My PS4 is overheating excessively. How can I fix it?

So this worked for me, it might for some of you and it might not for others. My PS4 is a launch model from the day it came out back in 2013, so it has been out of warranty for two years now.Recently, my PS4’s fan also stopped working - as a result it overheats rapidly and shuts off. I recently took it to a friends house, so I wondered if something was damaged in transit. While powering up, I could hear the fan attempt to turn on, but it made a click as if something was jamming it or getting in its way of spinning.I initially decided to just shoot compressed air into the vents as I thought a big chunk of dust was jamming the fan. However, a gut intuition told me to open up the machine - as it was now long out of warranty, voiding it was no longer a concern. When I got it open, I spun the fan manually with my finger - there was a little bit of resistance at first, but it made a “click” and spun free again. It seemed that the fan was out of alignment and was caught up against something, by manually moving the fan it snapped back into place and was free to function again.Long story short, it appears the PS4’s fan can be knocked out of place during transport.
