Will An Iphone 5s Bestbuy-150$ Bought In U.s.a Work In India

I am getting an iPhone 7 from USA. Will it work in India?

Phones in the US are more often sold with contract of telcos. These contracted phones are much less expensive than those in the market. But, they are network locked - meaning no other SIM other than that of the contracted network (like Verizon, At&t) will work on it. Thus, these won't accept any Indian SIM cards.Any network locked phone can be unlocked from most local phone shops or just by simple YouTube vidoes. But, there may be the branding and some apps of the original carrier left in your phone. This too can be removed by jailbreaking the iPhone.Another aspect is that, make sure that the phone runs GSM network and NOT CDMA. Currently, only Docomo & BSNL run CDMA and this is quite outdated in India. Also verify it supports the network frequencies (900/1800/2100/2300MHz) available in India.Make sure it's the original iPhone itself and not any clone. A clone appears exactly the same as the original and may even seem to run same iOS initially. But these are cheap Chinese stuff. If you are getting the phone from your friend/relative you can ignore this.Edit4. Warranty - You may not get this. But you can certainly pay and repair at apple service centres in India or purchase one with premium international warranty (apple care+). Do check with apple official site as my knowledge is limited here.

Should I buy an iPhone 6 at the beginning of 2018? Will it be worth it?

It depends upon your need and usage. If you just want to purchase iPhone 6 to be used as a Secondary Phone for say answering a few calls and browsing and watching videos along with occasional Facebook and Whats App usage then go for it without any second thoughts. If however you want to buy an iPhone as your Primary Device then I would strongly advice you to steer clear from iPhone 5s or iPhone 6. Go for iPhone SE, 6s or above. The reason being thatiPhone 6 in 2018 will already be 3.5 years old and there are high chances that it might be taken off market by Apple. Also the latest iOS 11 update will not perform as expected on iPhone 6.Moreover further iOS Updates focus more on 3D Touch actions which is a crucial feature missing in iPhone 6.Also, iPhone 6 has less RAM and a weaker camera as compared to 6s and others. Most importantly the battery size is small and hence it provides lesser backup if used for heavy and intensive usage for the whole day like playing games and continuously watching videos. You would probably like to invest in a higher storage variant preferably the 64GB or 128GB, something which iPhone 6 does not offer and neither will in future. Therefore I would advice you to evaluate your usage and needs and then make an informed decision as to purchase an iPhone 6 or not.Hope it Helps :)

Does Indian cell phone work in Australia?

Every cellphone is made to work on a specific number of "bands" in a particular region. But these days, some companies have adopted a policy which will ensure that their phone supports atleast one common band in every country.Considering your Redmi 2 Prime,I am glad to say that YES! You can use it in Australia. No issues. How did I find it?Step 1:Go to www.gsmarena.comType your device's name in their search box.Select the device. Now its info will be displayed. Now,In the "NETWORK" section, click "EXPAND".You can see all the 2G,3G,4G bands it supports.Step 2:Open a New tab in your browser. Now go to http://www.gsmarena.com/network-...Select your country.HERE:Australia.Now it will show you the 2G,3G & 4G network bands used in Australia.Step 3:Compare the Network bands in Step 1 to those in Step 2.Even if you get 1 or 2 common bands in each 2G,3G & 4G section, you're safe to say that your phone will work in that country. This is a really simple thing.I must thank folks at gsmarena.com for this awesome tool :)Please promote this post to imcrease awareness about the same :)

Is it better to buy an iPhone 6 from Muscat than in India?

I am not an Apple fanatic, but I have friends who are.I’d say, if you are in Muscat, buy it from here. There is an Apple Premium Re-seller if you are worried about authorization. Also, there are good deals from time to time.If you are asking about the price, then, probably you’ll find a slight difference , with the price being lesser in India.I have heard that Apple iPhone does not carry international warranty. So I’d advise you to buy the product from the country you are looking forward to live in, i.e. in case something happens, you don’t have to ship it and take more effort. Thanks for the A2A

Should I buy an iPhone SE in 2018?

It’s up to you. I think the question is more about ‘do you want to buy an iPhone SE in 2018’. That’s not a thing ‘should be done’ or ‘should not be done’.Between iPhone SE and other iPhone models, there are two biggest differences, the price and the size. iPhone SE is the cheapest iPhone compared with all available iPhone models, but also the smallest. So if you really want to buy an iPhone SE, first ask yourself: Are you satisfied with a 4 inch screen? It’s said that iPhone SE has 6S’s processor, so it sill have good performance, and also has longer battery usage for its small screen. But if you get used to bigger screen, SE won’t be a good option for you.I once used 5S, so I enjoy using small iPhone, and I got mine just in months ago, in the January of 2018.Note that SE won’t have 3D touch and Face ID, and it doesn’t have a secondary camera. And it’s almost three years old, younger than 6S, but older than 7.

How do I connect a USA iPhone charger to Indian sockets? Is there any device that works as an interface? What is the cost of that device?

You can use power socket converter. Just ask for it at any electronics or mobile accessory shop. They will give you power supply pin or plug which one is fits in your iphone charger at very cheap cost.

What's the difference between iPhones bought in the USA and in Singapore?

iPhones from the USA come in three flavours . One is the unlocked universal iPhones , that should work in Singapore without problem on a GSM carrier . Two , is the unlocked carrier branded iPhones . This sometimes will work with other telecoms from around the world but it depends on how “unlocked “ they are . An AT&T unlocked iPhone sold at an AT&T store should work , but a Verizon or Sprint unlocked may not work as they use CDMA . Sometimes with these carrier branded phones they don’t have all the radios like LTE radios that work around the world . There are different regions that use different frequencies , I have had some that wouldn’t work on anything but 2G here but are 4G back in the US . Then there are three, these are the locked career branded phones that get unlocked . They most definatly don’t have the radios to work in other parts of the world . That 150 dollar prepaid iPhone will not work in Singapore as the radios are different . If you are going to buy a iPhone from the US then get the model number ( not a iPhone 5, 5s ,6 , 6s and so on but the actual model number like A1457 model number on the back of the phone ) and check it on Apple for support of your networks in Singapore .

Is the iPhone made in Vietnam original or not? Why is it so cheap?

Be careful with any cheap smartphone “made in Vietnam”. I’m currently using an Apple iPhoneSE for Vietnam market but it has the same price as in the US.In Vietnam, there many locked iPhones that run gevey sim with cheap price but no one can be sures how long it will last, 1 week, 2 weeks or just 1 day after purchasing.Remember, Apple’s guys are smart, they will never ever let you buy their products at a cheaper price than it should be.
