Will English People Complain Of Immigration If The Soviet Union Was Still Functioning

If Polish people don't like migrants, why do they migrate to England?

If you’ll take a step back, what you can see? A nation that for 50+ years was homogenic and kept under control between closed borders. Suddenly, borders got opened, control was seized and there it was - western world, that we knew only from books or stories. How is it there? How is to be in a place that is a mixture of people, ideologies, religions? As Nietzsche once told, here was the same: we got into western europe, but also western europe started getting to Poland. With all it’s beauty and ugliness: they bring money and western problems. In last years german politics started their policy of open borders and they wanted to force THEIR policy on our contry. Germans got used to turkish muslims, to their culture. We never knew it. We’ve got our own muslims, they’re polish cossacks, historical guests in our contry for centuries. But they’re completely different and partialy in conflict with other muslims. So we said: no. We don’t want migrants from Syria etc, not in the way that germany welcomed them: without identification, without control, without any conditions. We opposed European Union and now we are called xenophobes, nationalists, far right etc. Really? In a country that never had regulations on homosexuality? In a country that have biggest jewish diaspora, that historically had special rights given by the king? In a country that fight and gave lives for Jews to defend them from Germany? Where almost 7000 righteous among nations lived? Really? In a country that has over 1 million of Ukrainians that flew from war in their country? In a country that we have tens of thousands Czeczen’s that found help here during war and stayed here?Really? We’re not stupid. Current migrants from Africa just want to get money without work. We see this, we’re not blind. Among those people are also those, who want to bring war into Europe. Jihadists try to infiltrate our countries and start killing people. This will never happen and we’ll always say NO to such a people. As to the part about migrating to England: I’ve worked there twice. It was a good experience, it was a good money. But I_WORKED_THERE. I’ve earned some money and my employer earned thanks to me even more money? Why? Because I’m qualified in things I do. Just this.

How do British people feel about Polish people living in their country nowadays?

As a very determined Brexiteer, I can tell you straight. Brexit was not inspired by hatred for the Poles. The Poles have done very well in Britain and that would not have been possible had British people hated them. They started off infiltrating the plumbing industry. British plumbers are con artists. You have to pay them fifty pounds just to come and give you a quote. Polish plumbers came in and did good work for a fair price and British householders really appreciated that.About 15 years ago, people started saying “Look at this, I got it off the Polish stall at the market .. cost me nothing.” Now those Polish stallholders have progressed to Polish shops. Within a mile of my house in Nottingham, there are four Polish shops that I know of and I will shop there in preference to other locations because the Polish shop gives good prices. When I go to other local shops in the evening to buy some beer, I buy Polish beer. It’s very good and comes at a better price than the German equivalent.British people don’t hate foreigners. They never have. British people hate workshy con artists and dole bludgers. If those liars and benefit fraudsters are British, then there isn’t much we can do about it. You can’t pick and choose between the scamming Brits and the hard working tax paying Brits. However, you can vote to throw out the scammers and con artists that are flooding in from all over Europe and draining the resources of the NHS.There is no political party in Britain that claims they will throw out Europeans who work hard and pay tax. We just want to get rid of benefit tourists and those whose home countries won’t pay for their treatment. The Poles do not fall into that category and everyone knows it. People voted for Brexit on the basis that we will welcome in those who want to contribute to our society, like the Poles always have done but we will gain the right to turn away unwelcome benefit cheats. The Poles are exactly the type of people we need in our country and they are very welcome. I have never heard a bad word said against them.

What causes contributed to the tripling of american population between 1860 and 1910?

Advances in medicine, a high birthrate and immigration all contributed to a tripling of the American population during that time.

Why did Soviet fully employed workers said "we pretend to work, and the government pretends to pay"?

The reason is because in a Socialist system they are "workers" as opposed to a Capitalist system where they would be "employees". The difference is in a Socialist system everyone has a job just so everyone can be kept busy. So, they would do things by hand that could be done far better by machine and even just dig holes so another group of workers could then fill them back up.

In that kind of system there isn't any real production, no profit to reinvest or motive to ever make improvements. "Workers" are simply numbers, hands to be kept busy and the currency had long lost any real value. Governments, you see, can print money but production gives it value.

In a Capitalist system it is value added for value received. It is beneficial for employer (who makes a profit), employee (who earns a salary) and consumer (who gets what he wants and needs at bargain prices due to efficiency and competition.

The Soviet Socialist System had "workers" doing non-productive work and were paid in worthless currency, thus, "We pretend to work; they pretend to pay us". It is also noteworthy, that the small but powerful "elitist ruling class", lived quite well on imported goods.

Funny how some people find such a system desirable. Good article on the subject below. Real eyeopener.
