine like passage, almost a canyon feel.People always loose a lot of balls on that course and with our eagle sharp young eyes we could find up to 250 balls per day when we went “golf ball hunting” for inventory 3 or 4 days a week. We would get 3 for a dollar for most but the top of the line was 2 for a dollar. We also sold cans of cold softdrinks at a 100% markup. We made our business home the 6th tee of the back 9.At one point we had an excess of 3000 balls. I used to piss my mom off by putting a couple hundred at a time through the washing machine with bleach. With so many more balls than we could sell on the golf course alone, I started to package them in bags of 12 by the manufacturer and ball number so I could sell them in bulk in the PennySaver or The Recycler. Like I said we made bank.We would then invest in illegal fireworks around the 4th of july and resell a lot of it to the neighborhood kids.Mark and I used to take our wads of cash and ride our bikes down to the nicest restaurants in the area and order big fancy lunches. We would get all kinds of looks and questions. We would flash our wad to quell them but it just usually meant more questions. We got a thrill out of shocking all the adults… it was a hoot.I spent soooo much time on that golf course the funny thing is I suck at golf and could care less if I never play another game

How old do you have to be to caddy golf in NJ?

Ask the NJ Dept of Labor, or go on their website. I'm sure the 16 year old can work, I'm not sure on the 14 year old.

It wouldn't matter if the course is public or private, although outside of Atlantic City Country Club I can't think of a public course that has a caddy program in NJ.

Good summer job for a 13 year old boy?

Hi I'm a 13 year old boy who lives in the United States and was wondering what type of summer job I could get to make some extra money. I'm trying to save up for a PS3. There's a restaurant, gas station, and ice cream stand all within biking distance from my house, but my dad doesn't think I'd be allowed to work there because of my age. Do you think they might let me clean tables at the restaurant? I already have some small chores I do during the summer like mowing lawns and weed eating and stuff like that, so I was looking for something a little different. You'd think that with those jobs I could have a PS3 in a month or two, but my dad makes me put most of the money in a savings account, so I need one or two more jobs. Thanks for the help guys!

Can a 72-year-old still work for a job?

Sadly I disagree with the other answers. At least as a small company owner, I wouldn’t hire him. What I know he could do and I’ve seen many other people same age do, is starting a small business. He could do a lot of things better than most young people do as he has a way of seeing things different from what it is out there in the market. Also, as you describe him, I’m sure he could do really well with a small business with some help. He is probably very disciplined and has many years of knowhow in a specific market. But finding job in a company… I really couldn’t think of a company who can benefit from hiring someone so close to retiring.

How can a 13 year old apply for a job in the UK?

I would give you a job right now, based on this question.Your attitude and maturity is really quite fantastic. You obviously care very much for family and understand that your mum is doing her best for you all. She's setting a good example by going to school to create a better future for you all.Make sure that you don't neglect your own school work when you get your job. Don't try to take too much on.You can ask in your local newsagents to see if they have a need for a paper delivery person. You can ask if any local shops need help for a couple of hours after school and at the weekend. You can ask in the neighborhood (only people you know and your mum approves of asking) if you can do chores. Going to the shops, helping in the garden, putting the wheelie bins out, walking dogs. These are things people might need doing on a regular basis so you could build a good little round up.You could go to local takeaways, pizza delivery etc and see if they need leaflets delivered. What about Avon? You probably wouldn't be able to get an account yourself but if you promise to all the work, maybe your mum could do the initial set up.I'm struggling to think of anything else right now but I will come back to you when I do.Good luck sweetheart. Your mum must be so proud of you. I know I would be xx

Paper girl, or 13 year old employment.?

I am around 13 and work writing financial articles for The Motley Fool and recruiting people to blog for them. I get $100 per article and $200 per person I refer that publishes 3 articles. Unless you are passionate about stocks however I wouldn't recommend this. Don't go with the lemonade stand, mowing lawns jobs as they pay VERY little money. Here are some decent ideas:
Caddy at your local golf course (decent money and free golfing after work),
Write books and publish them on Kindle Direct Publishing (kdp.amazon.com) YES it's FREE to publish your books and you get 70% per sale
Create websites with services like Homestead and resell them on eBay (find cheap products online in huge quantities and either buy them or make a deal with the supplier to have him send them to your customers). List the site on eBay as a turnkey business that makes money.
Write an article on a service like HubPages or Ezine Articles about a product that you find on Clickbank and sell it affiliate
Join an affiliate program that pays you when people buy a service (like Homesteads affiliate program that pays you $80 whenever someone signs up with your link)
If you have the required experience become a lifeguard, it's okay money and good experience
I hope this helped and you can find links to the sites and services mentioned below.
